I picked up only grocery and they had a good variety and lots of selection in the grocery section. It's more pricey than Delight or Suvidha since it's more about convenience and the drive due to the location. Two counters were opened and the service was decent. I ended up deciding on Chicken 65 and Bryani 65 now I've ordered this before at other establishments and the chicken was always sweet and spicy but here it was neither but don't get me wrong it wasn't bad it was pretty tasty and the same with the rice. The rice had alot of chicken in it almost too much but all in all very tasty the prices were very reasonable especially with how much everything has gone uppppp lately All in all yes I would go back again !! The cafeteria used to be amazing. The woman who worked it was so kind and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The Palak Paneer was delicious. Since then, there's a rather surly man who handles the register for the cafeteria now, the prices have seen a significant jump, the Chicken Tikka Masala is sweeter than it used to be (unnecessarily) and no longer has green pepper pieces, Palak Paneer is no longer on the menu, and the complementary rice portion with your entree has shrunk despite the very big price increase. The grocery store is fine. We pick up certain items like bitter melon where they have a better selection than East Asian supermarkets most of the time. I still like some of the items at the cafeteria, but a friendly person at the register, Palak Paneer back on the menu and a handful of other changes would make this place one of my favorite places to grab lunch again. read more

My order was wrong and when l called to get it fixed the lady who answered the phone was very rude and when l asked for her name she would not give it. So I drove to the restaurant and returned my food. They didn't even try to explain or apologize for the inconvenience. Also this was my first and last time trying this place. It is a fine place for picking up a few quick Indian ingredients. Well stocked for your recipe needs and veggies/herbs are fresh enough. No frills though. I'm a little spoiled by Suvhida (lots of fresh and prepared foods avail along with groceries) and Cherians where I live in Gwinnett. Please avoid their food stall though. I watched in horror as 2 separate customers of Indian descent went to the stall to complain about the quality of their hot snacks, which they returned. The guy working the stall took the uneaten items (pakora, etc) from the brown paper bag from the customers and put them back in the food. This review is only for the new little food area that has been carved out. The food is priced EXTREMELY well for the quantity. So you get 10 Pani Puri's for $5 and not the regular 6/$5. The dosa was HUGE ... about 16 inches long and stuffed with onions (I ordered the Rava onion masala dosa) ... and the chole for the chole bhature were delish and more than enough. Tip: Can't use credit card for purchases less than $5 Just wanted to check out this random grocery store to show my Egyptian friend some Indian items. I'm use to going to Little India in Decatur and going to the big indian grocery stores such as Patel Bros & Cherians. But it had a good selection for the small space. I wouldn't say that they are super nice and kind of upset me that the cashier waited until after he saw my total is about $3 something in drinks to tell me that I need to have more than $5 to use a credit card when my friend and I didn't have cash. I always go here for Indian groceries. This is the first time I came back from there with spoiled yogurt. We live only 10 minutes away from this place. Other than that it is good. Alright, I'm just an Anglo with a taste for Indian food and I can't believe that I haven't been buying my spices at Spices Hut all along, not to mention lentils, rice and various other odds and ends you probably won't find at Publix. Picked up some decent-looking loose tea there, as well. Especially with the spices, the prices here are ridiculously low. I also noticed that the yogurt was insanely cheap, although I couldn't tell you the difference between Indian-style and any other style. Either way, a four-pound tub of yogurt for $2.50 is bonkers. I loaded up an entire basket with spices, nuts and other dried goods and I'll probably be back for more before too long. This is the only place nearby that has some of this stuff, so I'm giving them five stars. Yup, five stars just for being here. read more

