Well... I called over 2 days ago... left my name and number and that I wanted to schedule an appointment. No one called me back... Another interesting plus is that the business model respects all stylists as independent business owners. Their turnover of stylists is unbelievably low. You will find a new stylist here that is consistent and who enjoys where they work. For an initial appointment you can stop by or call in. They will pair you up with a stylist and from there on you will do all of your booking directly with your hairdresser. Be patient because it may take a little time to hear back on scheduling for your initial appointment. This is only because they want each stylist to be able to manage their own calendar. I came to this salon for a new cut and highlights, and Maris was my stylist. What I wanted was a layered look, but what I got was a disaster. The layers were uneven and drastic. imagine half short, half long, and all choppy. It was so upsetting that I burst into tears and had to call my dad for support because my hair was butchered. Maris, meanwhile, was so distraught she couldn't even face the situation and admitted the mess and HID IN THE BACK. She offered to fix it, but she was crying hysterically over my hair and over the entire situation. I attempted to reach the owner for a resolution but she didn't respond. This has been the most traumatic salon experience I've ever endured. My hair is damaged and the cut is a catastrophe. The owner needs to look at the cameras and teach her how to cut hair. like genuinely do not come here because my hair looks like i've been electrocuted. read more

I've been going to the same hair salon for most of my life. I knew when I moved that I would finally have to bite the bullet and find a new place to get my hair done. The Beauty Mark is fantastic. Very clean, friendly, and thorough. I had a color correction and trim done with Kelly and she did a fantastic job. She asked me all sorts of questions about my hair history, made sure I was comfortable with any trims, dyes, and any plans we made. We had a lot of fun doing it too. I needed to get a trim before family photos and vacation to clean up my dead ends and couldn't get ahold of the stylist I typically go to. I figured it was just a trim so I could probably go anywhere. I chose The Beauty Mark based on Yelp reviews alone. I called and left a message and heard back from Brittany Camp right away. She got me in within the week, which was great. Unfortunately the cut was uneven and I had to take scissors to it with my husband's help once I got home. I also walked out of there with wet hair. Instead of a flat iron or curling iron, which is how I said I typically style it, she defused it for all of three minutes. It was a mess. I had to go straight home to blow it dry, clean up the cut, and style it. I don't think I've had a worse experience at a salon before. I guess I need to be more patient with my own stylist or confer with friends before just going to a random salon on a whim. read more

Found Ashlie Sue's contact info on here and she is by FAR the best hairstylist I have EVER been to. Since moving to Indy in 2020 I was nervous about finding a new stylist to go to. I finally started researching reviews and saw that every raving 5 star review had Ashlie's name in it. If you're looking for a quality place for a haircut, this is your spot! I am always very impressed with the outcome of my hair. Even though I typically go in with the same mission (a trim and a few blonde highlights), it's always just enough to freshen up my look and I have loved it each time. The business is very clean and bright and the staff are consistently friendly and punctual. The hairdresser that I've seen on a regular basis is Audra Dedrick and she does a superb job! I visited The Beauty Mark for the first time last Thursday and had a wonderful experience! I'm the type of person who likes to stick to one hairdresser, but after moving a few times, I decided it was unrealistic to be driving 45 min- 1 hr away from home to keep seeing the same girl. I did a little research (facebook and instagram stalking) and found that Morgan was probably the stylist that would best fit what I was looking for. She was absolutely wonderful! Started with a texting conversation with me asking about pricing and sending her pictures of the balayage I was going for. She was upfront with pricing and was able to find me a weekday evening appoint that fit into my schedule perfectly. I found the salon to be very clean, friendly, and modern. They offered free wifi and beverages at the door and advised Morgan would be out to see me. I was sitting in the chair within the next five minutes discussing what I wanted. She made some recommendations based on my desire to keep my length. The caramel balayage she did on my dark brunette hair turned out awesome! She talked through my cut and made recommendations on how to grow out my bangs (still unsure if I should or not, but she just "nicked" them and showed me how to style them to help the process). She recommended some products that I should use to help protect my hair from damage while I try to grow it out. She also kept asking me how we were doing on time as I had told her I had to be out of there within 2 1/2 hrs. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back to visit The Beauty Mark and Morgan! I came in with a BIG change. My hair was way past my shoulder blades and asked to be cut all the way off. I have Ashley for the first time. It took 2 hours of cutting but I tel you in all of my hair cut experience, this is the best cut I have ever had. She took her time and it should she cared a lot. She did tell me she was OCD when it came to hair cuts. She was so awesome. I have had so many people complement me of how perfect the cut is. Just total strangers. After I leave this salon, I feel like a "million bucks", inside and out! I highly recommend this salon. I have naturally curly hair & I spent years searching for a stylist that didn't cut my hair too short every time. (Curls spring up when their cut leaving your hair MUCH shorter than the requested length,... unless the stylist compensates for this when cutting;) I left disappointed every salon trip for years until I met Katie! Katie is a stylist at The Beauty Mark & the only person I trust with my hair! (She's also the salon owner).
