I was escorted out to my table, and my drink order was taken. Going through the menu, I opted for a burger with fries. It was quite pleasant out, and waiting for my food was not a problem. The burger was quite good, and the fries were decent as well. The price point is a bit more than most of the sports bars out there, but the Tioga area tends to boost the cost of things a bit. It's been about a year since our last visit and here's what I've come up with. 1. The water is terrible. Please buy a filter. I think it's the worst water I've had in a Gainesville restaurant. 2. This place can't decide if it's a restaurant or bar. It's loud. Very loud when full. I couldn't even understand the server and my husband had to sit next to me. The bar is the focal point. It should really be in the other room off to the side. It takes up too much space and it's obnoxiously loud. 3. The menu: Again. It's a bar menu. Large selection of handhelds. Few limited mains. Some salads. There are appetizers but this is the weakest link on the menu. 4. I usually love their off menu drinks. But they were both lacking tonight. I even asked for more purée to boost the flavor. The problem was I couldn't taste the gin. Just seltzer. The issue I have when I go out to dinner I'm looking for a meal I won't make at home and although there is a huge chunk of the population that doesn't really care what they eat as long as they don't have to make it , I don't fall in that category. I'm a foodie. Have traveled the world and know a good meal when it sits in front of me. The food here is decent but the ambience and awful water leaves me coming here last minute to find a bite.
