Well 20% restocking, 250 fright, 150 to help a handicapped person to pack it. Well I'm not a happy customer but I'm furious for being misled. Also my chair was shipped to California, I live in Miami. Sales expert Caleb knew nothing about the product he was selling. Found out he was misleading me after I talked to manufacturer. They just want to recommend the product that makes them more money. My experience with this company has been less than acceptable. My initial interaction with sales rep, Todd, was quite delightful. Based on this, I would have happily given a 5 star review; however, issues began immediately upon placing my order. First, I scheduled an appointment to place my order for a custom wheelchair for my son. When an hour had elapsed from the initial appt. time, I called to inquire if the sales rep was maybe out of the office sick. I was told he was not and that he had stepped out to lunch. He did call me, 1.5 hrs. after our scheduled time. Despite this, we placed an order on July 26, 2024 and my credit card was charged $5,041.71. Because this was a custom chair, we knew that it would take a few weeks for it to be built and shipped. We received an estimated ship date of 9/13/24. On 9/16/24 I contacted our sales rep to inquire on shipping; I was told he would look into and call me back in a few hours. I received no return call. I called the following day and left a voicemail to follow up and again asked for a return call. I received no return call. I called the next day. I was asked if I was calling about Matthew's chair - I have no idea who Matthew is. I was told estimated ship date was now 10/15/24. Disappointed, but resigned that I would need to wait. Today, I received a voicemail from our rep wherein he again references Matthew's chair. At this point, I became quite concerned that both my son and Matthew's orders have been mixed up. I again left a voice mail for our rep indicating my concern and the reason for my concern. I then called the manufacturer who indicated that they had in fact received my order on 9/18/24 - YESTERDAY. I am beyond frustrated that this company took my money in July yet did nothing with my order until I called to inquire on the status and then only took action after multiple phone calls. Zero stars for no lift chair. Made numerous calls to SpinLife only to get an automated recording with shipping tracking number and contact shipper, call disconnects. No way to speak to any live SpinLife person. Tried to contact via their site, account is not there and no way to contact anyone about our order, really?! Followed the shipping site to see lift chair sat in warehouse in San Antonio for a week with scheduled delivery date the following week. Upon delivery day, update shipping information indicates will call for delivery. Waited all day for call, nothing. Following day, tracking information now unavailable. Found shipping contact number, after 3 transfers, Wes stated "we don't deliver to your location ", will have to have Houston office call you. Expect call soon. Again, waited all day, no call from shipper. Since unable to reach SpinLife, phone or site, and because shipper stated they don't deliver to us, we immediately contacted our credit card issuer to chargeback the $1500 so we can buy a much needed lift chair from a reputable company. We lost 3 weeks waiting for something that will never arrive. Lessons learned, Recommend you first do research before buying from SpinLife. After reading many 1-star reviews from multiple sites, this seems to be normal practice from SpinLife. They take your money and don't deliver medical necessary equipment. Worse mobility company in the world, ordered a new scooter because I am 100% disable, given a tracking number and invoice showing Southeastern freight is the carrier. Also email stating someone would call 24 hours before delivering it. Checked tracking number for days, however, showed "no information available." While at a funeral in Florida, my neighbor in North Carolina calls me and says, "there is a large box sitting on your walkway and it is pouring down rain. He took pictures for me and sent them to me, the box was completely damaged and busted, note still had all 3 straps on the box. Water damage very visible. I called them and they said, "we don't show the package has been delivered by the freight company." With in minutes she called back and stated, "yes, it was delivered, however, out of Tampa Florida, it was sent Fed Ex, not Southeastern Freight." But they lied to me constantly over and over, made a fool out of me having me checking a tracking number they sent that didn't exist. They have just about all 1 star complaints on them through their web site. Then I paid $300 down payment, they showed it on invoice a discount. It was a down payment, not discount. They had already given me a TAKESEVEN CODE for a discount. Then with the entire box damaged, they said it would cost $250.00 to send it back for restocking. Are they that stupid. It was left sitting on my side walk at my front door, I never signed for it, it wasn't shipped by the company my paper work stated and caused me to go into A-Fib over this. Stay away from this company. Go read the complaints at their site. See the pics, this is how they treat customers and steal there money like many are saying, and for Armando in his complaint, Caleb Carter could care less once they get your money like many are saying about Spinlife. Garbage company, garbage products. As far as I can tell, Spinlife is a middleman - they send orders to the companies that have the actual products and those companies do the shipping. In my case (as in apparently many other people's cases) the actual shipper sent a tracking number but didn't actually ship the item at that time. I contacted Spinlife after about a week to ask what was going on, was told that they would contact the shipper and get back to me. They never got back to me. Two weeks after the tracking number was sent, the item actually got shipped. That's when the real fun started. The wheelchair I received (that I'd paid $2000 for) was cheap and flimsy and barely able to roll or turn on any surface other than the most flat, smooth, and level of surfaces. It was unsafe to use due to constantly rolling downhill (into traffic). It also started malfunctioning after a handful of uses with the controller seemingly getting stuck in the "forward" position and nearly running off without me. I had to lift it up to keep it from running off while I frantically tried to get it to stop. read more

I just purchased a $1000 Spitfire Pro SE three weeks ago. The very first time I attempted to remove the battery to recharge it, the battery handle broke. Since the handle itself can be easily removed with two basic screws, I figured it would be easy enough to get a replacement handle. NOPE! The only option is to buy a completely new battery for $300 (1/3 the cost of the entire scooter)! The Spitfire scooter itself is great and has served me well over the last couple of weeks. Just make sure you have the budget for a second scooter if even the most trivial plastic part breaks on it. I will NOT be buying from Spinlife ever again. read more

I ordered a pride mobility go chair from spinlife on 5/3 which is a Sunday. I ordered the chair from this company because of the 3-5 day delivery time. I looked each day and saw that the shipping date changed from 5/4 - 5/6. 5/7 I called the shipping company and they told me that they had not knowledge of the shipment being picked up. I called spinlife and explained how the delivery date had changed three times in three days. She stated that she was going to call the wearhouse to find out where the order was. She came back on the phone and stated that the order was being shipped from Las Vegas to Pennsylvania. I asked her why are they doing that when I live in Utah which is 15 hours away. She was silent. I asked to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor came on the phone she told me that it was actually in Pennsylvania and that I probably won't see it until Friday May 14. At this time I told her that the only reason why I got the chair is because without it I can't go to work. After she said that I let her know that your changed the delivery date three times and now I'm not going to see it until "MAYBE" May 14th. I asked her if your knew it was going to be not in stock, why wasn't I notified so that i would have a choice as to whether or not to cancel and go somewhere else where I can get it delivered quicker. A that time I was hung up on because she was silent like she forgot how to speak or forgot English. I need a chair to go to work because i was in a motorcycle accident and I need it for mobility since I can't really walk. My old chair had stopped working and I went with SpinLife because they were cheaper and had a better delivery time than pride mobility. I'm glad I have an understanding boss, but if that chair isn't here by Friday, I will be really pissed. I have already contacted the BBB on this and SPINLIFE HAS AN A+ RATING on their site but a 1.5 customer service rating. I've been to other sites and I see the same thing. Ordered a patient lift which never arrived. Shipping company did not call or leave a message. Lift was returned by shipping company. I have called and left emails about being refunded for the price of the Genesis 400 lift, $1,134.62 and the three year service agreement, $250. Plus taxes. That's $1,384.62 + tax. Customer support is some of the worst ever. I wanted a return number to return the sling, and they said I could keep it. They did not mention my credit back to PayPal. On Christmas Day, my mom and I ordered an electric wheelchair from this company. The chair was supposed to ship on December 31, 2020. When we checked the status of the chair on 01/05/2021, the chair had still not left