So I went here for an oil change and honestly, I LOVE it here. This was the first time I went somewhere else for an oil change and I honestly never want to go anywhere else. I really am only writing this review because of Stephen and Morris. They're such pleasant people and literally made my oil change experience enjoyable. Stephen took the time to explain the services that would help my car in addition to the oil change without pressuring me. Stephen made me feel welcomed and comfortable and I'm just so grateful. I have not been given many reviews but I really had to give a review today. Today I had the opportunity of visiting this location and I had stop many times before, but because I wanted to give a real review and not just something based on a one time occurrence. However, this is getting drastically worse. Going to the vacuum cleaning section which is the plus for the company, immediately want to make you turn away and leave. It bothers me that in certain areas throughout the state the quality of the vacuum cleaners are much better in more vibrant areas than others. For example coming here the vacuum cleaner is barely work if they work at all. The power on them is so low that he can barely pick up a crumb in your car. What is the purpose of even being open? If the vacuum cleaners are not going to work after trying to win three of them we know that the power is within the person that is cutting them on we understand that there are very different levels of power. However, coming to this location it is consistently very low so you get a very poor quality of cleaning is when leaving. It did not want to make me go to even get a car wash because I felt like it was a disservice before I could even pull off from the first location to transition to the next. I understand the rise of inflation but to raise the price from five dollars to nine dollars and you see no reason why it is being raised, I turned and left. If you go to the Westville location, they never disappoint. Why is it that you can go to what area of town and get high powered vacuums and quality service and go to the other area of town and they treat it as if it's not even the same company? DO NOT GET THE UNLIMITED PLAN/ go to a gas station car wash. Their unlimited plan needs to be standard across all locations. Some locations have overhead scanners while most of the others don't. The handheld scanners are not strong enough to scan through a sun tint. After going to multiple locations and being issued more bar codes, my home location gave me a barcode in hand and stated that no other location should give me a barcode. Today I went to the Darien location and the manager stated that he will only accept my barcode in hand this one time and never again. Then he suggested I cancel my membership after I had thoughts of canceling because of the hassle. I am not the only one of my group of friends that have experienced this barcode issue. After each visit introduced its barcode issues, some forgot to shine my tires and even use wax....I have the highest/most expensive membership. Furthermore, the membership is largely cheaper at some locations so look around at the different home locations for the best price. Lastly, when looking to cancel, there is nothing online that will help so I assume I have to call my home location tomorrow. Never again will I visit a splash. read more

UPDATE: talked to the manager and he is going to rectify the issue. He said to bring it in this week. Will update my review once that happens. Car wash was okay. I told the attendant that I wanted the car to look spotless, as it was just driven cross country. They did a fine job on the inside of the car, but the outside was not so good. The tires were definitely not cleaned. The front of the car still had dirt and smudges (like I said, it was driven across the country so the headlights had stuff like dead mosquitos on them). I had to point out to the attendant that there were some smudges and she cleaned like two of them and left the rest. I understand mistakes can be made, but I paid $78 for every service they offered (wash, dry, carpet, detailing, tire shine, etc) and I don't feel like the exterior of the car reflects that cost. I'm sure this place is great but if you go, just be sure to check your car before you leave and make sure attendants do what you paid for. I had to leave because it was near closing time, but might go tomorrow to see if they can rectify the issue. read more

I'm not a review kinda guy, but i need to say this. i've been a car wash only customer at this place since 2017. All good. No issues and the employees have always been friendly. One of the employees taking payment for my car wash sees my dash covered in dust and crud and says "you know, we do an express interior detail that will clean all that stuff up.. take about a half hour". I take a sec and really take a look at my dash, cluster and center console and realize its just out of hand (i haven't cleaned it since 2017). So, I tell him yeah, i'll do it. I go through the wash and the crew starts on the car right at the end of the wash. When they were done cleaning, they brought it back to detail station at the back of the place and it gets even more cleaning. About 30 min later they drive my car up to me and the thing is freakin gorgeous. I get in and everything is clean. My weather tech floor mats look better than when i put em in, my seats are cleaned, where my kids sit is clean for the first time since they got in the car... its amazing. So what do i do? I drag my wife's car down to get the same treatment. This time i have to run to catch my daughters camp bus, so i just get in the car and go when they bring it back to me. While waiting for my daughters bus to come i start to notice that the detail job isn't as good as the one on my larger car. There are some spots that aren't as clean as i think they should be. Oof... i'm gonna hear about this from my wife... i just know it. The next day i go back with the car and the asst. manager Milton is there. I explain to him the great treatment his crew gave my Honda Pilot and then told him about some of the things that bothered me about the job done on my wife's CRV. He checks the car out for few minutes and says he'll take care of everything. He asks if I have time for them to do it now and tell him yes and I go next door to Dunkin to have lunch. Milton had his crew clean my wife's CRV from bumper to bumper. He even cleaned the doors himself. That damn thing looked brand new after they got done with it. We bought my wife's CRV used and it didn't look this good when we bought it. Look, things go right all the time. Its when things go wrong that you find out what kind of place you're dealing with and what the people there are like. This place is great and the people there did a great job on my car but did an even better job on my wife's car. New Haven Splash is gonna be my go-to place for detailing now, too. read more

