Yes, it would be nice if the roller rink was open. I love roller skating but it does not let you know when it is due to open for business

One downside was with the skating helpers/walkers. Some people in our party needed them, but they were confined to a corner of the rink, which led a few of us to opt out. It would be much better if skaters were allowed to roam the rink freely with the helpers. Aside from that, it's a solid place to skate, especially for families, and with a little more flexibility on the helpers it would be even better.

They also have car charging stations. Lobby: Walk into the berger iceplex using the automated doors, check in with the staff and get directed to a locker room. Snacks and drinks available there as well. Lockers: fits a team comfortably, each locker room has their own showers. Ice: once the zamboni guy closes the doors, time to get out on the ice. Glass, boards and benches still shining and new. Cleanliness: locker rooms and bathrooms constantly cleaned by staff many times PER day. Summary: Berger Iceplex arena is 5 years old and still has that clean new vibe. The staff look to enjoy working there and the place is very well run! We've even played a game on the main AHL ice. Kudos to the management running the rinks, just a first class operation. I've skated at tons of ice rinks and this place is the best!

While there is an option to purchase tickets there, it's better to pre-pay and fill out the waiver online. Actually, the waiver didn't matter as they gave us our wristbands and ushered us through. The number of walk-ins is limited and sells out fast. We got the 8pm time slot for 1.5 hours, which is ample time to skate. However, so many people had the little push seats to balance with and zip around that they were causing skaters to fall. I got hit from behind and pulled down onto a kid's skate. Yes, part of the nature of the venue but it would have been easier to navigate with less people on the ice. Funniest parts of the evening were, when my friend was filling out my waiver, she asked me if I wanted a helmet and I gave her a look... "what?! A helmet!! No!" When I fell, she was behind me and deadpanned, "shoulda got the helmet". I might go again if friends want to go, but I'd rather go to a roller rink or actual ice rink instead. Pros: - cute date idea - long sessions Cons: - kids mess around way too much - adults messing around with the ride-on toys - too crowded

I kept hearing about this place through word of mouth and just had to check it out myself. It's a fun place to skate and the workers are so helpful with any questions or even when I fell! They made sure to come right up and ask if everything was okay. I cannot recommend this place enough. There is music and the skates come included with the ticket price so that's great!

I never learned to skate as a child. I went to Skateworld with friends about seven years ago, but…read morenever continued to practice. Recently, two of my friends found out that I wanted to learn, so we all went out on a Sunday evening. Sundays, Skateworld closes at 8:30. We arrived at 6:30 which gave us plenty of time. Open skate and skate rental costs $25 per person. It felt a bit steep to me, but I realize that they don't make money on much else so it's really not bad. They offer lockers at a price. There is free filtered water. It was a bit odd when my friends brought me a gift bag with knee pads, that they said no gift bags of any kind were allowed. It seemed odd as I thought children had roller skating birthday parties at places like this. At least they let us take out the knee pads and carry in the empty bag. Anyway, the space wasn't too crowded on Sunday, so it was easy to practice. I also rented one of those little wheeled walkers so I didn't fall all over the place. I was a bit bummed to learn that they didn't offer lessons, outside of their monthly "academy". I would have loved to drop in for a single session. All in all, it was a pretty good time. I would return to skate again.

Yes, they play the music quietly and the lights are kept on, but there's so many screaming children with Skate Mates going in all directions that it gets overwhelming. I know they have a similar lunch skate times that are adult only at 10am-noon, but that's during the work day.