the warehouse. My mom called, and she was told that she would be called back. Guess what? No callback. I wrote two emails and no reply to either and when I called I was told that the chair had not shipped yet! What kind of business are you running? I explained my physical limitations to the "tech" at this scam shop, and made it clear that I cannot lift heavy objects. I have a weight restriction of 3-5 pounds. I was told that the ramp that I needed to get a scooter into my vehicle would come in 4 separate pieces, each weighing 8 pounds, and that I could put these pieces together (by myself!) and regain my independence. I made it excruciatingly clear that if I couldn't handle this ramp, the whole order would be canceled, ramp, scooter, white glove delivery, all of it. The ramp arrived, in a box so heavy that I could not lay it down flat. It was not in 4 pieces. It was in one piece. There was an extra box delivered with it, with a weight of 16 pounds, as a necessary piece to bridge the gap into the hatch back on my car. There was NO WAY IN HELL that I could do ANYTHING with this ramp!!!!!!!! I was lied to, pure and simple, just to get me caught in their scam of stealing from disabled people. When I confronted the liar, his excuse for lying was, "Well, this was the only ramp that would work with your vehicle." IT DOESN'T WORK IF I CAN'T LIFT IT!!!!!!!! I had to pay to ship the ramp back. $77.89 for 48 pounds of useless crap. I was charged a 20% restocking fee, because of the lying jackass who sold it to me. I canceled the scooter that was shipped out at the same time. I never received the scooter. Never laid eyes on it. I was charged a 20% restocking fee for it. They attempted to keep the extra fee I paid for white glove delivery service so I had to call the manager 3 or 4 times before I finally spoke to her and got that money back also. In all, they kept about $500 in restocking fees because their sales "tech" lied through his teeth and I am sure he got a nice slice of the pie for rooking me in to buying something he KNEW was not workable for me from our first conversation. This company is NOT to be trusted. They think nothing of taking advantage of people who are vulnerable and desperate to be self-sufficient again. The "technician" that I spoke to told me that he was disabled also, that he knew these products and that I would be able to maneuver this ramp by myself. HE LIED. I have purchased a drive scooter that is owned through spinlife almost a year ago. My scooter is still under the manufacturer 's warranty. I didn't quite own it a year when my scooter started having problems. On the dashboard I have a light indicator that lights up 5 green bars, 3 yellow bars, and 2 red bars. As I used the scooter I made sure that it was charged up for me to take it out again the next or so or when I was in need to go out. Well, my Communication lights started indicating a malfunction with the unit and I called in for repair. The first thing we all thought that the scooter might of not been charging properly, so they replaced the charger. Plugged the unit back up and charged it up overnight and took the scooter out the next day and again the Communication lights indicator dropped, so again I called for service, so the next stepnwas to replace the batteries. So, once again went to charge up the new batteries. The next morning after the batteries were all charged and the scooter was ready to go, I took it out and I went 1 block with it the light indicator went down to 1 yellow. I turned around and went back the 1 block to home and the light indicator went red. So, once again, I called service, and at that point they had to come and pick up the scooter and bring it to their service shop and start figuring out what was going on with it. They picked up my scooter JANUARY 2022. They realized it wasn't the charger and they realized it wasn't the batteries. So, they left my scooter running overnight on one of their machines and the scooter OVERHEATED. I wasn't to happy to hear that from my tech. The company was called to speak to a senior tech and it was discovered that my dashboard had a Communication issue with the battery. So, the problem was detected by my mechanic and a junior tech and the part was ordered and on back order and the wait time was 3 weeks before it was installed on my machine. Now we are in April or May and I got excited because the part came in and it was installed. The part is called a cluster. All of a sudden I get a call of my mechanic/tech thinking he was calling to make arrangements to drop the scooter back off to me after it being gone all WINTER I found out MORE BAD NEWS. The machine is in need of another part. After he installed the installed the cluster and did the test run the scooter made improvements, it still wasn't where it should be, so he called back the company and this time he got a senior tech on the phone and found out that when you replace