He provided my name and the information needed for me to be able to pick it up at drop off, as well as paid for the part, shipping, and labor, $360. The owner (DJ) said it would take a week at most. - it took 3 weeks for me to get my phone back, a LOT of hassle, and I provided my own part. He was called 3 times over the course of 3 weeks, all less than 5 minute phone calls, and very cordial. When I and my boyfriend went back to inquire about a refund and getting it back after not getting fixed for over 2 weeks, the owner (DJ) refused, stating that it was not his fault that the company he ordered from experienced quality control issues and he was unable to obtain the part or fix my phone in a timely manner or the promised time frame. When I stated that I would like to have my phone back so I could take it elsewhere, he would not give it back to me, and accused me of "harassing him", when I stated that he had been called a grand total of THREE times over the course of 2 weeks, all very politely, he backpedaled. He then told me that if I could find the part to replace the screen, he would refund me what he had charged me for the screen, which was a total of $260 between the part and the shipping, Otherwise I would have to wait until he could procure a screen. I sourced MY OWN phone screen, only to not be refunded, costing me $360 for someone to put a new screen that I provided myself, onto my phone, a task that takes approximately 1 hour. My iPhone 6plus screen cracked while hiking. I had a day left on my trip in Spokane before…read morereturning home to New York so I reached out to iCracked based on the glowing user reviews. I received a text from George who said "I am sorry, I don't have those screens in stock, the repair is $375, most of that being part cost." In fairness he suggested I wait until I return to NYC but I wanted to place a review because: 1) the screen replacement costs $20 wholesale 2) the Apple Store is $129 to replace the screen 3) even in NYC, the most expensive places were charging $200 (although apple in NYC is also $129) 4) a DIY repair kit costs $150... I get it, they charge more because they come to you, however the part is $20 (nowhere close to $375) and it behooves them to have items for the latest phones in stock. Also, where is George getting this $375 price tag from if "most of that being part cost"??? I went to the Apple Store and had it fixed within 45 minutes while I was at brunch. After tax and parking it came to less than $145. Save yourself the $$$ and just go to Apple for iPhone screen issues.
