Although I had no problem with Arrow/Slendid taking me to Westchester County AirPort, Arrow/Splendid left me stranded at midnight at Westchester County Airport on my return flight. The driver was waiting for me when I got off the plane, but left when my luggage took a while to get to the carousel. She did not bother to tell me or her dispatcher. Totally unprofessional. I requested a pickup at JFK for 4 with luggage. I called them from LAX to update that there was a 2 hour delay in our ETA. They said no problem the driver would monitor our flight. The driver calls me twice to tell me he's at terminal while we're still in the air. I tell him that I will call him when we come out, twice. He's there in a RAV 4 that barely takes our luggage and has me in the (very uncomfortable) front seat after he moves his junk onto our luggage. He said that his office never told him how many of us so it wasn't his fault but it wasn't my fault either (LOL!). Will NEVER call them again. Suggest you don't either! read more

Cab back seat cushion completely destroyed where you could see the inside white stuffing, that was dirty. I guess from overtime passengers sitting on it. Driver watching his favorite Indian TV program on his cellphone while driving. He did not turn on the fare meter like he is suppose to, then made up the fare he wanted to charge. Called this taxi service after seeing 2 different groups get picked up at the airport. I called and they said they don't pick up at Westchester county airport. I've used Splendid for a long time and they've always been great within the Harrison and White Plains area - arriving within at most one or two minutes when called or if it was set for a specific time, sometimes arriving 5-10 minutes early with a call or text to inform me they've arrived. I was in Rye today and needed a ride back from the area. Rye is a little bit out of the way of the main area Splendid operates within, but it's listed as an area that they service, and I have gotten rides to and from there in the past without issue, so I called. The dispatcher confirmed a taxi would be coming for me and then hung up. I expected a twenty to thirty minute wait, considering Splendid does not have many taxis in the Rye area, but by the forty minute mark I was getting concerned. I called up the taxi company again and told them I had called forty minutes prior asking for a ride from Rye and the same dispatcher from before looked into it for me. After a few minutes on hold she came back and informed me without apologizing that the driver who had taken my call had decided not to come and there weren't any taxis in the area at the moment. I said alright, and asked if there was a taxi on the way now then. Again, she said no and this time apologized briefly, but made no attempt to rectify the situation and I was left scrambling to find a different company to ride with. Splendid shouldn't keep a customer in the dark for forty minutes without bothering to inform them their ride decided they weren't worth showing up, and they shouldn't decline to dispatch a different taxi after. The behaviour by both the dispatcher and the driver was extremely unprofessional and despite my previous experiences with them I will not be relying on them in the future. If there's the chance that they won't show up, I can't. read more

This company should not be used by anyone. Their driver picked up my daughter at brazen fox in white plains and drove her around for an hour while making inapproprite comments. The trip is only a 15 minute trip. He was abusive and scared her. This is unacceptable. We called the company and they were not helpful at all. Never liked them, but tolerated it because you get what you get for taxi service in WP... until the other day and now I will swear off them! Needed to catch a train in a hurry called them 25 minutes before the pick up--on a Sunday afternoon-ie. they aren't busy and they said someone will be there shortly. Waited, nothing. I called- some girl picked up and a guy shouted from far away LAUGHING someone will be there. I said ok and hung up. Waited more-called again begging them to hurry because I would miss my train. hung up on me, called again, hung up on me. Missed my train, cab never came and all I can do is write this review so people learn to never rely on them. O--and a 4 minute 1.5 mile ride to the train station is 7-8 bucks and do ABSOLUTELY expect if you are leaving from the train station to your destination, they will try to pack the car with other people and charge the same-even though that would NEVER happen in NYC.Complete BS! read more

