Daniel the owner is always responsive to our requests and gets back quotes in a timely manner. Daniel and his crew are very detailed oriented and continued to clean up behind themselves making it easier on us while home. They are very efficient and kept to their timeline given when we asked for our quote. We have now had them paint the complete interior of our home and couldn't be happier. All floor mold trim, edges and the ceiling lines are cut in perfect. The entire house was given two full coats that were hand applied via a brush and roller. This was a deciding factor in wanting good coverage and not wanting to have a paint sprayer in our home. We have had such great success with Vision Painting and Daniel that we are using the company again for our exterior of our home when their schedule allows. Built in 1942, our house had been painted many times, but not for quite a while. It was bubbling, peeling, cracking and just looked terrible. And as with most homes built during that era, the old paint contained lead. It turns out these complicating factors were no problem for the Healthy Painting team. While Healthy Painting's estimate was not the cheapest we received, we could not be happier with the work they did and the experience we had working with them. It was quite obvious during the process that Darryl (owner) and Tom (project manager) are passionate about doing a great job and doing it to the customer's satisfaction. I contacted him and he cane out and gave me a verbal quote. I agreed and told him I was having floors replaced so I would need to have that completed first. He said if He did that part he could give me a price break, unfortunately his price was higher than the flooring company that I was using. So we set the date for after the floors were completed. Along the way i reached out regarding trim work and replacing doors to which he rarely answered the phone and preferred text. I would ask when he could start and his responses were hit and miss. Finally when we set a date, I reached out the day before and asked about items I was purchasing, and then asked him to send a final invoice (which he did not seem to want to provide) and when i gave him all the prices we discussed he mentioned an additional $500 or so for the paint. Now keep in mind when we initially discussed this project he said the price would only increase if I chose a color other than white. And he was giving me the price because it was because he would use the same color and sheen for the walls and baseboard. He decided in the end that he wanted more money and since he does not provide written estimates without repeatedly asking, he was able to change his price. Being that tine was running out I asked if he would honor his price and told him to cancel one item on the list because this was going to put me over budget. I asked if he would honor his original price, and from there he stopped responding. The next morning I called to see what the plans were since I had to schedule time off to have someone there for them, he did not respond to texts or my last call. In the end, I am fortunate I was able to experience this before the project started since it could've become very stressful. I do not recommend any company that does not provide written quotes and will change prices on a whim. Not to mention one that stops responding to a client that they've scheduled a job with.

However, during the paint job, it ended up costing us more than some of the other quotes that we received. I would have been still fine with this, only if the finished job was up to the standards that was promised to us. Unfortunately it was not. During the inspection, John agreed that part of the exterior trim near a tree needed to be fixed properly (he even mentioned bringing a ladder to reach it). That repair was never completed, and the very first rain after the job caused new water damage inside my home -- the exact problem we were trying to prevent. I trusted that the repair followed by the paint job was done properly, but as you can see from the pictures this was not the case. When I raised the issue, John insisted the work was done as scoped, rather than acknowledging that the problem area had been overlooked. His email response was more focused on defending the paperwork than on taking responsibility or offering a meaningful fix. I paid in full (in fact, more than the initial quote, effectively higher than what I would have paid if I had hired some of the other contractors) but ended up getting a lower quality job. Despite trusting that the work had been done properly. It's disappointing to discover that wasn't the case and now I have to go through the additional hassle of not only fixing the exterior but also the new damages caused to the interior. Based on this experience, I would not hire John again or recommend Pecks Property Pro LLC for repair or painting work. Attention to detail and accountability were clearly lacking.
