My family and I are visiting from out of town and have come to this place twice. In a nutshell- it's falling apart. The lack of maintenance is apparent all over the park-- cement peeling off from inside the pools and lazy river, faded paint on just about everything, you can just see that this place needs MONEY! The wave pool is laughable, the lazy river I just wanted to get out as soon as I got in, and there are areas all around the park that are closed down. The main pool, lazy river, and wave pool are absolutely disgusting and don't look like they are cleaned out very often (if at all). There really isn't much to do here besides the big main slides and the larger pool. We don't like being out in the sun too much, so we stayed around 3-4 hours each time we went. There are no kids rates, everyone pays the same price for a ticket. So having one child unable to ride most of the slides because of her age/height, didn't seem fair to pay full price. (I have a 4 and 6 year old.) As expected with a Waterpark, it's being run by teenagers. The amount of give-a-damn is apparent how they don't really even pay attention when telling you to slide. Whether or not the last person that slid down is out of the way, they don't care. Most of the time you are asking them "hey, can I go now?" Because there hasn't been people down the slide in a long time. This place does have potential, but it's definitely not being utilized at this moment. I'd love to see someone come in and fix it up, it could be an awesome place! read more

Very clean, the water is always refreshing, and my twin 12 yr olds always have a blast. We got a season pass this year and it has been well worth it. The storage lockers are a bit pricey, especially since they do not have any small ones for at least a phone and keys. You have to get a $10-12 locker, or keep everything in your vehicle. I sent this email 3 times & have not heard back from anyone about my concern. I am reaching out again to inform you of the complete dissatisfaction my family encountered when visiting your waterpark on 6/7/23. My 22 year old daughter and 3 nieces arrived to the waterpark around 2p. They got to the front gate, had their bags checked & was allowed to enter the park. Not once did anyone stop them or inform them it was a maintenance day or the park would possibly close due to weather issues. It was only after they got into the water for 20 minutes that a man on a golf cart told them the park was closing. At that point my daughter went to look for another worker to inform them she wanted a refund because they were not able to experience the full park amenities. She spoke to the general manager Jacory Brown who offered a $51 refund not the full $100.11 that I paid online prior. He stated it was a $10 admission day. He said he made some kind of announcement about the park being on a maintenance day. My family was not informed prior to entering that the park was not offering the full service nor did they hear an announcement or see any signs. They would have left immediately & requested a full refund. They only stayed at the park for 20 minutes before leaving. She said upon leaving one of the workers told her there was no announcement made to everyone nor was there any notification to the general public. My daughter looked around everywhere for some kind of signage that stated a maintenance day or park closure but found none. This was a total waste of time & money for my family. They drove from Texas only to be disappointed and not properly compensated. This is totally unacceptable and poor customer service. I am requesting a full refund of the total cost of the ticket price below. If it was a maintenance day, the website should have stated such so consumers are aware and not mislead. Also, if tickets were at a discounted they should reflect that on the website. Someone please contact me ASAP. read more

