I was Dr Abboud's patient in January 2024 for ptosis correction and scar repair procedure. I don't have words to express my gratitude and the remarkable experience I had being the patient of Dr Abboud. I had an accident when I was three where I knocked the corner of a chair when I was running and the chair fell on my left eye causing it to bleed continuously. My parents brought me to urgent care where the doctor simply put a few stitches to stop the bleeding. The doctor at that time wasn't an eye specialist and the botched job caused me to have ptosis and visible scar on my left eye growing up. Two years ago when taking photos, I noticed my droopy eyelid got worse. I found Dr Abboud online from all the amazing reviews, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions in my life. Dr Abboud did a fantastic job fixing my droopy eyelid. I was worried at first because my eye blood vessel bursted the night before I'm supposed to remove my stitches, and my eye bled continuously. Dr Abboud remains available despite it being late night, calmed me and helped answered the questions from UCSD emergency room staff. Best way I have invested in myself because of Dr. Abboud and his team's ability to provide outcomes beyond my expectations. Dr. Abboud has performed an eyelid crease and removed the bags under my eyes. Yes, these are layman terms for upper and lower Blepharoplasty surgery. My results are amazing. It has been 3 months since my surgery. My crease makes me look more engaged rather than angry. I also appear less tired without the bags. The scars are so expertly placed by Dr. Abboud that they appear to be natural wrinkles. After the first week, people could not tell that I have had my eyes modified. I proceeded with a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning in July 2022 and I am thrilled with my results. I have dealt with bags under my eyes since my teens and constantly looked tired. At 38 years old, I decided to start trying filler. One of the first things out of the doctors mouth who did my filler was "you're not a good candidate for filler, you'd be a great candidate for surgery though" I did filler for close to two years and kept debating what she said about surgery. After having to get some filler dissolved and re-filled, I decided I was going to look into surgery. Dr. Abboud was recommended to me early on in my search, and he ended up being the only MD I did a consult with. I loved his approach, demeanor, and previous clients work. Any MD I researched after meeting with him seemed to pale in comparison. The only positive thing about this place is their Front Office Admin, Selene. This was one of the most disrespectful doctor's I've ever dealt with in my life! I went in for an internal eye cyst that needed to be removed after 1.5 years of two other Ophthalmologists trying to remove the cyst. Dr. Abboud didn't even inspect my internal eye cyst before recommending a surface laser that my insurance didn't cover. Of course you're going to recommend treatments that I DON'T NEED and that are NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. After going back and forth with Dr. Abboud, he was more concerned about the referring doctors, his unnecessary laser treatment and making more and more money off of me versus actually being a CONCERNED DOCTOR and treating my actual eye condition. I went to Dr. Abboud because I had a chalazion on my left eyelid. The inside of my lid was surgically cut to ostensibly drain my clogged pore(s). I left with the chalazion not looking any different than when I arrived. In addition, in the half year since this surgery, I've seen several doctors because it never healed. Long story short - it appears that the incision was so great that it's caused scarring. I will live with the eyelid as it is, but I would never go to Dr. Abboud for another chalazion. I wished he had started with a small incision, but alas, it is what it is and life goes on... On another note, I'm on medicare with a supplement. I should never receive a bill. However, this office sent me THREE bills, with tons of itemized costs, including a crazy cost for each time a photo was taken of my eye. It was all an unfortunate experience. read more

I would never had believed that you could have surgery in such a sensitive area and not have a moment of pain after - bruising and slight swelling, yes, that is normal but NO PAIN and no scars. I would highly recommend Dr. Abboud to anyone considering eyelid surgery! And especially if you're considering a mid-facelift with upper and lower blepharoplasty. I had these 3 procedures done by different General Plastic Surgeon in March 2019 and although my cheeks looked great, my lower eyelids were drooping at the outside corners which made my eyes look very sad. Not only that, I experienced constant tearing in my eyes and I could no longer wear my contact lenses. I even endured a second revision surgery by the same General Plastic Surgeon in June 2019 and unfortunately was no better. What I had was an unwanted side effect known as lower eyelid retraction. After doing more research on the internet, I realized that I needed to go to an Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon because they specialize in eyelid surgery. That's when I met Dr. Abboud in August. I cannot recommend Dr. Abboud highly enough! I have had droopy eyelids (ptosis) that made me look tired all the time. I had been to several doctors and plastic surgeons, who were either unable to help me or I did not feel comfortable with them operating on my eyes. Finally, while searching for eyelid specialists in San Diego, I came across Dr. Abboud's website. I emailed him through his website and he personally called me the same day.