Funny how there are so many ill reviews about this service, because they are the ONLY taxi service I trust in White Plains. Once a month, I have to work at NY-Presbyterian's Westchester Division Campus. The ride from the White Plains train station to the hospital is always a little exciting...both in good and bad ways...because the miscellaneous taxi companies waiting at the station love to charge varying prices for my co-worker and I, and they REALLY love to not wear seat belts, go 15 MPH over the speed limit around tight city corners, and run red lights. Nothing like an adrenaline rush and pondering your own possible vehicular death to jump start your work day. Not sure why, but at 7:15 a.m., I rarely see Splendid taxis at the station, so we pick whatever we can. The way back to the train station is always pleasant, because the woman at the front desk of the hospital calls Splendid and I know I'm in good hands. Their taxis are always clean. The drivers I've had are friendly (or at least genial, which I'll take). Their rates are always consistent. I know it's going to be $7 every single time. They don't speed. They wear seat belts. They don't cause my life to flash in front of my eyes. Even though I feel bad for those posting bad experiences, every taxi service will have someone that'll give them a bad ride. It's inevitable. Still, after almost two years of consistently using Splendid's services, which amounts to approximately 24 taxi rides, I really have nothing bad to say about them. read more

I've had the misfortune of being IN several of their cabs, as well as enduring these speeding menaces on the local streets in White Plains. Like most of the other taxi operators in White Plains (with the exception of Greenburgh Taxi, which isn't quite as horrid), their drivers are a COMPLETE menace to anyone driving, walking, or riding a bike in the White Plains downtown area. Their drivers clearly do not know what "right of way," traffic signals, or courtesy is. They constantly lie and mislead about their timeline and availability, and apparently have so much business despite COVID and Uber or Lyft that they think it funny (literally laugh out loud) when you question their ETA. We will never call them again, and neither will the restaurant that tried to arrange the trip for us. We tried to give them another chance after many disappointments in an effort to support local businesses during these hard time, but clearly, the hardest thing for Splendid is service, honesty and integrity. We used Splendid twice from White Plains to HPN and once to return from the airport to our home. The single most important requirement for us when we travel to or from the airport is that the car arrive when the appointed time comes. Splendid came right on time all three times. I called Splendid Taxi 25 minutes before our train was leaving to make sure that we wouldn't miss the express. The guy who picked up said "right away". We go downstairs 5 minutes after I called and wait in the rain for a cab that never showed up after 15 minutes. We call them again and they said someone else took our taxi. That's impossible because no cab ever showed up. They never sent them. They offered to send another which came in about 3 minutes. We missed the express train and ended up having to sit on the train for an extra 15 minutes. We live about 1 1/2 miles from the train station so it is about a 3 minute ride. I have taken a taxi to the train station before with Splendid and the fare ranges from $5-$8 for some reason. I will never call Splendid Taxi again. Uber or another taxi service is getting my money from now on. read more

