We received a coupon to this business at the Kane County Cougars game and it seemed worth checking out since I do various historical cosplay. However, according to their website they're only serving theatrical companies right now, with no end date as to when they may start working with the general public again? According to their website they also did/have done Halloween costumes, themed weddings, proms, Jane Austen Society, special effects makeup, and more. I went there Sunday and as soon as we stepped into the shop we were created. My family and I wandered around looking for a costume. If I needed help I got it pretty much right away. There is so much to choose from like fruit, musicals, old, and new. I found a really nice steampunk costume there and for only $55 I could rent it for 3 weeks. Love the building, but that's not super relevant. Came in here to rent a costume for a Halloween costume contest. The super friendly staff helped me a lot. When I walked in I knew: 1) I wanted to do something over the top. 2) nothing else. I browsed for awhile, got a couple pointers from staff, and finally found a starter piece - a top style I liked. I went all in on a dead Marie Antoinette from there. I must have grabbed 5 different variations of skirts and top pieces. I tried the basics on, found the best fitting items, and then... I got demanding. The undergarments are really the hardest part of just about anything as a woman, and this seems to get truer as you move backwards in history. The associate helping me literally had her hands full grabbing multiple petticoats and some stuffed panniers. I also needed A LOT of her help getting things off and on. When we figured out the best layering method, we both celebrated together. Honestly she was the best! Once everything was picked, it was a few minutes past closing. I looked at the total disaster of clothing I had left and did some clean up help while my rental was getting prepped and bagged. They even made sure to layer everything in order so I wouldn't mess it up at home. Super accommodating (I even had to call to change/extend my rental dates and they made that a breeze), great service in-store, INSANE selection, and not expensive AT ALL! I almost fell over when they told me the total. I've paid much more for much less lol When I went to pick up my rental, I also picked up some sfx makeup bits I was missing. They do makeup here on site with an appointment, and were helpful with tips too. Last but not least, in addition to the selection they have here, you can also have theater-quality costumes and items custom made here. What a godsend that is. Just awesome. We went here after a recommendation from our friend who rented costumes from here for last year on Halloween. We walked in and they were so helpful showing us all the rows and the possibilities. Once we decided on a theme, they began pulling stuff from the shelves and putting it together into a kickass set of costumes. Pretty much anything you can imagine, they have the costume for you. Prices were on par with buying a POS from Spirit or other Halloween shops. I will be back next year for the next costume! read more

Wow. So my company did a deal with this place for costume make-up. Guess who got to be the crash test zombie dummy? This girl. Laura was spectacular. So spectacular that I *HAD* to have my Halloween makeup done by this girl. A far cry from the creepy zombie makeup, my Poison Ivy makeup was equally as phenomenal, but waaay prettier! The best part about getting my makeup done at All Dressed Up was the camaraderie at the location. The staff is SO fun, it makes a girl want to get a job there! The laughing, the joking, the sassy quips made my afternoon at All Dressed Up more than just a get-ready-for Halloween costume block of time. Everyone RAVED about my stellar ivy makeup. All I requested of Laura was sparkles...and I got sparkles. Oh yes. There was glitter. LOTS of glitter. THE FRIENDLIEST STAFF AROUND! These guys were MORE than helpful when I had a last minute rental I needed to do so my work could make a quick video for some Youtube fun! And the best part is they were VERY helpful even though I was a last second customer and they were already overloaded with a full production play to get the costumes pulled for. We walked around for about an hour just picking out the best costumes and laughing. They LITERALLY have costumes wall to wall and floor to ceiling! It's an overwhelming experience and the fact they are inside the historic Campana Building is pretty cool too. read more

Great warehouse of a costume shop. Rentals only. In the historic Campana building ( https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Campana_Factory ), it is a wonderful place to visit even without a costume occasion. The hours are a bit odd: BUSINESS HOURS - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Monday and Friday: Noon -5 PM Tuesday and Thursday: Noon - 6 PM Saturdays: 10 AM - 3 PM Closed Wednesday and Sundays There's a great Pirate ship pickup truck float in front of the building that kids love to circle. read more

Great staff and a lot of product to choose from. If you gave the time to dig through everything you will more than likely be satisfied. I don't have time to make a costume this time and I needed a vest, although it was 40 bucks for one night it worked perfectly. If you have the funds I suggest them over other costume shops. read more

We had a very disappointing experience with All Dressed Up. We personally tried to speak with the management, Ben said he thought everything was OK and the owners would call regarding a refund of some amount, or even a credit because we didn't receive what we ordered. We called three times, no one has ever returned our calls. We rented six costumes for a Titanic weekend - we visited the store two months before the event, saw that there were items we could use, made an appointment for a month later for a 1.5 hours for selection and fitting....called day before to confirm, was told Ben was too busy and we had to reschedule for the following week, I said absolutely NO, this was our appointment and we would be there. It went OK, they had one dress out for me, but nothing else "planned" ahead. My husband went first since he had to get back to work, then we rushed through my fitting. Everything fit except all needed hemming and hooks changed. Paid 50% up front. My husband picked up the clothing because I was in the hospital, we left the items in the car and drove to Mackinac the next day. When the time came to get ready for our Titanic adventure I was I shock with my dress, Nothing had been done to it since I tried it on at the store.....other than put in a plastic cleaner bag. There were four separate hems on the dress, none of them the same!!!!! I had to spend 30 minutes and two sewing kits to get a decent even, without threads everywhere hem. We missed the first half of the cocktail party......and there was no headpiece or long evening gloves for the dress (fortunately I had brought my own headpiece, never dreamed they would forget to include the gloves!!!) The hat sent with my husbands costume was dirty and bent - he never wore it...Our Luncheon clothes were never worn, the skirt was too long and I wasn't about to hem it, so we had to miss the luncheon, and if you had seen the hat that was included - looked like it had been run over by many buses, embarrassing. Ben specifically told me he would find a big floppy hat for the luncheon, he didn't. Our final dinner aboard the Titanic - I had a lovely Worth replica gown - fit great, needed hemming (didn't get hemmed), needed new hooks for the connection of bodice to skirt - everytime I sat down the skirt became detached from the bodice......and the huge silver, very visible hook for the train, please. Well, I lost the skirt twice, went back to our room and safety pinned the skirt in four places to my bra so that I wouldn't be skirtless - again, no gloves, everyone wore gloves but me....and the headpiece was mediocre at best, again, I brought one from home that was much nicer and a much more professionally look. WARNING - BEWARE OF WHAT YOU SEE AND WHAT YOU GET.... WE NEVER RECEIVED THE COURTESY OF A RETURN PHONE CALL OR AN "I'M SORRY FOR YOUR MANY INCONVENIENCES". This place is just fun - tons of costumes, very helpful staff AND they'll do your Halloween makeup for you (I think for $25/hour). We've always had good luck finding Halloween costumes here and this year was no exception. Plus, it's very cool to visit the historic Campana building. read more
