I almost had a 4-star experience today... almost…read more Once again, I was in search of specific themed party props, etc. I knew no one else would have what I was looking for, but Party City always seems to pull through in those dire situations. I will say that I found almost everything I was looking for! I asked the help of a kind employee who just so happened to walk me over and point out the last of something I needed. Hells yes. Unfortunately the first employee I asked for help was an uninterested teenager too bothered to leave her "post"... womp, womp. After my great experience finding all sorts of great stuff (for cheap), I descended on the check-out. There was one, inefficient teenager (again) ringing out an older lady and was arguing with her over the price of gift bags. Then, that lead to someone cutting in front of me and then continued on with everything imaginable going wrong with the order. Oh yes, price tag arguments, register out of tape, girl waiting for new tape, girl trying to figure out how to insert tape, tape inserted wrong--you get the drift. 10 minutes later, the nice gentlemen who helped me in the first place took me over to a new register to ring out my cart (thank GOD.) I ended up leaving well before the old lady did. So, Party City still sits at 3 stars. They need to make sure all their employees are on their customer service game and not just one of them.

Costumes were pretty cool, seems like they were a lot more. Creative with costumes when I was a kid, it could be the fact that im now a 30 yr old man shioping for a costume. Hmm? That cant be, I still feel like a kid, may even act like one time to time. This olace was a good one to be at, had me feeling very feative to say the least. Other than the onky costume that caught my eye being sold out and bas custimer service. I walked out feeling quite pimpish. Huge, gaudy gold rings and chains to add to the brilliant red/zebra print valore suit (pics included) I purchased.

The Sequel: These…read moreare the other guys (see my Olmsted Ice review to get the DL). They did a fine job at my event back in May when it was an indoor venue flexible with hours and even days of drop off/pick up, so I stick with them when it was time to confirm a company for my next event - bad idea. "Oh yeah that shouldn't be a problem at all" they say two months prior to my festival, then one week before when I call for payment arrangements and even one hour before the first scheduled drop off. They actually do come through on the first ice drop, but when missing your second drop off means skunking 15,000 dollars worth of product (beer) because you will melt through all the ice - showing for just the first drop off is not good enough. The red flag went up when I call one hour before the second drop and they can't locate their driver anymore and start talking about servicing their multimillion dollar companies. I understand our order was only a G or so, but now I'm writing this one star review. In between locating a back up company and tapping into my backup plan (I had our nonprofit bag extra ice through the weeks before. Granted - this would never have replaced a 1500 lb. ice drop, but it did get us through an hour!) I called Home City every 15 min or so beginning at their scheduled 11:30am second drop (as I told them I would keep doing until they located their driver or at least confirmed something - anything with me) until 12:30pm when Olmsted Ice came to the rescue. I didn't cancel with Home City because it was over 100 degrees and they still never showed for the second drop. Its obvious their priorities are with high volume costumers so when planning an event, don't bother with them.

It is now mid-September and we still do not have an ice cooler or ice and I cannot get anyone to email me or call me back. They lost out on approximately $5,000 in ice in the next couple of months. I will never use them again.