a cluster it goes hand in hand in replacing the computer on the machine. He explained the reason for that is because it's a Communication problem. The lights aren't communicating with the batteries. So, they had to order the computer separately and it was coming in from China. So, that part is also on BACK ORDER and supposed to come in JUNE. June came and it got pushed back to AUGUST. Well, guess what folks, we are now in SEPTEMBER and the part is still NOT IN. MY SCOOTER IS NOT FIXED AND I AM HOMEBOUND!! IT'S AGAINST COMPANY POLICY TO GIVE OUT A LOANER, THEY WON'T REPLACE MY UNIT UNDER THE WARRANTY AND I AM OUT MY MONEY. I HAVE TO BE HONEST. MY SCOOTER OVERHEATED IN THEIR HANDS, I WOULD WANT A NEW MACHINE AND I WOULD WANT A MODEL THATS 1 UP ON THAT WITH A BETTER BATTERY LIFE THAN THE ONE THATS ON THE MODEL THAT I BOUGHT. I love my 535 Tall Maxicomfort. It envelopes me like a cloud for sleeping. With multiple back and leg issues, I rely on the Lift function to stand and transfer directly to my wheelchair. The remote control enables infinite positions for reclining, watching TV, reading, and I'm very glad I got the extended footrest...no more feet hanging over. There is also a solidity to the chair, and a smooth- ness to the movement that I haven't had in previous recliners. I've had my chair for a month now. I'm in it 16 hours a day. Customer service is horrible. Had bought the spitfire scooter scratched up and parts missing with a broken cover for the battery. Complain for 2 months to get anything done. Was told because of my inconvenience they would upgrade me to one called a scout and credit me $50 back because of all of this. No they sent me another spitfire which I'm still having problems with both of them batteries are going dead the unit itself cracks and creeps and rubs the wheels. Totally unacceptable. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran going through the VA ILP program. A chair was ordered from Spinlife and provided to me between Sept 24 - 28 - 2021. To help with my disabilities and back pain. The tech they sent put the chair together wrong which caused the chair to become unbalanced and to eventually become unstable and break in other areas of the chair. I called Spinlife and reported this as soon as I noticed this within the 30 day warranty period. When the tech was sent back to put the chair back together the full extent of the damage was realized and I was told a part would be ordered and the chair would be fixed. Over a month later, nothing from the company but silence. So I called Spinlife back, and all that had been done was they reached out to the manufacturer. Who when I called back had not reached back out to them nor had Spinlife been keeping track of that requested part. After that call, within a couple weeks, a replacement part appeared at my door with no notice, and when opened was completely broken. I called and reported all this to Spinlife, as well as several calls checking into why nothing was being done. Speaking to the highest of people, I was told, in the company who could make this right. Spinlife management tells me they have reached out to the manufacturer. "That I will just have to wait like them." That there is, "nothing we can do at this point." As a disabled veteran with mobility issues, I now have this huge broken chair in my house with a nearly equally big broken part. No one IN REALITY is doing anything but moving the issue from department to department, seller to manufacturer, manager to manager. This is pure neglect and using stalling tactics to circumvent their responsibilities. They simply will not own up to their mistakes and replace the chair. Nor will they fix it. I say this because I received the chair Sept 28th and it is now Feb 4th. It has been 129 days That's 4 months and 6 days. Completely subpar, and unacceptable service. read more

Because of an incorrect picture of a commode on the SpinLife website, I didn't receive the product I expected. Due to FDA / Covid requirements, I could not return the product because the box had been opened. Customer support at SpinLife was great. They got back to me within an hour. Although they could not take the commode back, they credited me with my full purchase price and said that I could keep the commode or donate it to someone. Note that I do not typically write reviews. This is a horrible company to buy from. I bought a Spitfire Pro SE 4W. I paid an extra $100 for an extended battery. I paid another $100 for an extended warranty. The battery went out after less than 2 years. I'm being told by Spinlife that they only last a year. And it's not covered by the warranty. So I'm out a total of $900 for a scooter that I barely used. I have a scooter under warranty and 3 1/2 weeks ago I called for a needed repair. I was told someone would call me before the end of the day to set up an appt. No call. I called the next day and every day since and after