I rarely leave one star reviews, but this experience honestly left me beyond disappointed. I have been going to Spiffy Car Wash in Commack for quite some time and it used to be reliable and worth the money. Ever since the new owners took over and rebranded the place, it has gone downhill significantly. From the moment you pull up to the entrance, the whole vibe has changed and not for the better. Instead of a friendly greeting and straightforward service, you are immediately met with aggressive upselling. It feels less like customer service and more like a sales pitch before you have even had a chance to explain what you want. I understand businesses need to make money, but there is a difference between offering upgrades and making customers feel pressured. The biggest issue, however, is the quality of the wash itself. It is simply awful. My car came out with visible soap residue still on the doors and around the mirrors. The rinse cycle clearly did not do its job because there were streaks everywhere. The lower panels were still dirty as if they had barely been touched. For something that is supposed to be a professional car wash, it looked like I had done a rushed job at home with a garden hose. I actually had to wipe parts of the car down myself afterward just to get the soap off. That completely defeats the purpose of paying for a wash in the first place. It is frustrating to spend your hard earned money and drive away with a car that still looks unclean. The overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. The quality has dropped, the customer experience has changed, and the value just is not there anymore. It is sad to see what used to be a dependable local spot take such a sharp turn in the wrong direction. I truly hope management takes a hard look at what is happening because right now I cannot recommend it to anyone. read more

I signed up for a monthly membership here, thinking it would be convenient and cost-effective, especially since I drive for a living and need to keep my vehicle clean--rain or shine. What they don't tell you is that the entire facility shuts down completely when it rains. That includes the vacuums, which were the main reason I got the membership in the first place. To make things worse, when I approached an elderly attendant to ask questions about the membership and clarify the policy, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked for his name so I could speak to management, he refused, started video recording me, and even threatened to call 911. Over asking for his name? Ridiculous. I came to get my car cleaned--not to be harassed or treated like a criminal. This experience was unnecessarily stressful and completely out of line. I will be seeking a refund. There are plenty of car washes out there--no reason to put up with this kind of behavior. read more

I have used this place for years because it's the closest one but it's horrible. The guy that sprays and does the pre wash is always on the phone and doesn't rinse the entire vehicle. The soap doesn't get applied before the vehicle enters the wash. It always stops and has to get restarted while I'm in there. My vehicle always has a ton of soap on it when it comes out. The guys and gal at the tunnel are great. The equipment in the tunnel sucks. Paid for Lava....no lava. Paid for triple foam...NOT triple it's a watered down version of something but not foam. Windscreen additive supplemt flashes....no supplement. Lastly tire shine sign blinks.....no liquid comes out....no shiny tires. I bring all 5 cars I own and they have finally lost me! TOTALLY!!!!!! Manager says tire shine machine to be fixed next week......that was 3 months ago. Since 11/19/2025 I have called management. As of this review......still no return call from Elizabeth 631-871-6525. I was very open-minded about giving them a try since they renovated but if you pay close attention as your car goes through the car wash the soap doesn't get applied until it almost hits the windshield and the triple foam is anything but triple. It's awarded down version that barely adheres to the car and again starts late and starts basically when it's at the windshield so nothing on the hood of the car. I complained about it and the guy told me to tell the attended to make sure the stuff starts early. But is that something that I should be doing? Sorry it's a dirty dingy place. Came here because it was close to the house, unfortunately I didn't read the reviews beforehand. I paid for the most expensive wash which included extra cleaning for the wheels, unfortunately my wheels were just as dirty after the was as they were before I wasted $18. The car was also left soaking wet after the wash. Essentially I paid $18 to spray my car down with a hose. Went to the vacuum area and the last stall on the right was missing all of the spray bottles, went across to grab some rags and use some cleaning solution and was yelled at by an attendant who was on a phone call, I told her there ware no supplies on the other side, but she kept yelling at me to go to the other side without hanging up the phone (a multi tasker in the worst way I guess). Overall, I could have done an equally as horrible job at my home for free. read more

