I stopped in for a late lunch. My wife and I decided to try the walleye fingers and the chicken wontons. Both were amazing. The batter was very lite and the flavors were amazing. This looks to be a college hangout. It's very spacious and they have pool tables, darts and pull tabs. There is plenty of seating at the bar and there are tons of tables. It was a Friday evening get together with a former neighbor and we were in town for a Redhawks baseball game. My wife, grandson and I. Having spent some time in the military, my hearing is not the best, and we sat where the sound was the least likely to bother us, but it was noisy lots of glass concrete and metal. With a lot of people in there it was probably 80% packed. It was quite noisy for me. A lot of people talking about their plans for the weekend and just people decompressing about work. We got our meals and my wife ordered walleyed tacos without the ranch dressing and of course it came with the ranch dressing. Situation was quickly handled by the staff. Maybe too quickly, the fish could have been cooked just a little bit more. The grease (fryer grease) was old and sweet potato fries cooked too long. Most people don't know they are high in sugar and should just basically be cooked for a short time in hot oil. They cook differently than potato french fries. But there again old grease will do that too, make them taste funky. All in all with many other options in Fargo, this would not be my next choice, but I'm pretty picky and I usually don't write a review anymore unless I can enlighten somebody else to not make the same mistake. read more

I've had good food and good service here for many years. In the winter especially, the chili they have at lunch is really good. The chicken tortilla soup is also very good. The nachos are a good size group appetizer. For a meal, I prefer the wraps lately, but I've had everything on the menu and there hasn't been anything I didn't like. I get to Labby's every now and then. Being across University Dr from the Fargodome, I know it is a very popular place on Bison game days and concerts. The facility itself is a nice, regular comfortable bar. Plenty of seating and a nice sized horse-shoe bar in the center. A bunch of TVs if you want to watch sports. A pool table, darts and a juke box. The food is okay and they have a good variety of burgers, wraps and sandwiches along with pastas and salads. My preference at Labby's though is to go with the appetizers. The Walleye Fingers are very good and I've had those just as my meal. I've heard the fried pickles are good but I've yet to try them. read more

How sad I was when I got home and opened up my bule cheese burger and found french fries which I detest when they are soggy and not crispy and I detest them even more when I ordered Spanish rice place of fries... I have been to this bar multiple times and have always enjoyed my experience! Trivia on Wednesday night is fun and challenging. The service is usually pretty good. I have had one experience with a slow waitress here, but it was only her third day on the job. I went back a few weeks later and she was great! The entire staff is attentive and fast, even during very busy times. The food is good. The Asian Bombs were very good, but are quite spicy so beware. They have good onion rings, pasta, and burgers. We were here for my 30 year high school reunion. I have to give the servers credit that they found people (Who tend to wander about it at these events), kept the tabs open, kept their mood high, where always circulating around with nonverbal communication (thumbs up with a questioning look.) I ordered food and it was fast, they cleared away my plate the moment I was done with my crumbs. My taco salad had a minuscule amount of chicken and just that "bag o chopped lettuce" type lettuce. Very underwhelmed with it. Love that they had two women's restrooms. The music was way too loud but maybe that's the 47-year-old woman in me speaking? My voice is hoarse today. We were in town for the last day of Fargo Dining Week and the offerings from Labby's caught our eye. The Dining Week website definitely led us to believe this was going to be a nicer/fancier place than it was. Labby's is a strip mall bar and grill - make no mistake. It's big and open and has a ton of tvs. There's also shuffleboard. So one of my peeves about any dining week anywhere is when restaurants serve food that isn't actually on their menu or in their repetoire. If you want to lure me in and get me to want to come back, serving me something that's not indicative of what I'll find in the future seems like not the smartest idea. It also usually means the chef is cooking something (s)he isn't all that familiar with and doesn't always come out well. We ordered one of the two-course dining week specials and one of the three course. My husband's bacon wrapped pork was a little over-cooked. My pasta was delicious. The bruschetta featured a tomato jam/chutney that was unusual, but a good spin on the dish and a way to make it flavorful when tomatoes aren't in season. The meal was good, the server was nice and attentive and we watched some of the Stanley Cup, so I'm not really complaining. We had planned on having a nicer dinner than a sports bar, but we had cold beer and tasty food, so all in all, it was A-Ok with me. read more

This is probably my favorite bar in all of Fargo. The bartenders are all super awesome and it's just the place for after work drinks. Mug nights are fun but can get a bit crowded, and that's when it's extremely convenient knowing the bartenders, plus Ade is friggin awesome. Only thing that can make this place better is if they stayed open on Sundays for football! Great food at a decent price. Nice place for lunch, happy hour, or out late. The appetizer menu has more than just your normal bar food ( I love the Asain tostada). Very large bar with attentive and fun staff. Lots of new flat screen TVs for sports fans.
