From the very beginning I was pampered with a hair counsel and custom hair recommendations for my hair needs by the wonderful Jacqueline. After some great conversation, I told her I'm in need of a hair specialist for my upcoming wedding. Jacqueline introduced to me Anecia Calma, and with her help I was able to feel both beautiful and confident on my wedding day, last October. Throughout the year of 2017 I worked with Anecia and she really got to know me and my style. We texted back and forth, yeah texted, as she learned about my likes and dislikes for the wedding. I was even able to text her a picture of my wedding dress, so that we can discuss hair styles and options. Honestly, I'm so happy I found her. She is the type of artist that goes above and beyond for you always. Together we had a plan and schedule for myself and all my bridesmaids. This salon deserves every star on this scale and more. After being completely let down at Saks Fifth Avenue... I found a High End New York Salon in tucked away in little old Indianapolis. I stopped into this Salon after a quick shopping spree at DSW. I had been having a hard time with foundation setting into my awesome new wrinkles, being 40 has been tough on me. Well, I explained to the Salon Manager Anecia what had just happened at Saks. She informed me that she was also a make up artist and offered to do my make up for me for FREE!! I was so ecstatic. She took the time to talk to me about each product and how I should apply it and where I should apply it. She gave me a mirror and let me practice while she walked me through each step. It was so nice to receive such excellent customer service after such a bad experience at Saks. Anecia also hooked me up with Martha ,who was a stylist there. Martha gave me the most beautiful blowout I'd ever received. During the entire service, she educated me on products and how to round brush my hair at home. I left this salon not only feeling great about myself, but I left with a brain full of know how. My search is finally over! Jacqueline(owner & stylist), was SPLENDID! I moved from Chicago to Fishers 5 years ago, and have gone to 3 separate salons since in Indy. I was not happy with their customer focus and the service outcome. I had one stylist in Chicago for over 10 years, and have been very meticulous about who can do my hair in Indy. Jacqueline sat down with me for 10 minutes to provide the right consultation for my dried, frizzy, and non - dimensional hair. She asked me several questions to ensure that she got a full understanding of what I was looking to achieve. After talking to her about my previous experiences, day to day struggles of managing my hair, she came up with a plan. I was on-board with the highlights and the hair cut. I told her that I am putting my trust in her...after roughly 1 hour later...""Voila!" I was a new person! Before I left, she discussed what I need to do to maintain my hair properly. I liked that she said its 50/50. She can do her part and I have to fulfill my promise to her by taking care of my hair the way she instructed. My first experience at Splash Hair Salon and Spa was one to remember. The ladies were absolutely wonderful to me and the other customers in the salon. Very attentive to all of us in regards to ensuring we had refreshments, bringing us magazines, etc. Let's not forget the massage chairs in the shampoo station? I've never EVER experienced such fancy chairs. I'd like to give a special recommendation to Stylist and makeup artist Nicole Walker. She is an incredibly talented young gal. I've received two blow outs from her which looked absolutely stunning. (one for a modeling photo shoot, and another to look extra nice for a date). I received an amazing scalp massage and conditioner treatment. I didn't want to wake up! Kudos to her amazing work on makeup. Each time Nicole has done my makeup, I've been more than impressed. She definitely knows my bone structure and plays up features that are deserving while camouflaging the not so great areas. Her use of color is also amazing. She knows what compliments my skin tone but remains true to my personal style. Highly recommend this salon and especially recommend requesting Nicole Walker. You won't be disappointed. read more

I had a last-minute hair emergency before an out-of-town event in March. I was referred to Splash by a co-worker, so I gave them a call, doubtful that I'd be able to get in on such short notice. Thankfully, the owner, Jaqueline, took pity on me :) and said she could squeeze me in the next day at 7:30pm (they closed at 8). When I got to Splash, even though they'd all had a looooong day and I was going to keep them there way late, I was warmly welcomed by Jaqueline's assistant, Brittany, and offered something to drink. They made me feel sooo comfortable and I honestly had the best time chatting with both Brittany and Jaqueline!!! Brittany couldn't say enough about how great of hands I was in and really set my mind at ease and built my confidence in Jaqueline! It was my first time there and, as we all know, it's terrifying going to a new stylist! Jaqueline worked wonders on both my color and cut and my hair turned out GORGEOUS!!! I never once felt like either of them were rushing me out of there...even though I kept them there almost 2 hrs after close! I have my second appointment with Jaqueline tomorrow and I can hardly wait to get there! read more

Great...except for Jaqueline! 10 women went in for hairstyling for a cousin's wedding. We all loved our results except for the mother of the bride. Her hair was styled by the owner, Jaqueline. Jaqueline was not only rude to my aunt, but did not listen to her when she was doing her hair. It turned out horribly. The bride asked for it to be redone, and it was...again horribly with even ruder service. The bride chose not to pay for that one service, siting the fact that her mother didn't get what she wanted TWICE and was subjected the the woman's rude comments. The bride did pay and tip well for all other services. No one gave her any problem about not paying for the one horrible experience and we all left for the wedding. The kicker-Jaqueline then called the BRIDE and left her a nasty voicemail message calling her rude, saying she should be ashamed of herself, and that she was going to file a claim on her for non-payment. She received this message right before she walked down the aisle. I don't care what the situation was-YOU DO NOT HASSLE A BRIDE ON HER WEDDING DAY! I urge everyone to find a salon that treats their customers well! read more

