This is a review for dining in at the restaurant. The food is still good and the service is nice. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor of the Chinese restaurant. It is a bit nicer than the mom and pop places around the area. It has a nice vibe for a date night or just dinner with the family. The dinner portions are a good size. I preferred the hunan chicken over the general tso chicken. The general tsos flavor was good but more breading than I personally like. I liked their hot and sour soup too! Would order it again.

This place has a great selection. Everything I have had has been good and you get good portions. Service is awesome, fast and friendly.

The food here didn't taste as authentic as I'd hoped. There was some dishes that sounded familiar but the seasonings tasted slightly different from what they normally taste like. The beef soup wasn't what I had in mind at all. I hope to give it a try at a later time- but this didn't hit the spot at all. XO sauce is a seafood sauce that is oftentimes mixed with dried scallops, or shrimp and chili oil- whereas this tasted more like crab boil seasoning

This was easily one of the top 5 Chinese restaurants we've been to. We were craving Chinese food and found this place on Yelp and decided to dine in. We were surprised at how beautiful it was inside. The owner came by and was very attentive and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious! Will definitely be back not only to dine in, but takeout too!

We were hungry after our workout today and we decided that we wanted to try out this place, we always shop at the HEB next door to this restaurant so we decided on Chinese food. Their lunch menu was extensive with many options to choose from, they had chicken, beef, shrimp, pork and vegan lunch specials. Nice thing is they actually serve lunch specials even on a Saturday from 11-4pm Monday through Saturday!! Lunch special is served with your choice of soup ( hot sour soup, wonton or egg drop) rice (brown, white or fried) and main dish. Price ranged from $10 - 12.00 Which is very reasonable. The service was excellent and the ambiance and atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. Very Asian influenced and stunning surroundings. If you like good Asian fare in the NW Cypress/Houston area then please stop by Spicy Chen Asian Bistro!

Been coming here for take out for 2 years now and there are some off days in food but over all for the location they are my go to if I need fast Chinese food. Sharing the 2024 menu as every time I want to order I only see the old menu posted.

Menu, business cards, hand sanitizer, swipe machine and maneki-neko standing by.

The food was ok at best. Service was ok as well, expected a little more for the way the outside looked.

Overall, it was a good experience with a few standout items and a couple areas that could be improved. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and steamed shrimp dumplings. The shrimp with lobster sauce was definitely the highlight...very flavorful, generous portion of shrimp, and I really enjoyed the texture from the egg whites. I could have done without the imitation lobster, but it didn't take away too much from the dish. The steamed shrimp dumplings were just okay. Not bad by any means, but they didn't stand out compared to others I've had. The fried rice was tasty, though I did miss having the traditional vegetables mixed in. Service is where there's some room for improvement. I was the only dine-in customer at the time, and my water was never refilled during the visit. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would come back to try more dishes. With a few small tweaks, this place could easily become a go-to spot.

Not me, that's for sure, but after a long day this proved to be an incredibly welcome dinner! The soup dumplings were plump and savory. The Kung pao Brussels sprouts slightly sweet and sour, and the spicy, crispy, chicken...well it'll numb your mouth, and it will be worth it. Somehow they've found the sweet spot (not literally) by creating that classic Sichuan tongue numbing spice, without creating a spicy dish per se. Apart from the numbness, the dish reads more savory than anything else. I do wish the dumplings came with either dumpling sauce, chili crunch or both, and that the crispy spicy chicken came with something to coat the rice (it's a bit dry with steamed rice alone), but all and all, I enjoyed everything I ordered and will certainly be returning for the full dine-in experience.

This is my newest go to!!! We got the Cream Cheese Crab Puffs, Chicken Eggrolls, Wanton Soup, Fried rice, Orange Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein. Crab Puffs: Great portion. Sauce was so good. I didn't like the amount of cream cheese. Too much, not enough crab. Texture was great! 6/10 Chicken Eggrolls: very vegetable stuffed but in the best way. So crispy and delicious. 8/10 Wanton Soup: Arrived hot and savory. SO flavorful and delicious. 10/10 Orange Chicken: I ordered it hot & spicy! GREAT flavor, nice sized pieces, lots of sauce. 10/10 Fried Rice: Slightly above average. 8/10 Chicken Lo Mein: 7/10 Overall I got very few pics because from the time I took my first bite I couldn't stop!

Unfortunately this time it wasn't great. First off, the fried wantons they bring to the table were stale and tasted like they'd been fried in old oil. I like places that bring free stuff but don't bring something if it isn't good. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and get hot and sour soup. It was a good spice/hot but Not sure about the sour. It seemed to just be hot. For my entree I had Shrimp with Garlic sauce and white rice,. The veggies were crunchy and fresh. The shrimp was good but they didn't have that crisp snap in the bite. The sauce was sweet and garlicky. The cheese puff was very creamy, batter was okay not the best. It's just not my style. My wife had the wan ton soup. It had a good tasty broth and the wanton had a good thick wrap with a nice flavor. She didn't like her Orange Chicken. I tasted it and the chicken was okay, but the sauce was too dark and heavy. I just like my orange chicken lighter and with more orange- y- ness? She got fried rice and I thought it wasn't flavorful enough. It tasted like white rice that was coated with soy sauce and not fried enough. My daughter had a bowl of Egg Drop soup. It was very thick and eggy. The corn was a surprising addition. It was okay but would have benefited from some chili oil, which wasn't provided and we didn't ask for. Overall, the entire experience was disappointing. The service was good but the food was mediocre, the restaurant was kind of warm bordering on hot and the table felt sticky. Don't think I'll be back and that's a sad thing. I'll have to find another spot for Chinese food in the area.