I occasionally have them pick me up at home, or take them from the Metro North station, and in every case they have been reliable, courteous, and affordable. This morning it took almost a half hour for the cab to pick me up. They were not busy so not quite sure why it took so long, especially since I was on Mamaroneck Ave. This is not the first time this has happened. Wish they would bring back the kabx app, their service seemed much more efficient then. And again today! When I called to check on where the cab was they hung up on me!!!!!!!! I extend both the drivers and dispatchers the every courtesy and have not even complained when various drivers charged me different fares for the same ride. This company has really gone down hill! I wish I could give no stars because this is the worst car service I have ever used. This review is not based on a single experience - it is the result of multiple failures on the part of this very poorly run company. Aside from the general indifference you experience from reception when you call, I have on a number of occasions been quoted a price from a drive from point "A" to point "B" only to have the driver charge me a dollar or two or three more. These were local trips in White Plains. Ok. No big deal - never posted a bad review - but frustrating nonetheless. What I thought would be the last draw for me was when I booked a ride ahead of time to be picked up the following morning and brought to the Westchester Airport with my family, and the car never showed up. We called the office a multitude of times after the pick-up time passed while standing outside waiting (at the same familiar location they had picked me up in the past [and any number of people who live in the Seasons condo building] a multitude of times). We realized after 15 minutes past the scheduled pick-up time and after all the calls which were not being picked up, that they were just not coming. We had to race to the airport in our own car and spend the money to park there for a week! They never called back. I called when we returned home to make a complaint. No apology was offered, much less any gesture made to address the couple hundred bucks they cost me. Total deadbeats. After that I swore to never use them again. We thereafter moved to Elmsford and I have rarely had the occasion to use a car service. Unfortunately, we had the need for one this morning to go from Emsford to the WP train Station. I called last night to schedule the pick-up and asked how much it would be. I was told $12. When my wife gets in the car this morning, the driver tells her $15. Now I'm not too concerned about the $3 dollars, but I am seriously annoyed at the way this business functions. So, I call the office on principal to explain the situation and the guy tells me "you should know that it is $15 to go to the train station" (as opposed to "I'm sorry our agent misinformed you..Etc). I've been on occasion. From north white plains train station to a 3 minute drive up the street, in the day they have the meters running and I pay just shy 6 bucks. I have no problems with that. What bothers me is at night they charge me 8 bucks as if gas prices go up at night. I'm tired of paying extra at night for the same fare. I will no longer use this cab company. He proceeded to wait until the cab was full before taking us to our various destinations. When I was finally dropped off, the guy said the rate was $30 and that he didn't take credit cards, even though there were clear VISA/MC logos on BOTH rear windows. I live in NYC but work in white plains so often use this cab to take to and for the train station. What a rip-off! $12 for a 10 mins cab ride. Not only that, they are almost always never on time, the cab drivers are rude and often try to rip you off. I have had the cabbies quoting me anywhere from 12-15$ for the same ride. Ridiculous! I've never taken the time to write a review anywhere, but feel compelled to do so after my experience with Splendid. I reserved a 4:45am ride to westchester airport with a very rude representative. I asked him to confirm all my information, which he did... reluctantly. The next morning, the taxi didn't show. I called repeatedly, but nobody answered the phone until 20 minutes later. The woman said there was no record of my reservation. She said it would take another 20 minutes to send out another cab. I was upset that they mishandled my reservation and obviously didn't care. In response, she literally hung up on me. I missed the flight and had to buy another ticket. Please save yourself both money and trouble by going with another car service. Awful! I was disappointed with Splendid years ago and I promised myself I would never call them again. I was forced to call them tonight because the weather was snowy and no other cabs were picking up the phone. I needed to be home at a certain time when my kids got dropped off from my ex. I called 45 minutes before I needed to be home and finally got the ok they were coming. Guy came, spoke to us and refused us because too much snow where we live. Funny... our area is the most plowed and salted in the area. We live in the same town we called from! Weather is not that different 3 miles away. He took someone else going closer and didn't even have the heart to send us another cab. He was rude and obnoxious and once again...I'm disappointed. All I got was a rude "call me the day before". Someone over there needs to learn how to answer and field phone calls properly. I avoided using them for about a year because of their rude and unprofessional behavior. However, I had to use them again recently (had no choice). Their rules: 1. If you call us at 6:30 and we show up at 6:35, you better be waiting or we will leave in less than five minutes. 2. If you call us at 6:30 we can also show up at 6:55, and you better be waiting or we will leave in less than five minutes. 3. We charge you what we want. In other words, we should be grateful that Splendid has agreed to drive us someplace. We better stick to their rules because they are doing us a tremendous favor! I would give this place zero stars but unfortunately that's not allowed. I call this place at 4:58am for a taxi to the WP Metro North Station. The guy says right away. So I'm waiting and waiting. I glance at the time. It's 5:11. My train is at 5:11. No biggie I guess I'll catch the one at 6:05am. I called to speak with the dispatcher. I call and get put on a nearly ten min hold before getting hung up on before I can speak. This happens 3 more times before somebody picks up. Says what?! I tell him and before I can finish he also hangs up. The time is now 5:29 and still no taxi. Nearly missed the second train. Will def never be taking that shit service again.