I went to this salon about a month ago. I was looking up this place to show my friend were NOT to go. I noticed that they had previous negative reviews deleted and feel people should get the truth. This salon is awful. The owner is rude and the hairstylists that do work there are so inexperienced and take way too long to do the service. I got my hair cut and colored there and it is process that should take 2 hours took 3 hours. I asked my stylist that was doing my hair how long it normally takes her to do a cut and color and she admitted to be a little slow because she has not being doing hair that long, but she does it at the same pace as the rest of the stylists. I heard the owner belittling one of her staff members while I was waiting for my stylist which was very unprofessional. I also saw how pushy they are to get people to buy items from their overpriced boutique. I do not understand how this place is still in business and why anyone would ever want to get their hair done in such a negative environment. I moved here from hawaii and decided to go to Splash Hair Salon. I went to Tristan and she did an amazing job. I got a brazilian blow out, color and cut. I went into the salon with extremely curly hair and after she gave me the brazilian blow out my hair was completely straight. My hair is a naturally brown and I had some red tinting that I wanted to completely get rid of. She did a phenomenal job on my color, the red is pretty much gone, and it was everything that I had expected. My hair is also pretty damaged and she's been helping me take care of it and get it heathy again. She spent time taking my opinions into consideration and giving me her opinions. My hair is perfect and I love her. I recommend Tristan to anyone and can't wait to go back to her.. She's also extremely sweet, and you can do she loves what she does. read more

I had a terrible experience here with Jaqueline. After waiting over 20 minutes past my appointment, I finally got ito a seat for my appointment. The stylist kept interrupting me, even putting her hand in my face when I was trying to explain what I wanted. She was rude, dismissive, and made me feel completely bullied about my hair knowledge. I am a new mom and was looking for a relaxing morning not leaving in tears feeling stupid. On top of that, the price was nearly double what other salons charge. Between the unprofessional behavior, lack of respect, and inflated cost, I walked out frustrated and disappointed. As someone who is obsessed with extensions and tried every single version in the book, JACQUELINE IS TRULY THE BEST when it comes to color and extensions! For my first consultation, she sat me down and really listened to the vision I had for my hair (no one has ever taken that much time with me on my hair). My real hair is incredibly short and broken off- not cute. However, Jacqueline literally transformed me! She is incredibly knowledgeable and so sweet! I recently moved to Indiana and was honestly nervous about finding a good hairstylist, but I couldn't be happier that I found Marisol! I asked for layers and a blow dry, and she absolutely nailed it. She listened carefully, understood exactly what I wanted, and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. The layers came out beautiful, and the blow dry gave my hair the perfect finish smooth, bouncy, and natural-looking. I walked out of the salon feeling confident and so happy with my hair! I am new to Splash and I love the salon its beautifully decorated and the staff is over the top.. Melinda Johnson is an amazing hair dresser and I just love how she cuts and colors my hair. I am typcially a blonde and recently had a few brazlian blow outs by another hair dresser that caused my hair to become dry and thinner. Melinda is an expert at treatments and offered lots of suggestions. She talked to me into going darker and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been to Splash Salon now twice. Each time I walk in the building, I get this overwhelming feeling of confidence from all the women working there. They all dress very nicely and the business is clean and well designed. My stylist is Caitlyn Biddle. She made me super confident that she could fix the damage I had done to my hair and still give me what I wanted. She explained every step as she went and made me feel like I had known her for a long time. The end result of my hair was way past what I expected. I went here after one too many uneven haircuts from Great Clips. I called in and they asked me a few questions about my hair to match me up with the best stylist possible. I saw Anecia and she was wonderful. She completely understood the look I was going for and provided some of her own ideas as well. It turned out much better than I could have expected (I'm accustomed to Great Clips quality) and I am very happy with my haircut. Splash Salón was an amazing experience. I moved to indiana 3 years ago and haven't found a good stylist that genuinely cares. Lizeth was my stylist, she was clear through out the entire process, she went back and retouch a stubborn hair section that wouldn't remove the green. Not only did she get my hair how i wanted but as well she treated my hair and it came out feeling so healthy and soft which Is most important to me. Update: while I had a great first experience my last few have been horrible with Liz. They make you sign something that if you are late they charge you but Liz has been over 20 min late for my last two appointments and never even said sorry. Today she walked in 20 min late and said "I didn't know you were in a hurry". Wow!! She also got color all over my cheek and and face today. The other people seem nice and the owner seems really kind but I would never recommend Liz to anyone. Very unprofessional. read more

I am not from the Indy area and found Splash Salon on Yelp. When I walked in to schedule an appointment, they were very friendly and accommodating. For my appointment, I had wedding designer and make up artist Anecia. She was very kind and treated me great on my special day. She got me in before my scheduled time and did a wonderful job. I was there yesterday evening around 7pm. The receptionist is really rude and barely wanted to speak to me. My hairdresser did a poor haircut on me, my ends are uneven. I did mentioned I was unhappy she told me it was the only way she new how to cut. On another note, when my hair was being washed another hairdresser decided to wash his hands in the sink where my hair was in.