Completely run down and not an enjoyable experience. Dirty water in all the pools. Swirls of dirt in a wave pool that has almost no waves, slime in the lazy river. Cracking cement and chipping paint in all the pools and slides, dirty bathrooms and just an overall bad smell to park itself; it really is so bad. This place has not been maintained at all. This place really doesn't even deserve 1 start honestly. It Is so run down and gross. Not even close to being maintained, and the workers are a bunch of snooty teenagers that can't be bothered to exercise basic manners. Dirty bandaids, weave, food, and wrappers scattered all over, including the baby area. Rusty metal everywhere, all the concrete is broken all over making it impossible for little ones to walk without multiple falls. Omg! This place was horrible. It smells like urine and puppies. Everything there was chipping, cracked or dirty. The Wave did not work because there wasn't enough water. You could see the ring where the water should have been. The food was disgusting. It was just all around horrible. We found this place on Google, being new to the general area. I noticed on the following Monday (according to their website calendar) the entry price was $17 per person so we decided to go then. We live in Texarkana so we drove 1 hour to get here. Upon arriving, we discovered the $17 price was only valid if you purchased prior. They did not honor it that day. After speaking to TWO different managers, they stated their website says prices subject to change. It does not say however to purchase tickets ahead of time to receive that price. Through another person in line, we discovered there was a Groupon-2 tickets for $42. We purchased that and saved some money. Why didn't the manager recommend that? We also found out through another person in line, if you check-in on Facebook and show them, they will give you unlimited drink wrist bands. Again, as discouraged, clearly upset guests who just drove an hour to come to your park at the $17 price, why wouldn't one of the managers offer this to us? I am 7 months pregnant so we really just wanted a place to sit in some water and stay cool. Splash Kingdom provided that. But I would NOT go back for the $25 ticket price. The park overall is falling apart. Roofs are all falling off. There hasn't been a paint job in statues, water features, slides in a good long while. Food is expected to be overpriced and it was. They do not allow you to bring in your own rafts/inflatables--you have to use their own. Except good luck finding one of theirs that has plenty of air in it. Most needed to be blown up more. The staff was very respectable and friendly although they didn't offer any solutions for us. We definitely would not go back to this place. Having been to a few other water parks around the country-this one was definitely bottom of the barrel. read more

Splash Kingdom doesn't look any different than it did when it was Watertown. The buildings desperately need to be painted and it's just run down. We had to do through a few loungers before we found one not broken. While we were there today, the Lazy River wasn't working nor the Wave Pool. There were two slides for the kids, that they did go down, but they weren't working very well. On the bright side, there was KLOVE (Christian) music playing. read more

Wave pool doesn't work right, half the slides are closed, the main food area was closed, and the lazy river was closed. When we asked to speak to a manager she refused to talk to us! I was really disappointed with this Waterpark. Going in I was told I couldn't bring in food. I am a vegan so tend to make sure I have something I can eat with me at all times since I am aware that not all places have food I can eat. So food was thrown away and we entered the park. The bathroom where we changed had doors that were hard to shut or wouldn't shut at all and one of the sinks didn't work. We put our stuff in the locker and headed out to swim. The water was warm...like bath water warm and grass and some other stuff was floating in it. Keep in mind that the park had just opened. When the wave pool area opened because for some reason that part of the park didn't open till 12, I noticed the whole park really needs severe maintenance. Paint is peeling off, cracks and rust everywhere and I could see dirt at the bottom of the pool. Again they just opened. Then my kids decided they wanted a burger. After about 20 min of standing in line in the direct sun because this park barely has any cover or shade, we got to the front of the line and ordered two (2) burgers and two (2) gatorades for my kids and of course nothing was availablefor me. It was $32. When I asked the girl about it she said that they only come as a combo for $12 each in whick you get the burger, chips and drink. Okay so $24 right??? When I said this she looked at me dumb and just stared at me so I just shook my head and handed her my card because my kids were hungry and I wasn't going to let them starve. They just gave the chips to some kids at the park sine they weren't going to eat them. Later we went back for icees and as the guy was making them I overheard a lady at the counter asking how much for just a burger and she was told $6. So apparently you can buy just the burger...smh. I was overcharged and lied to by this parks employee. My two other kids decided they were hungry and wanted pizza so I took them over to the pizza shack where again they didn't have anything I could eat, and they each ordered a slice of peperoni. When they got them one of the was about half the size of the other. Maybe it's just me but I do think the portions should be about the same size if your going to charge the same for them. They did have another food stand that I went to go look at but still had nothing on the menu I could eat. I would think that if your not going to allow anyone to bring food into the park you can at least offer something like a salad. My diet is because of health reasons and I had to go all day in the heat without eating anything. Fortunately for me they had to shut down the park early due to bad weather in the area. Disgusting and in disrepair. This place is not maintained at all. The staff could not care less. I wasn't expecting a lot based on other reviews, but it was hot and we had a free morning so we decided to stop by for a couple of hours. This place is so so so bad. It's completely filthy. Despite being the second people in the gate the bathrooms were already nasty and smelly, I can only assume they hadn't been cleaned from the day before. The grounds were full of gravel, rocks, sand and trash. Not ideal when you're not allowed to wear any shoes. The staff didn't seem to care at all. Broken glass on the ground was completely ignored by the lifeguards and staff even after multiple guests pointed it out. The pools all had piles of dirt, sand and leaves in the corners and a lot of gunk floating in the water. The facilities were in such a state of disrepair that they were verging on dangerous. The ground is all concrete that hasn't been maintained. I saw multiple kids trip over cracks and broken concrete. There were bloody lips, stubbed toes and skinned knees everywhere. There were other places where the concrete was worn so smooth that everyone was slipping. I saw two perfectly fit adults slip on these spots and fall. The staff seems to be bothered by having to be there at all. Our family purchased a locker with our admission and then found the one they assigned us didn't have a lock. When I went to exchange it the person helping me **rolled her eyes** and asked me why it mattered if there was a lock on the locker or not. Wth?? When trying to turn this same key in at the end of our time there the staff were so busy taking photos in the photo booth that I had to repeatedly ask them for help. When I asked another staff member where the showers were she told me she didn't know and to ask someone else. (Turns out there is one open air shower in the whole park.) The worst part was that nearly half of the park wasn't open. After paying admission we were pretty disappointed to be kept to two small areas. The closed parts of the park were not marked as closed in any way, so the staff and lifeguards kept having to chase people away from them, and they were quite rude about it. At least put up a sign? Or maybe tell people before they buy their tickets that most of the rides won't be open that day? Don't waste your money. read more

