I got a catalog in the mail and called Spinlife that afternoon to order a scooter which I had been shopping for recently - the price in the catalog was lower than the price quoted even though the catalog was just delivered. We worked out a price and I purchased their "White Glove" assembly and delivery service for an additional $100 and was told by the sale rep that I could get the color I wanted by telling the White Glove rep what I wanted while he was assembling the device - the implication being that I would be with him during assembly, When FedEx sent me a tracking notice it said that the delivery was to Hackensack, New Jersey, NOT my home in New York. the notice also said that the delivery had been delayed, so I called FedEx and they would not give me any information since the delivery name and address were not mine! I called SpinLife and spoke to rather loud and rude woman who informed me that the device was being delivered to the "White Glove" shippers where they would assemble it and the delivery it to me - a rep would call me when the scooter arrived in Hackensack. So much for telling them what color I wanted! The obnoxious woman then told me that all this had been explained to me in detail by the salesman when I placed my order - IT HAD NOT BEEN EXPLAINED and the salesman's implication was totally different from the actual arrangement. FedEx notified me that the scooter was delivered last Friday (TWO WEEKS from Ohio to New Jersey) and I still have NOT heard from the White Glove representative despite my purchase having been two weeks ago. I paid roughly $1600.00 for scooter, warranty and White Glove Service which seems like a huge waste of money from where I stand at the moment right now... and even if it all works out in the end I will still be very unhappy about their horrendous customer service and shady sales techniques!

I had called looking for a replacement bag that would fit under the seat of my walker. Of course, I didn't know the brand name or anything about that, other than mine was now threadbare and anything I might consider putting in the pouch, had a good chance of falling through to the ground. This is not what I wanted to have happen to my tablet, my keys or anything else I might have drop thru. Upon our arrival, Valerie, the receptionist was ver polite and courteous and told us she would call Joe from service to let him know we were here to talk to him about the pouch/bag for my seated walker. As we waited, we looked around at all the equipment and devices designed to help moderate to severely handicapped people. I was thrilled when I saw a soda/can holder that attaches to the bars of my walker. Ive actually been looking for something like this. I just knew something like this had to exist or else I was going to try to find someone to make one for me. But, here, they had it! After I looked around at the riders, lift chairs, and other interesting miscellaneous products that caught my eye, Joe emerged from the service area. He looked at my walker and said that he thought he might have a bag for it in the back. He asked if he could take my walker into the back service area to check it out. A few minutes later Joe emerged into the showroom with my new heavy duty bag/under-the-seat pouch already attached to my walker. This was only slightly more expensive than the original one I'd bought a few years ago, but it was constructed better, stronger, included a lift strap for folding the walker and an additional pouch for holding smaller items in the front of the main pouch. Should you be in need of handicap supplies or devices just to make life easier (special shower heads, canes, walking sticks), head over to Columbus Medical Equipment. This is a fun and interesting place to look around. Ask for Valerie at the desk, or any of the well-qualified professionals to help you and guide you to a member of the sales staff. Even with all of the construction going on There at 5th Ave. you'll still be able to get through pretty easily. So, don't let that stop you.

I have an amputee father in law, Vietnam Vet whose scooter needs service. It's his means of transportation. We called National seating and their representative told us they did not work on scooters that were not purchase at their store. On the customer service side they did not help with a place that does.
