"Akron Canton Airport " may have changed my mind. I just had the best airport experience I can remember in a long long time. I parked right out front. And a man in a van followed me to my parking space and took me and my luggage directly to the entrance... FOR FREE! Can you believe that? Then when I entered the building it was clean, not crowded, good signage, friendly helpful people, efficient. It was a breath of fresh air. We were originally scheduled to fly Breeze out of Akron. When our flight was delayed by more than…read morethree hours due to severe weather, we decided to take advantage of Breeze's full refund policy and book a Delta flight out of Cleveland instead. As the day went on, we realized the weather was impacting multiple airlines, and Delta ended up delaying their flights as well. That made us appreciate even more how Breeze handled the situation. Throughout the day, they kept passengers informed with timely updates and even provided a complimentary food credit--something Delta did not offer, despite being considered a more premium airline. What impressed us most was that, even after allowing passengers to cancel and receive full refunds, Breeze still operated the flight that same night. Many airlines might have canceled altogether, especially if the aircraft was much less full, but Breeze honored its commitment to the passengers who chose to travel. That level of reliability really stood out to us. We understand that the weather was beyond Breeze's control, so we don't fault them for the delay. Instead, we were impressed by how they communicated, treated their customers, and followed through despite challenging circumstances. Because of that experience, we'll absolutely give Breeze another chance in the future. Their customer service, kindness, and reliability left a lasting positive impression on us.

Had breakfast $$ and was waiting till I received another text that the flight would be delayed again; this time till 3 pm. WTF! 10 hrs. totally wasted. Changeover in Detroit and because we were late and the adjoining flight was on time we literally had to run in order to catch the next flight. Both jets were old and small and you couldn't fit your carryon in the overhead unless it was a backpack. Had to check mine so it cost me $25 more initially and again for the changeover. My bad was just taken at the gate and I was never told there would be an extra charge. That extra $100. in miles came in my statement in the mail later. SURPRISE. Finally arrived at 5 pm. I'm a 71 yr. old Vietnam veteran with an injured left knee that makes me limp pretty bad. I had a ball cap on with my branch of the service. It must have been the wrong branch because for some unknown reason at the boarding desk in Detroit I was asked to wait and then told to board last. ??? Due to Delta's inability to run on time, last minute notification, placing the burden to catch up on the customer and rudeness of their people I will never fly Delta again, so much so that I will go out of my way not to.