I purchased extreme plus service, ending up spending one hour cleaning the car all by myself. All they do is soap and wet your car, they provided vaccum, detergents, wiping towel. When i asked the difference between extreme plus and super plus, they said wax your tire wheel by yourself. Save some money, No difference than cleaning your car on your driveways. i came to fill up my car and get a car wash since my car was under a fruit tree and built up some yucky stuff. The most expensive exterior wash and all the fruit sticky stains are still on it, the guy barely tried to use the water sprayer to get them off. Then i found out the gas deal isn't for the car wash either so I really got nothing out of coming here except a waste of my money. I complained to the guys working and saw the owner taking cash from their register where people go to pump their gas and he immediately got in his car and drove away when he heard me complaining. read more

Worst car wash ever!!! Saw a big scratch in the front of my car. Don't have any memories of bumping into anything. Politely Ask the "manager" to see if I can check the camera. He straight out told me he can't see it. Come back on Monday to speak to the boss. And the scratch is not from them. I once again politely told him that "it's okay, I just wanna see the camera" he then left without saying anything. Few minutes later, he came with a bottle of white paint (????my car is white) and straight up told me "you see any other car have problems! We don't have problem it's your problem!" Garbage of an establishment. Paid $43 for full service inside and outside wash. Went through the wash which barely cleaned, watered or dried the car. The belligerent 'manager' was swinging around a knife like a thug. I asked him why the actual car wash didn't wash the car, he said I'd have to pay for detailing and they would spend all day. This is by far the wprst car wash I ever been to and as you can see from photos these "amazing" results. Trucks not even fully clean, rims are not even touched, and scratches made by the washing equipment. All the manager had to say when I explained to him about these issues was, and I quote " I completely understand sir." and then walked away to help the next customer. Worst Car wash ever ! Paid for the deluxe wash which sign says includes free customer vacuum. At end of car wash when you go to use the customer vacuum, they don't work. Spoke to the owner and he asks me to show him where it says that, I show him the 3 signs as well as the electronic menu, he says oh thats for the next wash?? I was told that EVERY month you pay, you get one free. They lied! You buy the first month, the second one is free, then every month after that you pay full price. I didn't get my receipt for 3 weeks, although my credit card was charged the day after the purchase, so when my scanner tag didn't work, they wouldn't let me through the car wash without a receipt! Finally when they found the receipt (on the 4th visit) I went through the car wash and soap was all over the car. I was instructed to speak to the gas attendant to cancel my membership, who instructed me to call the number on the receipt they finally gave me. I've called 4 times and received no call back, but a text saying that my account was cancelled. I called my credit card company to ensure that no further charges be put on my account. Wash & Go. These guys do a better than average job on washing the car and getting all the nastiness out. The outside is always gleaming but they really do a nice job with the interior. After the wash, they pull it around to the side where they take a bit longer than the average car wash to get inside and do their cleaning. As the guys do their thing, you can sit on the nice patio, complete with picnic tables and umbrellas and contemplate the upcoming day. Nice bonus: they have a $6.99 exterior wash m-thurs early in the morning so you can wash the grime off before heading to work - try it - you'll make your coworkers envious of your hot looking ride! So I paid for the deluxe wash $14 plus a 5 dollar upgrade for Vision Clear and never got it. I was supposed to get the undercarriage bath but never heard a sprayer turn on. On top of that the Dry N Shine machine never turned on to clean up the top of my car and sides so I drove off wet. Had to go to Personal Touch of Elwood to get this mess cleaned up. Never again will I wash here. If the owner reads this review he needs to order more tire shine since my car never had any on it. When I came out my lower panel was also still dirty. This place has 2.1 stars on Google there's a reason for that hope the owner realizes what is going on with his car wash. read more

Used the unlimited monthly pass. It's cheap, that's why 2 stars. The car wash is lousy, rims are very dirty after and the car is very poorly dried. It's my just get the dirt off car wash. Unfortunately the machine left a giant patch of buffer wheel scratches on my passenger side. Like the front bumper to the back door that's the exact spot where the first was spinning washer is. I am absolutely shocked on how great the exterior wash is. I would never of expected this exceptional service of a car wash from a drive-through that is so inexpensive! I don't think Eager Beaver on 347 in Port Jeff dresses the tires. I did the "$20 a month unlimited car washes", which is probably the best deal. It washes the undercarriage, wheels, dresses the tires with a gel (to give it the wet, dark, black glossy look), the soap doesn't interfere with the wax that is already on my car. Though I am canceling the monthly membership since I usually like to wash my car myself, I am definitely getting the monthly membership again for the winter. Next time I get my car washed again, I'll definitely take pictures to show how my car looks right after the drive-through wash. Once again, this is for the monthly drive through washes, I've never gotten the full service that does the inside. So from 8am-9pm you can wash your car as many times as you want. Well worth it in my opinion. Try it out, take my word for it. It's only $20!!! read more