holding for 15min was automatically told to leave a message, which I did 11x. Finally last week I reached Support only to be told they would have the repair person call me before the end of the day and they also would call me before the end of the day to confirm the repair person called. No call. I called the next day and was told that since I "live on the Canadian border, it is difficult to get repairs" Well, I do not live anywhere near the Canadian border. Not sure which map they are using but they should enlarge it. I am now told I will receive a call by end of day from repair person....you got it...No call. I call the next day only to be told the closest repair person is 175mi from me in Portland...I asked if he knew that Portland was in another state? He said "Oh it is?" ummmm yep and I happen to know several repair companies near me and I asked if they could just contract with one. He said "Oh yes, do you have their names and numbers?" sighhhh....After sorting through this I am told.....drumroll please....yep, I'm told I will get a call before the end of the day to confirm appt. ummm...No call.... Call back the next day to be told a specific person, from a specific company will be calling me to set appt. 10min later I get a VM from a totally different person from a totally different company! I call back and no answer so I leave a VM and two days later.....No call back. As a follow up report...we had to give up the fight and I hadn't even had the ROHO overlay for a year. The ROHO had factory imperfections - the seams on the undersides/sides had splits - my cat was responsible for only one tiny hole on top. I went to a mattress store and bought a modern twin mattress with memory foam and gel features. It responds well to the hospital bed frame. read more

I ordered a hospital bed and it arrived however it arrived without a mattress. I was told by customer service (who seem to just want to get you off the phone) that there had been an error and my mattress wasn't shipped with the bed. Now logic would suggest that if you need a hospital bed you have a problem and now you are sleeping on blankets covering the springs. Last week I called each day and was told they were checking with the manufacturer to see when they would ship. Well, this was not the case, it wasn't until the following Monday I learned they hadn't included the mattress with the order. In speaking with the customer rep was frustrating, she just wanted to get me off the phone. You might ask why couldn't I just sleep on the old mattress, in order to install the new bed I pulled the old bed out and gave it away so I could get my scooter around. I am in a rental wheelchair that I have to pay $125 per month until I get mine. I called and placed my order with Daryl on October 25th, and paid almost four thousand dollars for a chair. It couldn't have been a simpler transaction. I gave him the serial number from my old chair and he pulled up all the specs from tilite instantly. I said I needed the EXACT same chair, minus push handles. That's it! Made the purchase, and the money was taken that day. He said it would be about 20 days until I get it, no problem. I called on November 3rd to get any update, if one was available. He said let me look into and call you back. Zero return call back, so I emailed. Zero return email. I finally called and spoke to someone else today November 13th. Guess what I was told..... it hadn't even been ordered yet!!!!! So when I called on November 3rd he out and out lied to me about it being ordered. He knew right then it hadn't even been ordered, but said nothing. I now have no clue if my chair has even been ordered, and if so, when will I even see it? So I will end up having to pay another $125 for another month of rental on this chair. I am beside myself on the disgusting communication break down on their part, not to mention the lack of ordering my chair when they already took the almost $4k from my account, and then the straight lie about the status of it. My 96 year old mother ordered a stand up walker. She could not maneuver it so decided to send back. They wanted to charge her a $70 "restocking fee" and a cost of mailing fee of $338, half the cost of the item she bought. So we are sending it via UPS at a third of that cost. I've been told she will get a full refund minus the restocking fee if we do it this way. May take 4 to 6 weeks to get the credit back? Are you kidding me? Cannot recommend this company. read more

Horrible company with bad customer service. They never answer or call you back when trying to reach them. It's a miracle if you are able to reach someone, and even yet, they don't resolve your issue and just give you the run around. I have spoke to so many people there and my issue persists. I bought a powered wheelchair on April 2020 and it stopped working on June 2020. It's been almost 6 months since the chair stopped working, and even though I have warranty, this company has failed to fix my chair. I cannot get a hold of anyone, and when I do, they don't bother to help me at all. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They neglect and disrespect the customer horribly. My husband is disabled and cannot move around without this chair. They don't care to be honest. read more