I like how courteous the staff is, and how attentive the the grounds keepers were with picking up trash, and how frequent they walked through an area. I did like the relaxed attitude of the slide operators, allowing guests to slide down in any fashion they chose. This place is NOT a park where you will want to go once during the season, so I was satisfied to have purchased season passes for the family, but I was expecting more for what I paid. The wave pool was uneventful, and one whole rock area is off limits. Many of the structures need maintenance (if even a coat of paint), and I was surprised how much residue builds up on the walls of the pools as the season wears on. It's quite gross. Went there a few time and had a lot of fun every time. The lifeguards are nice and respectful. Only 1 thing is making it a 4 not a five because the food is EXPENSIVE if you don't want to pay to bring a cooler in. I recommend coming here if you are in state or if it's a 2-3 hour drive. read more

How much paint can you put on rust before it finally gives up? Overall the park was fun for the kids, however, the condition of the place concerns me. Climbing the steel and concrete gantry up to the slides, you can see the metalwork is severely rusted. There are hand rails with rusted jagged edges, so have a tetanus shot! In fact, the rusted condition is so bad (look up at the underside of the stairs as you climb up) I wouldn't be surprised if this place ends up on tv following a disaster. Not sure how it passes any safety codes. It is filthy as well. There seems to be nobody on premises enforcing the use of garbage cans, as evidence by trash laying right next to employees who seem oblivious to it. Look down behind the big slide gantry and see all the trash thrown there.. Fun! Let's play a game called "where's the walkway." It's right there under that pile of foam mats, but be careful because if you step on them you slip and fall (I fell and watched others fall down on the mats that were just tossed in the way). I will never take my children there again. I was worried for their safety. read more

