They will rip you off. They sell cheap products and don't accept refunds. I do not recommend.

There's always something similar to find and getting lost in those aisles is addictive. An hour later you're walking out with paint, blank canvases, and an array of brushes to fuel a brand-new obsession. I spun a random afternoon looking for jewelry twine into a painting hobby which blossomed into a custom art side gig. Craft stores are magical and you couldn't convince me otherwise. Take a gander if you have a few minutes. It might turn into new hobby, or at the very least a new candle or two!

They were out of stock at two other Michael's stores. I had a hard time trying to rationalize the price. This week, they went on sale! I went into this Michael's rationalizing, if they have the haunted house, it is meant to be. And, if they don't, then, I just wasn't supposed to get it! Well, I walked in and they had One Left. So, I did what any good customer would do- I bought it! This is the best stocked Michael's I have ever seen. Even though, it is all self checkout, there was a nice lady there to help. Somehow, a new Fall sign, some cute critters, a Halloween ghost, and my most prized Lemax Haunted House all joined me for the ride home. Thanks Michael's, we are going to be all jazzed up for Fall and Halloween.

I wanted to continue supporting it for that reason and for its sense of community, but my experiences have been consistently disappointing. Yesterday was my final straw. I am new to sewing and come in seeking guidance on fabric selection and product education, yet nearly every visit is met with dismissive or rude customer service. The older representatives in particular often do not greet me and respond reluctantly or faintly when I ask for assistance. Help is provided, but it often feels like an inconvenience unless they are in the mood. Yesterday, when I asked a representative at the fabric counter for help understanding a product, she was short-tempered and instead told me they were closing at 5:15 p.m., despite the website listing a 7:30 p.m. closing time. The interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and disrespectful. At checkout, I asked for a bag for several small tools and fabric. The cashier said they were running low, and etc and tossed the bag at me. This type of behavior has happened on multiple visits and consistently dampens the experience. I truly wanted to like this store, but the repeated lack of basic courtesy--especially toward newer customers--has made me unwilling to return. I hope management takes these ongoing customer service issues seriously.

Perfectly salty salmon was melting in the mouth. My son said that fried fish was "even better than Irish." I also had shrimp salad and Danish meatballs that were equally satisfying. Ebleskiver - Danish doughnut was great with a bit strawberry jam. According to Eurostat, in Denmark there are 215 pigs per every 100 residents. This means that there are twice as many pigs as people. Great tradition in quality pork shows off as all meat was very tasty. Unfortunately, the beer was nixed few years ago, but there are plenty (food and Christmas decorations) to spend money on. This was my second visit and will not be the last. I wish there was some Danish music or dance in the national costumes. I was happy to support Danish diaspora in our region.

And this bazaar is the ONE chance every year for outsiders to join the Danes (in the greater Washington area) in a little Christmas cheer. It's in the basement... There are baked goods (you know, Danish), open-faced sandwiches, Danish beer (Tuborg) on tap, candles, Christmas decorations, wreathes, candy, delicacies (liver pate) and a raffle. Their are drawbacks to this bazaar: the traffic situation is aggravating (although there are Catholic Danes, it's strange to me that this bazaar is not at a Lutheran church). Also, much of the food is sold out by 1 p.m. (halfway through the bazaar) and to get really picky, the ketchup and mustard are not Danish brands (as I've said, don't get me started on Danish hotdogs!). Then, there are the prices. Four sandwiches cost over $20 and the Danish Danish (Kringle) was $12! Sure it's a lot of food and it would be pricey in Denmark... so, I take it back, that part of the experience is very much like Denmark... But, the signature dishes like the meatballs and the liver paste were a little weak. But, as the Danes would tell me, I'll stop kvetching now (to kvetch=at brokke sig), and say, "Merry Christmas!" (God Jul!)