It's like where do I begin. I ordered a golden chair from Spinlife in 2019 one if the most expensive chairs it was well over $2500.00 and I thought it would last because it was so expensive. I can't even tell you how many times it has broken down. Each time I have asked for a replacement because it happens I the same spot each time. Either the handset suddenly stops working or the 'box" suddenly stops working or both and when I call them now they say you have to have both because one can break the other. This started once the chair was off warranty. I did get the extended warranty thinking it was an extension of the regular warranty, so don't fall for that crap. The only thing you get from an extended warranty is the technician to fix it. You start paying for the supposed parts to fix it. Now they're always had significant problems with sending the parts out. They'll give you a date that they think they'll ship out, but they are never shipped on that date. It's almost always a minimum of 2 weeks before you get them. They never tell you that they order them from the manufacturer and then jack up the price once they receive them. I think this is an illegal practice! Then you get the parts and have to schedule a technician. The technician is wonderful, but his schedule isn't always my schedule so you're usually without the chair for 3 weeks. Now if you needed a chair for health reasons this is a significant problem. I need my legs elevated 2 to 3 times a day so I can't go 3 weeks without a chair. I end up renting one from a local company which is where I recommend that anyone go for a cheaper, more effective, chair. You can but golden just about any place and not have to go through this hassle. The customer service reps are so programmed that they say the same thing everytime you say you have a health issue, no health issue is going to get any better, quicker service. I have begged for overnight shipping and say that it would cost $175.00 for overnight shipping even though it's not available. This place is a sham and should be avoided at all costs. I'd love to see someone put together a class action suit against them. I'd sign on immediately. read more

I placed a order to get my wheels on my chair changed and the guy was suppose to show up and do work at my home and then he called and said he couldn't find a pulley to take them off then turned around and said he had to pick my chair up. He finally showed up after two weeks of going back and forth over the phone. He almost dropped my chair off the ramps. I have a video of that. He had my chair for almost two weeks and finally he called and said he couldn't take the tires off. I told him to bring my chair back which took another 3 days. On May 14, 2018, We ordered a Hoyer Advance340, after being told that it would help get my husband in our car. Phil, representative, told us since it was portable I would be able to get into car so it was available when he needed to get out of car. Well guess what, when it arrived the following Monday, the delivery man said this unit is HEAVY!! Also, after opening the box and finally being able to get it out of the box we found out it stood almost 5 feet. I am only 5'1", there was no way I could get that sucker in our car and to boot, it was really even too big to use in our small house. I have been trying since the 21st to get this item returned to SPINLIFE!!! Friday, we call Phil, was transferred to the Return Dept., was told they would assign an "Returning authorization" and send us an email. This is Wednesday, and no email. Called again, got a hold of someone named Elizabeth. Said Email was sent, but she did give us the number that they say is needed to return item. I am so MAD, that I could spit nails. I purchased a 4 wheel scooter for my 96 yr old grandfather. Also purchased a "white glove" delivery for $200 which means they bring it in the house assemble it and set it up for him and take all the garbage away. This NEVER happened. They dropped it at the front door. He struggled to drag it into the house, managed to get the box open which he later fell into and hurt himself. Luckily some neighbors helped him assemble it which he thinks still isn't right. I made several calls to the company requesting a call back from a manager which they keep telling me will happen. It's been 12 days so far. The promotional gift pack of Cup Holder, Safety Flag, Armrest Saddle Bag never arrived either. Bottom line they didn't honor the purchase agreement. My grandfather was hurt as a result of that. Time to call the lawyers. Do not use this company!! read more