Had a great car wash at Mr. Spiffy's! Got the best wash they offer and my car looks brand new! The automated tunnel has a the right amount of pressure to actually get your car clean. Interior was cleaned to perfection by a thorough attendant that i saw through a waiting room in the warm! Will be back with my wife's car soon! read more

Please DO NOT under any circumstances give this place your money... typically they park your car for you but this time they waved me over to a spot and I put the car key in the cup holder in case they needed to move it. After they cleaned my car and I go back in the car no key!!! After 25 minutes of searching and me sifting through the entire dusty gross vacuum myself still no key! Finally I asked for a manager and the man who runs the gas station came over. I asked politely for a refund cause honestly that's the least they could do for loosing my car key, which will cost me hundreds to replace and plus now I need a ride home, is give me a $30 refund for the wash. The man who runs the gas station blamed ME for my car key being gone and wouldn't do anything to help! He told me never to come back again (not that I was going to anyway). So completely rude. Finally the guys searched one last time for my key only after my altercation with "the boss" and found it underneath the carpet of the back seat. "The boss" blamed me once again even after they found it under there and told me to "be careful". I said are you threatening me!? He said "no just be careful if you do this in any other business". Very threatening. Moral of the story they took zero accountability, lost 30 minutes of my life, didn't give me a refund and screamed at me the customer. Don't give them a DIME. read more

Went through the car wash for the first tIme yesterday....at the beginning the guy uses a brush to get some spots the interior may not reach....came out and the entire back hatch and bumper were untouched. Dude with the brush needs to hit up the back of cars as I noticed the smaller car I in front of me was still very dirty. Wasn't just my car. Paying 20 bucks he should be doing the back with the brush completely. They did use plastic on my tear wiper which was cool though. read more

Should have listened to yelp. Stopped by here while driving by today given the warm weather and boy was it a waste of time. They only have three people doing interiors and waited about an hour to get my car cleaned. He spent about 7 minutes cleaning the car and when they said they're done I looked inside and the dash had not been wiped, the floor mats were still dirty, car was not vacuumed. I complained to Indian man pumping gas and he offered to help clean or come back tomorrow? But I had to leave. It was a huge waste of time and $32. I could have cleaned better myself. I'd give this place zero stars if I could! I went there about a month age, not long after the place changed ownership again for at least the third time in as many years. It was a nice day, and so not surprisingly it was busy. They were pushing cars through the wash section so quickly that there weren't enough employees on the other end to dry them off, so they just left a bunch of cars (including mine) sitting in the sun! I pointed this out to the manager, and he just said they were doing "the best they can". In my book, that's just not good enough, and I have a silver car. I really would have been incensed if I had a black one! After they finally got around to finishing mine, I tipped the attendant, and went on my way. I had to stop for gas down the road a bit, and I noticed that the wheels were still filthy, so I turned around and went back. they cleaned the wheels hastily, but at least it was better than it was. I was so mad that I wrote a letter to the owner of the place saying that on busy days they should either slow the wash line down, or hire more help to dry them off to keep people's cars from water-spotting out in the sun. I never heard a word back from him, which tells me how much they value my business. This place used to be just fine under previous owners. Now I take my business elsewhere. read more

How this place is in business is unbelievable, $32 for a full service car wash, the gate closed on my truck scratching the tailgate, I advise the first guy who is hosing off the car what happened he says that never happened before then offered no solution to fixing the scratches, I tell him well it just happened so can somebody fix it or as a manager here?, he said his boss is not here, they send me to where the car gets dried and they do a half assed job removing half the scratches but that job was much better than the job they did removing the bird poop and mud from the car, I told him the car was filthy still and he said it wasn't his problem that the car wash didn't remove all the dirt.