Very good for kids! Lazy river was clean. Just a spot or two with a little grass from kids. Wave pool was nice. They had small waves for small children. Slides are good. Might need an extra boost of water to fully push you down. Many ppl got stuck on the white slide. Lifeguards are stationed everywhere and actually watch you and the kids. Small Waterpark but it's good. Only problem is the ppl that come in. No respect for anyone and skip the entire line. Then you'll have your one group that is fully clothed. Going swimming in pants, shorts, skirts, socks....wth. food smells great. Same price or less then every other Waterpark. Check website to see character schedule. I honestly would not even give this place 1 star. We got there and noticed it was a lot smaller than it was before, but we continued to walk around and try to make the best of things. They took away a lot of slides & there wasn't a lot to do for older kids anymore. Not only did I go down the slide and get scratched, i noticed my hand was burning when i got off of it. There is now a large blister/numb filled with puss it looks like & two people who were with me got bit by something in the lazy river. One of the worst water parks I've ever been to! To start, the entire managerial staff sucked! No one was helping me with the birthday party I booked and accused me of being late, but I called (with no call back) to change the time when I was going to be there days prior. After that, I met a sweet young woman who was my birthday party host (She knew more about GUEST service and hospitality than anyone else there), she apologized for the confusion and served the pizza and cake. The pizza was not only greasy, but stale! The birthday party area has moldy tables and you can only use it for 45 minutes. NEVER BOOK A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE. The rest of the day, I managed to get scraped and scratched when riding every slide at the park. The wave pool barely worked and the lazy river water is WARM. Who goes to a water park to take a bath? Nobody! SUMMARY : In conclusion, never ever waste your time or gas going to this park! They are rude to customers and managers are rude to their own staff. The food is not worth all the money and the admission is OVERPRICED. You'll be better off driving an hour or two more to go to the Canton, TX park! Side note : Some former employees of the park mentioned that the managers are looking to ripoff customers any chance they get! The managers treat their staff like crap, like they don't even matter. The park just needs to be SHUT DOWN because after 2016, the park turned into a hell hole! read more

I purchased a Groupon for two and free drinks for 42 dollars. My son and his friend went to the park on Memorial Day weekend. They arrived at one pm. They checked in at the ticket window. They scanned the Groupon bar code and my teenage son and his friend went into the park. Less then one hour after entering the gates the park closed. Apparently they were on seasonal hours. The check in window did not tell them that the park was closing in an hour or the seasonal rate was only 16 dollars. They simply took they full priced Groupon day pass and sent them in. I called the the manager and she said there was a sign posted and they should have seen the sign. I asked the manager to return the forty-two dollars only charge the seasonal ticket price of 16 dollars and she refused. I told her that I was going to post a poor review on yelp and she didn't seem to care. I feel the staff could have been a little more helpful at the ticket counter. They knew they were closing the park with in the hour when they took the Groupon and didn't care enough about the customers to tell them that they would loose money if they used it. read more

This place has become absolutely disgusting. There was no toilet paper in the restroom @11:15am upon arriving. We had to wait 15 min just to get mats for the first slide ride of the day and 15 mins again for the second. There were mats all under the slides by the kiddie part. The kiddos got hungry @ 1 so we waited in line for about 20 more minutes only to be told they don't sell that item here you have to wait in another 20/25 min line to get that item ( it was clearly listed on the menu where we waited the first time). The same 2 slides that were not working last year are STILL not working this year! I need y'all to get your waterpark operational status together. read more

Splash kingdom in Shreveport used to be great but has really gone downhill. Just left there and over half the slides are closed and falling down, the slides that are open are in terrible shape and need to be redone, the wave pool truly sucks because it barely has any waves, the inner tubes are all half deflated or torn up, the mats for the slides are torn up, the covers over the tables are falling to pieces, and I could go on. At $25 a person you are being ripped off. They need to fix up the place big time. read more