Indian grocery stores are an absolute necessity for Indian people!! This place was sort of just starting out when I was begining my move out of Alpharetta. I thought I'd be much happier in Sandy Springs. It turns out- there's no place for Indian people to shop in Sandy Springs- as there are hardly any Indian people over here. So I had to go ALL the way over to North Druid Hills/Lawrenceville Hwy or make the trip here which is more realistic for me. This place is not as big as Taj or Cherians- but it gets the job done. Each time I go back this place is expanding. I'm hoping they'll move into the space next door too. Great selection of fresh veggies commonly used in Indian kitchens- as someone else mentioned much better prices especially on produce and spices. My husband and I don't always have time to cook our favorite foods so we love the selection of frozen Indian snacks and meals. And after the checkout line there's a little cart where an "aunty" makes chaat/indian specialty snacks. I'm not sure of her hours- we went the other day and the guy said she wouldn't be in til 5pm. Very disappointed . Got worms from rice bags bought from this store twice. When I went to the store to inform or exchange the bag , he was very rude and asking me for receipt . They have lost me as a customer. I use to go to this store monthly to stock up on things. A couple weeks ago, I bought a bag of basmati rice (the one with the zebra on the bag). I think it cost around $15.00. This Sunday evening, I opened the bag for the first time....it appeared to be sealed properly. But just as I was about to scoop out some rice, I noticed a live bug flying in the bag. So I had to run to Kroger to get a bag of rice for that night. Today, I politely asked for a refund. I told them I would be willing to take store credit. The lady said she could not give a refund if I did not have a receipt. I asked if she was the owner, and she said the owner was not there. I asked if she was the manager, and she said "yes." I asked her to reconsider, and let her know that if she did not make it right, she would lose me as a customer. She just continued to bag groceries for another customer.....she tried to ignore me. By the way, I noticed one of the reviews below about the frozen food problem. I noticed several months ago, that one of their freezers was not working properly. I almost bought some stuff from the freezer, but I could tell something was wrong because the cardboard package was moist.....luckily I decided not to buy the items. It really amazes me how stores like this can be managed so poorly. I was a good customer. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. This place is huge and spotless. As you step in, you'll be welcomed with a comforting smell. I've been to so many Indian groceries in Atlanta and this is by far my favorite. They have aisles and aisles of every Indian food, goods, and sundries available in America. The frozen section is extensive and includes hard-to-find frozen Indian veggies as well as numerous kinds of ice cream and breads. There's also a fresh vegetable section. Mr Victor at the counter was billing my items and suddenly he was trashing all the left over leaves in the billing counter into my bag. Usually, they have to pack vegetables and groceries in two separate covers. But he stuffed all the groceries and vegetables in one cover and it was really hard to carry that. A GREAT RESOURCE FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Every Indian grocery store has something unique to offer regardless of size. One of my favorites has a vast selection of nuts, the other freshly prepared samosas. This one has Indian desserts that are in a glass case as soon as you walk through the door. Look but don't touch!! If you have never had an Indian dessert, I suggest you really think about it first because these things are like sugar bombs! We received some straight from India and they were off the chart sweet. According to my Indian neighbor, sweets are rare in her part of the county and are only used for special celebrations. They tend to be sweet and rich because they are special treats for special occasions. This store is very small but has a nice selection of the basics such as spices, beans, rice and even some produce. The produce department had limited fruits and vegetables (no zucchini or summer squash), but did have green beans, potatoes, garlic, onions, aubergines, fresh herbs and probably just what you may need to get dinner started. They also have a generous frozen food section as well. This is a great little neighborhood store for grabbing the basics or trying something different. Snacks variety available is also good. The dosa and idli batter is also fresh and due to the crowds, you do not face an issue with old stock of items. Very bad customer service. I had very bad experience at the check out cash counter. He was continuously talking with his colleagues and friends and very lazy at doing the billing . I took me 15 minutes to complete my shopping but it took 30 minutes at cash counter. Pathetic service . Horrible customer service I live 10 miles from this store and ended by shopping here because its close to my kids weekend activity class. Found a "bad" bag of potatoes when I got home that day and took a picture of it. The next weekend I stopped by and showed the person in the counter the picture and the date of purchase and receipt and the response was "Sorry, you should have come back the same day for return. Cant do anything" .... that's Customer Service you will get here I explained to him how far I live and why I shop there. Didn't make sense to drive 20 miles round trip for a $3 bag of potatoes. The spice hut restaurant inside the grocery store has terrible service. I was sitting for 30 mins just for Samosa chaat when I realized no one even put in the order when I paid for it.
