He provided my name and the information needed for me to be able to pick it up at drop off, as well as paid for the part, shipping, and labor, $360. The owner (DJ) said it would take a week at most. - it took 3 weeks for me to get my phone back, a LOT of hassle, and I provided my own part. He was called 3 times over the course of 3 weeks, all less than 5 minute phone calls, and very cordial. When I and my boyfriend went back to inquire about a refund and getting it back after not getting fixed for over 2 weeks, the owner (DJ) refused, stating that it was not his fault that the company he ordered from experienced quality control issues and he was unable to obtain the part or fix my phone in a timely manner or the promised time frame. When I stated that I would like to have my phone back so I could take it elsewhere, he would not give it back to me, and accused me of "harassing him", when I stated that he had been called a grand total of THREE times over the course of 2 weeks, all very politely, he backpedaled. He then told me that if I could find the part to replace the screen, he would refund me what he had charged me for the screen, which was a total of $260 between the part and the shipping, Otherwise I would have to wait until he could procure a screen. I sourced MY OWN phone screen, only to not be refunded, costing me $360 for someone to put a new screen that I provided myself, onto my phone, a task that takes approximately 1 hour. It's been since 2004 when I built my last computer from scratch. So, I thought I'd do a quick RAM…read moreswap on two PC towers that were the same brand and close to the same model. That's where I went wrong, but where Mike at CDA Computer Repairs did right. These two towers are our primary systems. One has ALL of our pictures, that's over 20 years of memories. All of our kids pictures. Everything. So, it's imperative we get them running. Mike knew just what to do and jumped all over it. He had them done by the end of the day and was in contact with me for everything. He charges a very, very, competitive shop rate of $65 an hour, and even charges by the half hour which is something I've never seen a shop do. It's really great customer service! Something I admire, and is a "good to know" about how he runs his business, he is out of the door at closing. That's it. All calls go to voicemail and texts get read in the morning. Home is home and business is business. I admire that, a lot. Additionally, he takes recyclables. I dropped off an old Dell, and a network switch I had from my shop, and he took them in to refurbish. I'd rather see them go to his bottom line than see them in a land fill.