I've always had a very good experience here. It's a little out of the way for me but the prices are reasonable and the service has always been spot on. The light show while you're going through is so much fun to watch. Minus one star because sometimes it can get a little backed up when you're ready to get toweled off (but they do a great job, especially on the rims!) and it's a little hard to get out of the place if you're turning left (two lanes of traffic each way). That said, it's the only place I'll take my car. read more

Wow the price for a basic wash went up almost $2 it cost $8.50 and when you give the guy drying of your car a tip you are spending like 10 bucks just for simple outside wash. Also the guy inside the tunnel who was guiding my car to put it in neutral was a idiot. He kept telling me to back up and there was nowhere to go. There was a car inches away from me. Friendly customer service. Got my car washed here and they did an okay job for a car wash. Although I got the wax option I didn't feel like it was done properly and water stains from a dripping pipe weren't removed. Not very impressed. A simple car wash and vacuum took over a half hour and they weren't at all busy. The exterior looks fine but it should since it goes through a machine. The inside is less than desirable but thankfully they have free vacuums so I can take care of what they didn't.they definitely need to find a way to be more efficient and organized. read more

Made me wait almost 30 mins in the front of the line because​ they had to count the money. In the meantime like 10 cars from the second line passed me because they "already had a ticket". Very disappointed​ with the service. Also every time I take my car I notice they don't dry properly the windows and mirrors, and I always have watermarks​. I spend over $100 to get my car clean. They did a bad job!!!! I took it back there with in 10min because the back seat was not clean. I have a 2009 car so it was not that drity. One of my kids put a stain back there they didnt get it out. And to top it off the did not even open the trunk to vacum!!!! A waste of money but at least the outside of the car looked good!! Got my oil change the did a good job!! But i perfer not to get my car there again!! Later that week i went to a car washh to get my floors vacum(because they did not do a good job) pay $10 and they did a better job. FYI i went back two times in the same day to ask them to do a better job and they acted like i was in the wrong!! Never the least i was over an $100 loss and my car just smell good!!! read more

Wow. Terrible service. Spent $30 and my dash and gps still had finger prints and smudges. The seats weren't wiped at all! It is the worst car wash I have ever gotten. Will never go back to this place. It feels like I just threw $30 bucks in the trash. I've had better car washes for $10! I would not recommend. GO ANYWHERE ELSE wow. Terrible service. These guys are great. Each time I have come to splash in west haven I have got nothing but the best. I highly recommend the five star high end detail they offer. Adam was very helpful and made my car look new again. They basically turned oil into water. I would recommend there high end detail to anyone. For 150 dollars you get a lot for your money compared to other places that claim they know what they are doing but really don't. Talk to Adam over there and he will get you right. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied in Splash Car Wash. I brought my car there when it was brand new. My car was one week old and the place I bought it from gives you free unlimited car washes at Splash Car Wash for 30 days so I thought I'd take advantage of it. They took my car in and it came out with a small dent on each side of my car in exactly the same spot and size on each side. I had no dents whatsoever before I brought it there as it was brand new and all I did was go to work and home (in my driveway)the entire week. The parking spaces at my job are very spacious and besides something like that with the exact same size and same exact area could never happen in my lot at work. Splash took pics and acted like they admitted it was their fault and seemed to completely own up to it. They said the manger would contact me. Manager never did. I had to keep calling and finally got the manager and they would not accept responsibility. I explained what happed to my car dealer and they repaired it for me at no charge, but I still think it was very unfair that Splash got away with this. It was very obvious that it was there car wash that put the dents in my car. NEVER GO THERE AND SPREAD THE WORD!!! read more
