The ladies in the front had everything running like a well oiled machine and with me filling out paperwork ahead of time and also being able to pay in advance, we had no clipboard full of papers to go over and we didn't have to show anything other than our ID. Once in the room, Dr. Gary Brock came in and was friendly. He immediately introduced himself to me and my husband and then tried to interact with my toddler who just wasn't having it. That's no fault of Dr. Brock... he's just a two year old who doesn't like being in one spot longer than 32.7 seconds lol. Dr. Brock DID manage to get a high five and as he was looking at my son's legs and hips, he was talking to us about what he was looking for and what he saw. He was also being as playful as my little guy would allow in his annoyance of not being on the run. My husband went with my son to get a couple x-rays and just about the time I thought we'd be doing some more waiting, Dr. Brock was already back with copies of the X-rays telling us everything looked good. He made sure that we got his card with his personal number on it and encouraged us to send him any videos of our son walking/running if we saw something that didn't look/feel right. He said he didn't want us to have to bother making an appointment and coming all the way to the office if he could help us over a text or call. Even though our initial wait was longer than a two year-old would prefer, we spent a grand total of 1.5 hours from the time we got our parking garage ticket to the time we were back in the car. It is one of the best, most seamless experiences I've seen. Our 5th floor visit went extremely well. From check-in to check-out, everyone was attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful. The 2nd floor visit was a bit different. At check-in, the young man appeared to be disengaged or bothered which is the person that checked us in and the young lady sitting next to him was preoccupied with her cell phone. While some may not notice, it was clear: head down, hands moving, and unaware that patient standing right in front of them. This comes across as disrespectful. A simple shift - putting phones away and being present - would make a significant difference. Aside from that, the care and service on the 2nd floor matched the excellence of the 5th floor. Facility: Large, has the necessary equipment, feels communal, totally fine. Process: This is where I say 3 stars. The appointment booking process was confusing, I wasn't provided an address until I asked for it, and the billing happens (not gets sent, but happens) a full 30 days later, then gets sent out. If you are between insurance plans like me and need this to come through quickly, beware. That said, Ashley at the front desk as well as everyone I've spoken to on the phone are really nice. Care provider: The reason I'm writing is because I was moved by my initial consultation with my physical therapist Sean Harris. HARD 5 stars - I'd give him more if I could. I haven't even begun the meat of my treatment, and I already know. Once in a blue moon you meet someone whom you know truly cares about his work and his sphere of influence, and contributes meaningfully to make a difference without having to explain his reasons. Talk about someone who lives missionally. Even among medical professionals, that could be hard to find, and Sean is one of those people who make you yell, Jackpot - don't let this one go (I mean that as a healthcare provider, but I also hope his wife reads this). I went in because of my back. Long story short, I need to preserve bone density like it's gold and strengthen my back/core/glutes. I could've told you up to that part. But never did I think I'd be discussing at my physical therapy intro session the impact of vitamin D and be recommended to discuss with my other doctors the potential effects of hormonal intake on bone health. He took the time to explain his approach, shared his opinions founded on facts and research (I also noticed on his business card that he's a PhD candidate), and provided insight I never would've thought otherwise. I want to talk more about this time portion, because a busy care provider to talking to you means they are forgoing profit for you. I had booked a certain amount of time, and him going over that is a gesture that earns not only gratitude but also trust - that he really cares about me. There are other ways in which he made a difference, and he did so kindly and almost matter of factly. Hence why I'm championing Sean, unsolicited, at 8:45 in the morning. Needless to say, I'm thrilled for my next session and can't recommend him enough. That probably means it'll be harder for me to book time with him, but a medical professional like him needs to impact more change in people's lives, and I won't hog him to myself :) Thank you, Sean, for making the best impression. Finally, after a year and a half of dealing with the pain and it and only getting worse, I decided I had to do something. Dr. Ho would tell you I have a high tolerance for pain, but this was unbearable and I would wake up every night in tears it was so bad. I went to Texas Orthopedic Hospital to a shoulder specialist who wanted to shoot me up with cortisone, I'd had X-rays, an MRI, and went to a very well-known neurosurgeon to try and find out what the problem was. I didn't want to temporarily fix it, I wanted to know what was wrong. He said he didn't know why I didn't just get the cortisone shots and walked out of the room. If I wouldn't get sued, I would tell you his name. I couldn't believe it. I'd driven almost two hours to go see him because he came so highly recommended. Needless to say, I didn't go back and was furious! A friend recommended I go to a chiropractor. Her chiropractor in Wyoming recommended two in Houston whom I researched, but saw Dr. Casey Ho had, at that time, 20 five star reviews and was also an acupuncturist. HE'S who I wanted to see. He got me in the next day. Three needles later, ART, and an adjustment, and I walked out pain free...PAIN FREE!!! I'm grateful DAILY that I found him. I've been going to him for eight years now because I tend to be somewhat clumsy, and have taken some pretty bad falls, mainly because of my dogs, but they were completely my fault. Unfortunately, both shoulders have torn tendons. Each time after my appointment, I've walked out with no pain and have full range of motion in both arms . Thank you so much, Dr. Ho. You're my hero.

