Ambiance (4/5): Nice-looking restaurant. And a spacious one at that. Once you walk in, there's a wine tasting area. Pass through that, and you'll see a bar area on the right and a sit-down area straight ahead. We ended up sitting at the bar. There were only two seats available, at the end of the bar, where the seating was much lower than the rest of the bar. A bit of an awkward set-up, but I'll take that any day of the week over waiting. Service (2.5/5): The restaurant was packed on a Friday evening. The wait time was an hour and a half which is pretty wild. Luckily, we found the last two seats at the bar. Service was about average. Not terribly friendly, not terribly efficient, but not bad either. They were out of the entree I wanted which was a bit of a bummer. Drinks (4/5): While they have a full bar, Cooper's, as the name indicates, is known for their wine. They even have a wine club. I ended up going with a wine flight where you get to try four different wines. There are some restrictions, but you can pick pretty much most of what you want from their large menu. It was nice to get a mix of wines I was interested in. I love the variety! Food (4.5/5): They start you off with some complimentary warm pretzel bread and butter which is always a nice touch. From there, even though they were out of my first choice, my second choice wasn't too shabby. I went with the chicken picatta which is one of my favorite Italian dishes. Good portion size with three breaded chicken fillets, plus the pasta. The lemon sauce was just right. A filling and delicious meal. My partner in crime had the Caprese flatbread, which I tried... also delicious. The first time I visited Cooper's was in Tampa many years ago. It's great to dine with them again (just try to avoid peak hours if you can)!

Most recently, I hosted some VIPs to Phoenix and we booked a wine walkabout tour back to back weeks. Booking was easy with Susan, she was able to get us scheduled quickly. Our tour was with Sharon -- she was the BEST. An absolute legend. She was hilarious, so fun, accommodating, and helpful. Each stop was unique and the wines were delicious. The snacks were great too! My husband and I had such a wonderful time! Marcy taught us that process and oven temps are everything for macarons to come out perfect. She gave us useful baking tips I never would have thought of (and I bake a lot) and made us feel as though we were naturals at the process. There were a variety of colors and flavors to choose from and each of us walked away with our own dozen macarons to enjoy at home. I so enjoy getting a written description of the winery, types of grapes used, tasting notes, and things to pair with the wine. I just went back today to get three more bottles of a french sparkling wine (that was in the wine club offering) that was so good I had to have more. Of course, while I was there I had to purchase some gorgeous bakery items. Every time I go, I ask for recommendations and I have been so happy with all the wines I have tried. What I like best is that I am trying new grape varieties, wines from regions I'm not familiar with, and wines from boutique vineyards.

It was the last night for live music & im glad we were able to experience it because it will not be back till September due to the weather!
