Booked my daughters birthday here since she loves skating, The ladies at the entrance greeted us they were super friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to our party of 40+ people. Everyone had a great time . 100% recommended.

Decided to meet my family half way to asking rink and this one popped up, I wish I would of looked into the facility more prior to driving 25 miles when CalSkate is roughly 15 miles from me. Your charged for 2 hours of skating from 6-8 yet the doors didn't open until after 6:05. If you're going to run an establishment where you need to put on your skates and get situated prior to skiing, you would think you would open at least 10 minutes prior. Everything is extremely outdated, not only is it extremely hot in here they also do not offer bars for kiddos or beginners. the wheels on the skates black and filled with gunk so it makes it extremely hard to roll , we had to change three times .I wouldn't expect to pay more than $10 to enter this facility since all of the higher quality facilities charged the same price as here. For 80 bucks I would've just driven all the way to meet my family members at the epic roller rink. Please do your research before coming here. For the most part, it is clean and you are allowed to bring your own water. I would say those are the only pros. Not to mention, you can hear the people at the bar through the double doors as you're skating. Terrible. Do not waste your money here you'll leave with a sore throat and disappointment. Owner did credit us 40 bucks in return for leaving.

One downside was with the skating helpers/walkers. Some people in our party needed them, but they were confined to a corner of the rink, which led a few of us to opt out. It would be much better if skaters were allowed to roam the rink freely with the helpers. Aside from that, it's a solid place to skate, especially for families, and with a little more flexibility on the helpers it would be even better.

They also have car charging stations. Lobby: Walk into the berger iceplex using the automated doors, check in with the staff and get directed to a locker room. Snacks and drinks available there as well. Lockers: fits a team comfortably, each locker room has their own showers. Ice: once the zamboni guy closes the doors, time to get out on the ice. Glass, boards and benches still shining and new. Cleanliness: locker rooms and bathrooms constantly cleaned by staff many times PER day. Summary: Berger Iceplex arena is 5 years old and still has that clean new vibe. The staff look to enjoy working there and the place is very well run! We've even played a game on the main AHL ice. Kudos to the management running the rinks, just a first class operation. I've skated at tons of ice rinks and this place is the best!

While there is an option to purchase tickets there, it's better to pre-pay and fill out the waiver online. Actually, the waiver didn't matter as they gave us our wristbands and ushered us through. The number of walk-ins is limited and sells out fast. We got the 8pm time slot for 1.5 hours, which is ample time to skate. However, so many people had the little push seats to balance with and zip around that they were causing skaters to fall. I got hit from behind and pulled down onto a kid's skate. Yes, part of the nature of the venue but it would have been easier to navigate with less people on the ice. Funniest parts of the evening were, when my friend was filling out my waiver, she asked me if I wanted a helmet and I gave her a look... "what?! A helmet!! No!" When I fell, she was behind me and deadpanned, "shoulda got the helmet". I might go again if friends want to go, but I'd rather go to a roller rink or actual ice rink instead. Pros: - cute date idea - long sessions Cons: - kids mess around way too much - adults messing around with the ride-on toys - too crowded

I kept hearing about this place through word of mouth and just had to check it out myself. It's a fun place to skate and the workers are so helpful with any questions or even when I fell! We were supposed to go in at 3:30, we did not go in until 3:45 according to staff it was due to the previous party taking long to leave... we were the second ones to arrive but our party was the the last one to get seated and that's only because my sister asked one of the girls. Once in there everything was fine until they brought the pizza. The pizza was cold! We were never told the do not make the pizza there! The package we got came with 4 pizzas and we were told on the phone that if we needed more we could just let them know the day of but it would take a little longer. Once the pizza arrived besides being cold we realized it was from little Caesars. I don't mind the pizza being from there BUT at least make sure it's hot! The young lady who was helping us with the pizza and drinks would just take things without asking. When it was time to clean she didn't ask if people were done, she just started taking off the plastic table cover with everything still on the table and rolling it getting ready to throw everything away until we told her that there was personal stuff on there! That's just rude! You ask if people are done not just assume everything on the table is trash. Then she took the pitchers with soda without letting anyone know and people were still drinking specially when they were done skating. When it was time the security starts staring you down by your table and starts saying you need to hurry up and get all your things, my husband told him oh you guys want us to hurry but didn't mind letting us in late well now we're going to take our time. Overall this place needs a lot of improvement when it comes to organizing parties. Train your employees to always ask the people on their tables if they are done with something before throwing it away or taking it away. Sell little Caesar's pizza double/triple the price but at least make sure it's hot before serving it!

When we first walked up there were a lot of empty booze cans in the parking lot near the entrance, so not a great first impression. As we walked in, there were two young women to check us in for the party. They seemed kind of confused when we gave them our names, and then told us we could just go ahead in. They weren't very friendly or helpful. Once inside, we were able to easily find the area they had reserved for the party. It was decorated and had a host to help with the kids. Unfortunately the host didn't really seem on top of things. A couple of times during the party things ran out (cups/soda/water) and she was nowhere to be found. I waited in line at the snack bar to get some assistance, and then told they would find the host to come help us. You can bring in your own skates or rollerblades, or they have skate rentals there. There are no rollerblades available to rent tho, only regular skates. I was disappointed when I found this out there, since I only rollerblade and didn't bring my own pair with me. The facility is cash free, but there are lockers and arcade games that require cash/coins. There is a change machine available for their use. I think the lockers were $1.25, and they're one time use - so every time you open them you need to pay again. There was a DJ playing some good music for us older adults. Overall all, it was okay. The kids had fun, and the adults got to hang for a bit.

This is my second year in a row skating during the holiday season and I've had the best time here. There's a reason there's a lot of skaters that get season passes for this rink (and do so every year) When it rained, they worked overtime to get the ice ready for the public and open back up as soon as possible. I've seen some false reviews from (Gigi) who wasn't even there at that day who is leaving the review for another figure skater that was skating unsafe. Instead of taking accountability, they are leaving negative reviews saying they were yelled at by management when I was there and the only yelling was coming from the girls making up the complaint. Just wanted to clear that up because it's unfair of people to leave fake negative reviews when they weren't even there to begin with. The skate-guards, management. Literally everyone that works here has been so uplifting and crucial to my growth as a figure skater. Thank you for giving me the confidence to skate in front of a bunch of strangers and making every skating season here magical!!

They also usually host "Sunday Roll-Outs" every Sunday morning down at the Oceanside Strand, meeting up under the pier, near and/or at the amphitheater, from around 10am - 2pm. Then, at some point during that time, they all roller skate together down the entire south end of the Strand, which is seriously EPIC! That's also advertised on their Instagram page, so double check that before heading out. They always play great music and everyone is so welcoming even to the newest skaters.
