The barista made a great recommendation to keep me close to a SBucks white chocolate mocha and he even convinced me to get it iced, which I loved. Now the taller seats are not super comfortable in my opinion and especially not if you have a little extra back there - which I do. But there are other seating options too. Super cute spot! Loved the high ceilings and big windows. Made the corner space feel roomy and open. I ended up claiming a corner spot on a large brown leather sofa. Where I curled up and read, watched movies and blogged for about 3hrs. The girl behind the counter was super helpful. They don't have really anything snack wise for someone that is gluten & dairy free. But they do have almond and oat milk. I got a hot chai latte with oat milk to start and later on an iced latte with oat milk and simple syrup. The WiFi is easy to connect too and the restrooms are clean. There were a lot of students earlier in the day scattered around at different tables studying. And after around lunch larger groups of people came in to hang out. read more

Let's start with the coffee, which is not the best or the worst I've had and I am an avid coffee drinker. The atmosphere of the place is awesome and I love working there on my computer. Every chance I get, having said that it seems like every time I decide to go to work on my computer in the morning Seems like they decide to be closed that day, very random. Their hours are very inconsistent, which makes it hard to plan to go there. only to show up and be disappointed. Management needs to figure out if they want to stay consistent or inconsistent because sooner or later they will be out of business in my opinion. read more

Usually, I order the chai or the dirty chai and I have no complaints, but this past week I ordered a matcha and something was just a bit off about it. Not sure how the matcha is made, but it almost tasted fishy...? Really strange. I recommend less creamer, and maybe use matcha latte power (already sweetened) instead of plain matcha powder? However, there are only wall plug ins here and there so if you're going to study you have to hunt one down. When you make a purchase the WiFi password is at the bottom of the receipt. It's always clean, the staff are always patient, friendly and accommodating. The coffee is always fresh, the lattes and espresso always are great and gives just the perk me up I need. The ice cream is the best wasted calories ever. It's an eclectic vibe, customer base range from students, professionals, locals and tourist.... young and old. Although downtown, parking is not a problem ( there is parking in the front, side and the back). The hot fudge, banana sundae is delightful and the heath and caramel ice cream cone (homemade waffle cone) is amazing. They mix the toppings into the ice cream! Cute little downtown Spartanburg coffee shop. There are seats and couches available but be prepared for there to be a lot of people inside. Been in there a few times and there's usually a good amount of students studying no matter the time of day. They provide great options for coffee drinkers. My personal favorite is the ice cream from the shop. They allow you to mix whatever you want so you can create whatever your heart desires. It's always very clean inside and the staff is super nice. I'm visiting from out of town and wow the aesthetic of this coffee shop blew me away. I love the minimalism and industrial vibe of Spill the Beans! I can also imagine myself studying here because the noise level is minimal. I might have ordered something not so popular because I was not really impressed with their coffee. I believe they use Dillanos coffee? Amazing stuff. I usually get a hot or iced latte or the amazing chocolate espresso latte. However they have other delicious items like ice cream and flavors that I'm sure are amazing. Looks like the kind of place you could post up all day with a book and enjoy some tasty food and coffee. But then you learn that there's like 4 muffins only for food and then the coffee is pretty meh and suddenly it's maybe a place to walk by and say hey that's a cool space maybe I'll stop back in next August sometime. Wonderful location that is downtown and in walking distance to so many things. I love how they have a huge garage door that can be lifted on warmer days and bring the outdoors inside. It makes long work/study sessions so much nicer. The coffee is good and a good price, but the atmosphere is truly what makes me come back each time. I haven't gotten ice cream or the shakes, but from what I can tell people love them. If you're coming to work, they have plenty of seating options and outlets with USB ports all over. read more

Spill the beans needs to hire more baristas. The last two days I've been they've had one person running the entire store, and today it was during lunch rush. It is unacceptable to expect one person to run the register and do multiple coffee orders. I was getting stressed out watching her. If the store is understaffed management needs to lend a hand until there are new hires. The young person did the best they could on my order but both drinks were sub par compared to what a 6 dollar coffee drink should taste like and this is NOT the fault of the barista because they are simply juggling too many things. I will not be supporting this place and I will be telling my other friends who work in the service industry of this mistreatment as well. Treat your employees better. read more