I get to the appointment taken to room questions answered only to be told that Doctor Ugo refuses to see me even though my knee issue had absolutely nothing to do with a pending litigation. Then I'm told that they have to get clearance. Wanted me to fax information but had no clue what information to fax, to which I said how am I suppose to know what to fax if you don't know. Upon further talks clearance was given when the appointment was made over six weeks ago. This doctor didn't have the common courtesy or decency to even come and have a conversation with me after I explained the issue and the status to his staff. After speaking with someone on a more authoritative level, she stated that there should not have been an issue with this at all. By that time over an hour had gone by and still no staff came out to explain anything. Treated me like a second class citizen. The young lady asked did I still want him to see me. When checking the schedule, she said they cannot fit me in now because they are booked for the day. I told her I don't even trust this doctor anymore. His bedside manner is poor. She stated he's a good doctor. I said, despite the fact that he may be a good doctor I can no longer trust him with my care just based on the treatment and rejection I received today. Who's to say he'd mess up my knee worse than what it is for the rest of life due to retaliation. If he had come in and had a conversation vs throwing me aside like yesterdays trash, my opinion may have been different. So no, I personally would not recommend this doctor at all. This review is based on my sister's brief ICU stay before she ultimately passed last year. She had…read morebeen to several hospitals during her leukemia battle. Out of all of them, the ICU nurses at Memorial were the most caring, compassionate nurses we experienced. Although she was at the end of her journey and no longer responsive, they made sure to keep her clean and advocated for her until the very end. When she was finally pronounced, the nurses all came in and I saw a few of them crying...for a patient they had only been taking care of for 3 days. I truly wish my sister had been to this hospital when she was first diagnosed, but God knows. I'm truly grateful this was the final stop of her journey. Blessings to the ICU staff that gave her such great care.

Of course you don't get rest in a hospital but they made sure to try to make it comfortable. That room in my opinion was prehistoric. Nothing about that room gave labor and delivery. It was very small and cramped. Tv remote had to be switched out because that wasn't working the first hour. The sleep sofa was in an odd space. But once I delivered I was moved to a recovery room in the jones building. The room was much nicer, but small. The limit is four guest but to be honest that's too much. I also love the celebration menu for the new parents. Steak, lobster Mac and cheese, spinach and key lime cheese cake. A very good reward after not being on a clear liquid diet for two days.

First of all, there's nobody in Southern NM who knows how to do partials. I would have had two total knee replacements if I hadn't found Dr. Matthews. I was walking on my own after one week. The PT place in Ruidoso said they've never seen anyone do that. Dr. Mathews was a gift from God. I highly recommend him. I was only to have physical therapy at home to insure no possibility of infection. The Home Health group they suggest employs genuine quality professionals. Other rehab is out of the question due to the numerous contacts the nurses have with all the rehab patients. It was a little difficult to accept until I learn the alternative. If my knee gets infected they must remove the prosthesis until there is no longer an infection. Then they reinsert the prosthesis. Quel Désastre!!! A very dear friend of my Mother's passed away from a knee replacement infection. Dr. VM has an excellent staff and is well respect. His nurse Sara is one of my favorites. No more visits to see Dr. VM. Both knees are perfect. I would recommend a pain management doctor if needed. Good luck and best wishes.
