They tell me they cancelled my order and didn't have ny size. It was a one size fits all, but okay. Then they tell me they are sold out when I ask about other options. Okay, fair enough its the day before Halloween. The next morning I check online it shows they still have 2. Before ordering I call to ask, explaining That I had tried to purchase a costume yesterday but when I came for pick up I was told they were sold out. He took a moment to look and said they had one left, nd I asked if you they could hold it. He said there were no holds during Halloween and I could order it on line. I explained when I tried that they put my order back. He said I could order on on line but it would mess up their inventory. At this point its ridiculous, But because I'm desperate to take pictures with my one year old during a year when we haven't been able to do anything I decide to just try to run in, thankfully his grandmother could watch him. I arrive and inquire about the costume and its at the register, great! But wait! This costume is $10 more than the one on line because its for a woman ( totally not the employees fault but eff you corporate) I get to the car and pull it out to take a look, and it's a plus size costume, it should be medium. WTF. So I spend $10 more for costume that won't fit me, and that I can't return, after having to go to the store twice. Im going to wash and dry hoping it shrinks but Jesus Christ Halloween City thanks for making this whole experience suck. Fix your effing inventory, stop charging more for womans costumes, and if your manager fucks up have them use some common sense to make it right. 0 stars if I could. The girl who checked me out was very nice. The guy who I spoke on the phone with wouldn't acknowledge me.

My only problem however was the amount of costumes you can try on. I was only allowed to try on 4 costumes TOTAL. Not 4 at a time but literally 4 costumes TOTAL. I had asked the girl right outside of the fitting room if I can go back and get more costumes before I even had any clue that I could only try on 4 and she replied it doesn't matter but only 2 are going through that door at a time. After trying my costumes on I went back to look for more and came back with another one. She looked at me and said "didn't you already try on 4?." Me, confused, replied yes and she said no you're only allowed to try on 4 total. At this point I was pretty annoyed that I could not try on another costume. I walked away then and asked another associate whether I was allowed to return. If I wasn't allowed to try it on in store I figured I could try it on at home instead. Ofcourse the answer was no. This associate tried to be nice and ask her manager if she could make an exception for one more costume and the answer was no there either. I'm unsure how I'm supposed to purchase a costume then because I wasn't going to take it home and be stuck with something I didn't like and couldn't return. Needless to say I left the store empty handed. I won't return next year I suggest Halloween City instead. This place was also pretty pricey.

The item that I had stopped here for was one they did have, but the website makes it look better than it is and in person it was pretty terrible and cheap looking and 25 bucks for it so I wasn't going to pay that. Admittedly, though, they do have tons of costumes, makeup, and so on for you to create a fantastic alter ego. Employee was semi helpful, but she seem to be the only one so wasn't able to help much. (It was the day before Halloween.) Their website says they have parking in the back at the Montrose store. I'm not sure where in the back because I went to the back and there was a parking spot beside the one that I was in and then a UPS truck backed into the only exit, which is truly only large enough for a single vehicle (he was inches from the curb on both sides). So I had to wait while the UPS truck picked up a bunch of packages because the entire way was blocked. Luckily, that only took about two minutes, but I still wouldn't park there because who knows how long it might take the next time. There's parking in the front on the street.
