From…read morethe guy at the front counter checking me to the office manager Morgan was so welcoming and nicemy cost was a certain amount for checking my A C. for leaks, and a recharge with freon and when finished I left happy that my A.C. was now working and the service was great. 5/14/24 I called and spoke with Morgan regarding my A C. was not putting out alot of cool blowing air and he suggested to bring it back in at no charge. The same afternoon I took my car back to them and the Tech looked for any leaks or other issues but all looked good, Morgan wanted to check my cabin filter inside my car and when he pulled it out he noticed it had been put in wrong by the last place that had changed my oil which was Jiffy Lube. They had crushed it when the tech at Jiffy lube took it out and put it back in. Morgan at Ft Meade auto center ask if I could go buy a Cabin Filter and bring it back to him and he will put the new one in the correct way and he did just that and my A.C. has been putting out much cooler air, im 100% satisfied and will recommend this place to everyone.

Windshield wipers I just replaced, exhaust clamps that I had put on myself, and engine mounts that were "basically non existent". Speaking of the exhaust clamps when I got the truck back I heard rattling from the undercarriage, rattling that I have never heard before and i've been working on this truck for months (replacing the catalytic converter, changing the starter, etc.) When I asked the mechanic what that rattling was the best thing he could do was say "I'm not sure" give me my keys and walk away. When I got under the truck to tighten the clamp myself (Which for some reason was $25 when I can get it for $7 from autozone) The manager came out and gave me some excuse about expanding and shrinking. Since I've retightened that clamp it hasn't budged again in months or made a squeak. The wait was long but that was expected due to it being a vehicle inspection. Overall my visit was .5 stars out of 5. The only saving grace was the front desk employee who was a pretty nice guy. But my reasoning for writing this comes after having two friends go to this shop and also get outrageous numbers, one got $6,000 in repairs after inspection and another got quoted a $1,300 brake job just for the front. I really hate to leave bad reviews but please go somewhere else and save yourself the headache.

I called on a Saturday to ask for updates and the manager Herzel answered, and told me that the car was just coming out of paint and he'd send a picture of it. I was completely shocked to see the side that got hit looked completely new! If you want top quality work, from an honest professional who will absolutely accommodate you when you have worries, without a doubt come to ACI Auto Body. You can definitely tell that they care about attention to detail, and even fixed an extra dent in the rear that wasn't on the estimate after asking me about it, for a very small fee! More recently I had my alternator replaced, less than a week later my car would stall out when I came to a stop. After speaking with Connie she told me to bring it in. Das quoted me $584.00 (including oil change) to replace the alternator. I then got a quote from another auto shop close by who was $120.00 less. When I went to pick up my car, DAS charged me $52.00 to just look at my car (their "diagnostic fee"), when I questioned the charge they told me the problem had nothing to do with the alternator. This fee was never disclosed to me up front. Nearly all businesses tell you what fees and costs are associated before they touch your car. Apparently this doesn't apply to DAS. This place has gone down hill over the years, not sure if it's the expansion and/or the front desk person they now need to pay for but I've never had issues here until the change in mngmt. Stay away from this place or be sure to ask for charges up front!!! My sister also brought her car in for electrical issue with windows. After paying for repairs she continued to have the same issue a month later. When she brought it back they charged her again to fix it. They clearly don't honor their work! This is just a few of many other issues. Also they charge more for an oil change than the dealership!!
