Instead, after one month (when he didn't even come to the Sugar Land office but sent his Nurse), he suddenly closed the office and refused to see me in his Baytown office. His website is inaccurate as to his actual location(s). His office said they "could not" see me because I was "out of their area", which is nonsense - and his current website reads that he "Serves Houston and surrounding areas". They did call in one month of my back pain medication, but it's almost impossible to line up a new doctor in that short time period. He basically left me, his patient, that he agreed to take over from Dr. Brown in a lurch. I will be filing a Medical Association Grievance for failure to treat as agreed and not fulfilling his obligation to treat patients that he agreed to under his agreement to take over Dr. Brown's practice and treat patients in a medically professional way and for failure to refer to another doctor after his sudden withdrawal of medical services. I couldn't believe he did this to me and he cannot be trusted to keep his professional word and agreements. Avoid this Doctor!

The 2nd floor visit was a bit different. At check-in, the young man appeared to be disengaged or bothered which is the person that checked us in and the young lady sitting next to him was preoccupied with her cell phone. While some may not notice, it was clear: head down, hands moving, and unaware that patient standing right in front of them. This comes across as disrespectful. A simple shift - putting phones away and being present - would make a significant difference. Aside from that, the care and service on the 2nd floor matched the excellence of the 5th floor. We had a little bit of a wait, but with as many patients as we saw in the waiting room, it really wasn't bad. The ladies in the front had everything running like a well oiled machine and with me filling out paperwork ahead of time and also being able to pay in advance, we had no clipboard full of papers to go over and we didn't have to show anything other than our ID. Once in the room, Dr. Gary Brock came in and was friendly. He immediately introduced himself to me and my husband and then tried to interact with my toddler who just wasn't having it. That's no fault of Dr. Brock... he's just a two year old who doesn't like being in one spot longer than 32.7 seconds lol. Dr. Brock DID manage to get a high five and as he was looking at my son's legs and hips, he was talking to us about what he was looking for and what he saw. He was also being as playful as my little guy would allow in his annoyance of not being on the run. My husband went with my son to get a couple x-rays and just about the time I thought we'd be doing some more waiting, Dr. Brock was already back with copies of the X-rays telling us everything looked good. He made sure that we got his card with his personal number on it and encouraged us to send him any videos of our son walking/running if we saw something that didn't look/feel right. He said he didn't want us to have to bother making an appointment and coming all the way to the office if he could help us over a text or call. Even though our initial wait was longer than a two year-old would prefer, we spent a grand total of 1.5 hours from the time we got our parking garage ticket to the time we were back in the car. Not bad for seeing a specialist on a busy Thursday.