Christians, um I don't think so. We have gone here for years and gradually this place has gone down hill. This year we purchased season passes in January as a gift for my daughter's b-day. Well then covid hit, ok not there fault I get that. The problem I have is they send out a message telling and every other customer to call the governor and tell them let us open, really? So they finally open 3 weeks after the initial start date did they send mass text for that nope. Did they offer any inventive for opening so late? Nope. Well I did talk to Christian who told me anyone who purchases season passes before June 10 when receive 3 $5 vouchers to use however they wanted! I know the least y'all could do at this point. So when I finally go to activate my passes bought in January 5 days after my talk with Christian I'm told ok how would you like those? I'll just take the vouchers well then some other girl says that promo ended yesterday. How convenient. Disgusting lazy river, no wave wave pool, boring activity pool. Broken concrete, beat up bottoms of pools. Skip this HORRIBLY run place head an hour down the road to HOLIDAY SPRINGS in Texarkana or even better A couple hours more to head to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls. read more

Ok... Pros: If you're hot and you want to go swimming, then you can come here and do that in a hand full of fun ways. There is a few different places to eat things like pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, all the regular suspects. 3 different sized lockers to keep your things in. And at $23 regular admission not to bad. People are friendly and helpful. Cons: There are no towels here at all for rent and the very small store that there is on premises has none for purchase. So you better bring your own or you will have none. Other than a few cabanas you can rent and a few small overhangs, there is not a single stitch of shade. Some other reviews had mentioned about rust, chipped cement and bad paint jobs so I had my eye open to that and sure enough, everything has 10 coats of paint on it and there are a lot of cracks in the cement and little bits of cement around in the swimming areas, including in the water that you will step on at some point if you are barefoot. While there are other things to mention if I wanted to be nitpicky, the last thing I would mention is that most of the slides do not have a lot of water and both me and my daughter left the park with skin burns on our elbows and ankles. (Let it be known that this was Sunday 05/22/16, the second day open of the 2016 season and it seems like if this place has been closed for 7 months for more that they could have had all these things fixed for opening weekend, which makes me think by the end of the season it will be even more tore up) To Sum Up: Still worth it if you are jonesing swimming and water activities, then this will cure your itch. Overall, you should have a good enough time here. read more

This is a decent water park with some nice features; however, my rating is two stars because of the very poor organization of concessions. I can understand having three kiosks for pizza, hamburgers/hot dogs, and chicken but having to wait over 30 minutes for a drink in these lines is incorrigible and could potentially lead to health issues in hot weather. Keep in mind there are no water faucets or vending machines in the park. This is one area they need to significantly improve upon. For a park with a Christian theme, this oversight is rather sinful. read more

Wanted to share with all how Hutton was treated today at Splash Kingdom. I try to stay off of my soap box but this is ridiculous. Hut has begged all summer to go to splash kingdom. Every time the commercial comes on tv that's all I hear. So today Hollin Simmonsand Riley Spencer were sweet enough to take him. When they arrived they realized Hutton was to tall for the kiddie slides so they went to the bigger slides. Because Hut is not a strong swimmer Hollin wanted him to wear a life jacket on the big slides. At the gate it says coast guard approved life jackets and water wings can be worn. They even provide life jackets at the park. But when they got to the slide with a life jacket on they were told he couldn't ride slides with a life jacket. None of the employees were kind or helpful. Defeated and frustrated Hollin asked for a refund bc they couldn't ride any slides to which they refused. Hollin called Trey in tears that her baby brother was treated this way. Trey spoke with the GM and he begrudgingly let Hutton ride the "baby slides" meanwhile she watched several children go down slides with floaters on and even watched a mom go down a Kiddie slide with no redirection at all. It amazes me that they were so rigid and unkind to Hutton. I don't think allowing him to wear a life jacket is such a stretch. We will never go there again. read more

I hope you are up to date on all your shots. This place is falling apart around itself. There are uncovered pipes in the concrete, the slides move in the wind more than they should, and the ladders are all broken and have broken concrete barely holding them in. The wave pool is a joke- what waves?! And the water level was only about 3 ft deep in the 5 ft area. The park as a whole is very dirty, open trash cans everywhere without bags in them and I don't think anything has been cleaned in years. There are not near enough life guards for my comfort either. The kids had fun but we won't be coming back. read more
