I've been here several times and typically have a good experience.... but the other day wasn't that good... I'm not sure if they had some bad customers or whatever happened earlier that day, but there were 3 employees; a heavy set Asian woman with a mask, a thin white woman and a thin Asian woman. Nobody greeted me when I came in, nobody asked if I needed help. If anything, I was being "watched." Upon checking out, again, was not greeted. I had to say something to her to hear something back. These are definitely some new people than who was here 6 months ago. A little friendlier customer service goes a long way.... It will be a long while before I come back to this location. We came here during the weekday to check out what this market was about. Its a small Japanese neighborhood store. You can find your usual products that you find at any other Asian grocery store here, but I would say that there was more dried goods rather than fresh veggies. They also have a little cafe/restaurant inside the market though, and that's why we came. We ate lunch at the cafe. We ordered and shared a Niku Udon along with a 10 piece of takoyaki. Both were flavorful. I also got a onigiri, but I would say that it was mostly rice and not so much filling. From chilled milk teas and coffee drinks to frozen treats like GINBIS Choco Corn Matcha Latte and sakura mochi ice cream, GOHAN Market carries a wide variety of hard-to-find Japanese snacks and ingredients. You'll find rows of instant noodles (including premium ramen from brands like Marutai and Sapporo Ichiban), sauces and seasonings like furikake and yuzu ponzu, and even Japanese-style curry blocks and rice crackers. Loved this market, didn't realize how close to Roswell it was. While it is not super large, the quality is there for sure. Great items, great prices, and if you like gatcha machines they have a ton. Even if you don't need groceries the hot and cold foods they offer are amazing. Got the karaage for our ride back to Canton and the chicken was juicy and worth the $5 bucks for sure. My wife and I also got some onigiri they sell in the cooler and each of them were simple but the flavor of the fillings were amazing. Wife got the katsu curry for dinner, and have to say, for what you get it is a flavor bomb which I highly recommend. The curry is beyond solid with huge chunks of potato and the katsu is so well done. If you have a chance, come here for sure. They service is amazing, it is so clean, and the ambiance is so calming. They little diner in the back of the store was spectacular and reasonably priced. This place has been on my list for a while to check out the bentos mostly. I arrived after noon sometime, so there was not much left in the way of fruit sandwiches, bentos, or musubis, but it was still fun to check out and try different, new items I've never had before. There was plenty of parking outside and the workers were all very friendly. I'll have to try the hot items you can order at the counter in the back one day, but I stuck to the grocery section for my first trip. I ended up getting the honey ball snacks - a favorite since childhood that you cannot find everywhere. They were gone in less than a week lol. I tried the pork sausages, presumably the same kind you see all over the noodle mukbang videos - like little smokies but porkier (not beef), got some takuan (pickled radish), a fruit sandwich, and tried some mayo flavored ramen. The prices were reasonable and there was a good selection of Japanese snacks and treats - more than some of the more Korean or Vietnamese based grocery stores and with way less people. Only a few others were in the store at the time, making for a quiet and peaceful shopping experience. I loved everything about the store and definitely would return to try more. This is a cute little Japanese convenience store in Peachtree Corners. I would say the "market" section is more of a 3/5 just because the prices are so high you can definitely get better deals at other Asian stores. But the food court area is a 5/5 because the food is so good and decently priced. I love their ramen for $12 and their takoyaki for $6 because it tastes really good and is such a deal. So I would recommend coming here to try the food rather than buying snacks or other pantry items. read more

My friend also got ramen and the chicken karaage.....it was nice and crispy. Also ordered the takoyaki that was very tasty....the karaage and takoyaki were served in containers you can just put a lid on if you don't finish it. Our food came out in a timely manner. One of if not the only Japanese owned and ran market in GA. They have fresh onigiri, sushi, breads like melon pan, and much made daily. They even have a small cafeteria area where they serve authentic Japanese dishes like katsu curry, udon, and ramen to name a few. The market itself isn't the biggest but it's jam packed with some Japanese imported items you can't find at even Assi or H-Mart which is primarily focused on Korean items. This isn't like a real market where you can find items like produce or fresh vegetables but you can find other items like frozen foods or dry goods exclusive to Japan. Can't forget about all the Japanese cold drinks and snacks too. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of Japanese culture and want to get a taste of what a market is like in Japan. The Takatsu White was only $10. That's pretty great pricing for a small location. The takoyaki was $5 and came with 10 pieces. I ended up giving the table next to me half the order since I feel Takoyaki is best served hot/warm. Overall, good price, solid creamy flavor. Drinking the broth I got chunks of fat and tendon which means they break this broth down in house. They maybe have 3-6 tables depending on if they are placed together. You can divide the tables to seat more if you're alone. To order you need to ring the bell, otherwise they will keep cleaning and working on orders. Try to purchase your drink and food in the back before consuming on premises. For larger purchases or lots of small things take it to the front. Once you're done, the store has a large selection of sweets and drinks along with self care items and frozen food items. They also have convenience items found in 7Eleven stores like Onigiri, Pork Cutlet Sandwiches and Egg Salad. They even have fruit sandwiches which tend to go quickly. I went to see this place during a weekday and noticed that the "made to go" platters of food and desserts weren't there. I asked an owner/employee and they mentioned the weekends are best times to come. So I guess I came in on the wrong day oops! I am used to shopping inside of typical larger Asian markets so I felt that the store was tinier than what I imagined and the products are marked a lot higher by 3-4$ than items at other stores. I did not try ordering food yet so this review was solely based on the shopping side. All in all, I think this place is for those who are seeking a sit down Japanese restaurant and a marketplace to grab a couple of things on their way out. This is a hidden gem in Atlanta. I stumbled upon this place while exploring in town. It is located in a plaza and there is plenty of parking. But if you don't keep your eye out for it you will definitely miss it. There is a little café in there with ramen and also to go foods in the fridge. I thoroughly enjoyed the cold katsu sandwiches but the onigiri were ok. Everything is well priced. The claw machines in front of the place were quite enticing and I did win one item. The staff there are super friendly and always warmly greeted me when I visited while I was in town. All the items in the store were very organized but there was a limited amount of things and there was a lack of variety. There is mostly Japanese goods there. (Hence no heath score) At best, an annual walk thru by a retail inspector. The food was ok- portions small, price did not reflect. The pork belly was subpar with gristle and non chewable parts. The shrimp were 31/40 size at best. Zero service, nice people, but after spending $60 on lunch for three, you might think one of three employees we passed exiting might say SOMETHING. "Thanks" would have been a great start. Plenty of options much closer to us that offer greater complexity, twice the portion, and far less $. Hard pass for us. read more

This is a small Japanese grocery store with a order at the counter restaurant in the back. My friend and I met up here to check out their selection of masubi and sushi. We stocked up on various types of spam masubi and onigiri and also got a sushi combo to split. We also ordered takoyaki and ramen to share from the counter. There are just a few tables in the back to eat. The chef knew that we wanted to share the ramen so gave us an extra bowl. The broth for the ramen was out of this world! So creamy and flavorful and it was a steal. I think it was only around $10 and the quality was insane. The takoyaki was good and the sushi looked better than it was, just alright.
