The staff is…read morefriendly and somewhat helpful, even though most will give you blank stares if you ask them anything too technical or out of the ordinary. Apparently they don't have as much inventory as the Corvallis Radio Shack since I'm often sent there for things they don't have in stock. Being a huge nerd, I spend way too much time and money in this store. Of course, the one incident that really stands out there is the bad one. I needed to switch cell phone providers since T-Mobile had horrible coverage at the time and the clerk there told me outright LIES to get me to sign up for cell phone service with him. Apparently he was just blindly saying yes to all my questions to get me to sign up, even though my cell phone couldn't do anything that he claimed such as bluetooth file syncing and tethering to my laptop for internet. So watch out for the shifty salesmen there! Overall it's a nice store and what you'd expect from a Radio Shack.

I was desperate for computer help and the big box store I had always turned to could not get me in…read morefor a week. I teach online so I just could not wait. I even considered buying a new machine! But I did a quick search and found Summit and thought - what is the worst that could happen? I was blown away. Even the answering message was inviting! I did not leave a message because they said just drop in but I got a returned call from them anyway. Everyone was really nice, did not treat me like an idiot, and understood my slight panic of not being able to connect to the internet. They freely shared some great advice on virus and malware protection. And they took my computer in promising to get to it ASAP and, while they could not promise same day, they would try. This was about noon. By 5:30 they had it all cleaned up - inside and out. And it is so fast - I had forgotten how fast my laptop was/is. I cannot recommend them enough - and if you are a ways out and wondering if they are worth the drive, the answer is yes.

In just 24 hours they replaced a bad hard drive, and diagnosed and fixed my broken Bluetooth. They saved me buying a new computer. Also, this story kind of shows who they are: The 10 year old kid next door had a problem with his tablet, and he decided he was going to get it fixed on his own, so he rode his bike down to Summit. They fixed whatever the problem was while he waited and then let him have it for no charge! He had brought money intending to pay for any repair, but they decided to bless the kid. Good people!
