I had one tree up against my house and they took great care to make sure it fell away from anything that could be damaged. Kara got back with us within minutes of reaching out for a quote, and Dev came out shortly after that to come quote the work and gave a very competitive price. Highly recommend Men In Green.

Through some research on yelp and google, I eventually had 3 different companies come out and quote me. Including Dever and MIG. I don't leave many reviews on social media, but I trusted Dever's assessment of our situation above and beyond any of the other companies. His recommendations not only ended up saving us from Wasting unnecessary $, but he also identified a couple trees which he recommended for me removal, which I hadn't thought of. And he was right. When they were removed today it was obvious they had major termite damage internally, which I never would have been able to identify myself, nor did any of the other groups mention it. If we would have left those trees, we would have had some substantial risk to our home and other structures if they would have fallen naturally. Dever and his team's communication was quick and did exactly what they suggested they would, in the timeline they originally presented. I'm super pleased with the overall results, how they cleaned up, and the value of this entire project. Im not sure how far MIG travels but if you're in or around Williamson county I would definitely recommended talking with Dever and MIG.

I had Nashscapes do an install a few weeks ago. The owner, Maggie, put together a design for me…read morethat I love. She has a great eye and paid attention to my feedback and used it to create something I love looking at everyday when I get home from work. I was on the calendar waiting my turn and they were pretty much on time- which is crazy for a landscaping company during peak season. The last few times I had landscaping done (with a different company) they kept postponing the install and it was several weeks later than originally planned. That company did a great job with the install but their planning and customer service were lacking. But not with Nashscapes. They plan very well. It was a two day job. They pulled all my weeds and installed dozens of perennial plants. Then finished it off with some mulch. They hauled away my old, ugly planters that were filled with dirt. They added amendments to my soil to help my plants grow. I'm thrilled with the outcome and even happier with the customer service. It's very hard to find a company that provides a great service and great customer service. I recently had them come back out to stake up a fruit tree that was leaning too much and they'll be back again to put my blackberries on a beautiful trellis. In the Fall, I'm planning to have them install some evergreens as a privacy screen. I've definitely found the company that I want to work with to make my backyard the magical place I want it to be. I highly suggest you try Nashscapes if you're looking to make your yard more attractive. They also offer maintenance and lawn service.

And it was doubly exciting because I very rarely ever shop at a nursery or go in search of one. This was one for the ages. It may not be the first place that comes to mind when holiday shopping but I had the idea of gifting a series of flowers that align with birth months, anniversaries and special memories as gifts. Think of it as 'art' that lives in your yard. But that's about all I had figured out. Luckily, the folks at Bates took care of the rest. First things first, the place is large. It's not overwhelmingly so (so, not Opryland) but it's big enough that if you don't know what you're doing or what you're looking for, you're going to be the Sims character who just spins. Not being shy about my lack of clues, I walked up to the desk and said what I was trying to do/buy and I didn't know what else to do after that. After being complimented about my thoughtfulness, I was tag-teamed: I was given directions to find a specific person to talk to about flowers and another about shrubbery. Given that you will actually be walking through distinct areas/zones, I was given landmarks to note. I appreciated all of this. I was a fish out of water and every instruction was a sign of kindness. I found my first contact (who had been given a heads up by walkie talkie) and she was awesome. She was so awesome that I just went all in with flowers and forgot the shrubs. She explained zones, planting times, soil, perennials vs annuals, etc. I took notes (seriously). And then she started walking me through the selection. Bates.Has.Everything. They do. Don't ask. Just trust. And a side effect of having everything is fair pricing. They have everything and they have a lot of it so you aren't on the hook to spend a lot due to scarcity. I left the nursery with a bit of an education, plants that mean something to the recipients and continue to adorn yards, money in my pocket for other gifts, and a good feeling from shopping local and supporting a business that's been around for almost 100 years. There are so many cool businesses to discover on Yelp outside of food and drink. Dig in, explore and patronize what makes your metro unique.

This neighborhood of town, Trinity Lane and Dickerson Pike, was so dangerous when I was growing up in Nashville in the 80s, that white people didn't come here after dark and only when heavily armed by day. Now, you can stand on a street corner and watch the kids getting off the school bus and tell things have changed; not only is the population diverse, but increasingly affluent. In fact, new real estate projects are asking, and getting, $150 a square foot and more. Indoor Growers' World occupies the Warner building, an old warehouse that has been completely renovated and now offers commercial offices, retail space, and a unique multi-use environment built out of repurposed shipping containers. In their showroom, Indoor Growers World shows off the latest in hydroponics, aquaponics and traditional growing methods. These used to be terms known primarily to marijuana connoisseurs but are now mainstream among urban growers, local and organic food advocates, and even suburban people like myself who want to grow their own food. The showroom is packed with technology tools to help gardeners and urban farmers grow healthier food faster and easier. The store manager, Matt, is an expert in indoor growing and the tools necessary to maximize the health and yield of produce. Stop by and meet these two friendly guys and check out some of Nashville's coolest retail space.
