The presentation was at the gym. The only drawback was the way they covered the flooring was not secured. Saw a few people tripped , thank god nobody fell. They served appetizer outside the auditorium, it was not practical in the cold weather. It should have been in the lobby. Yelp.Com/list/yelp-100-challenge.

They opened the doors very late, and in consequence, the entire lobby was absolutely PACKED with people, and you couldn't even move. Plus there were no seats, so my grandma who has a hard time walking had to stand for more than 20 minutes and was visibly in pain by the end of it. On top of that, a certain gentleman who seemed to be the lead of the employees was extremely rude when showing us where are seats were, and would even go down each and every aisle harassing people who still had their phones out. He would even stand there and stare at you until you put it away, even if it was 5 minutes before the show. Is that really necessary? Can't you just make an announcement over the PA like a normal theater, and if you still see people, then by all means... Go ask them to POLITELY put away their phones. Also, the narrator in the beginning of the play was incredibly difficult to understand with all of the music, they should put it together better. Overall, I'm sure they do some other amazing shows and it's worth going, but we felt management should know about these complaints.

In addition, the Rapunzel tower mural and the cloud paintings give the room a great fairy tale vibe for the little ballerinas. Another reason why this studio is unique is bc they provide a tumbling component at the end of ballet and tap. My daughter looks forward to the trampoline and learning tumbling tricks every time. I can't give 5 stars bc of an instructor. I agree w the parents- she tends to use a screaming voice and belittles the girls. She always starts late and rushes at the end to finish in time for the next class. What I find bothersome is her son interrupts her in the middle of class and they tend to argue about whatever. I wonder if she even enjoys teaching the little ones... what made it all better is going to a makeup on Thursday and seeing how incredible the instructors is, therefore we immediately switched. Also, a suggestion- replace the flooring so the kids' tap shoes actually tap.

No cancellation allowed, you forfeited the fee once you paid, which is super inconsiderate in a pandemic. During performance, some kids remain on floor (not on the stage) because the stage was too small to accommodate everyone. Some kids who were at the back can't be seen throughout the performance because the formation never change and everyone in the front is equally tall (go back to note "it was too crowded"). What about considering spots rotation so supporting characters get to be seen a little while main characters get the most stage? Or what about alternate the front and back row during dance so at least all parents get to watch their children perform? Really, the hope was just to see a glimpse of our child, even if it's just a minute or 30 seconds, but nope... can't see my child at all! There were too many children and choreography/formation never changed. This is not a broadway performance where the casts should feel grateful just to be on the show. This is a fee-based (paid) children's camp. This should be about the children's and parents' experiences. The only reason they were packed is that they are piggybacking on successful movies like Encanto or Sing but the delivery was very poor in our experience. The camp was such a waste of time, energy, and money. Never again!

My daughter started Musical Theater…read moreSinging and Dance about 1.5 years ago when she was 4.5 and has really stuck with it; and this studio is magnificent. 1. Ms. Lindsey is THE best. She teaches the dance portion and has so much energy, enthusiasm, silliness - she makes dancing technique so accessible to this age, which quite honestly is a bit more harder to captivate since their attention is all over the place. 2. The price/schedules is so amazing. It fits what we need and there are so many class options - including acting, dancing, singing. There's just a lot more than a dance studio..so if my daughter were interested in improv/acting later, then she can easily switch to that or use a makeup token to check it out. 3. The productions and how they showcase their students on stage is genuinely such a huge effort and I'm amazed at how they can do this for hundreds of students across 3 shows - we love it and my daughter has a blast on the big stage, with the stage makeup and showing off their skills. And we also love how the costumes are stage/age appropriate - which honestly is something I've noticed in other dance companies I don't love. Cannot say enough great things about Stagelight. We love it and you will, too!

This arrangement may work for older kids who are able to listen and pay attention but definitely not good for the 4-6yo groups. Most of the kids were all over the place, talking, playing, distracting others and it was very hard for the instructor to control so many little ones and still try to teach. I don't recommend for very young children.

I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! Everyone is amazing and gracious in spite of doing this over and over and I'm certain no two shows are the same. I would only change one thing and that is that the theater request all guests to have a slight bit of theater etiquette. I understand this is an audience friendly show with interactions between cast and audience, some of these families do not prepare their children for how to behave nor correct inappropriate behavior during the performance. At last night's show a young boy hit "Billy" so hard with the stuffed rabbit that his glasses flew into my lap 5 feet away. We noticed "Billy" had a band aid on the rest of the show. Whether that was a joke or real, the boy should have been reined in by his parents long before because he was also talking or shouting out through the performance. The cast handled it with ultimate professionalism and rolled with the "punches" as it were. This truly shows how amazing they all are and why The Maverick is a great place to see a show. Now if they would just do Clue on stage again ;-)
