During that time he treated me not only fairly but beautifully. The staff is wonderful. When I have called and spoken to the nurse and appointment person for the doctor seeking either an appointment or asking a question they've either picked up their line or called me back promptly. Wade Steeves' care after my previous neurologist at Kootenai Neurology in Coeur d'Alene ran out of ideas to help me. The care I received from Dr. Steeves completely exceeded my expectations. He was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about up-to-date treatments and studies, and seemed to actually care about my health and finding a way to keep me as relatively pain-free as possible. I received better care at this clinic in just one visit than I had received in two years worth of visits at Kootenai Neurology. I recently received a Botox treatment from Dr. Steeves as well, and his technique was far quicker and less painful than the Botox I had been getting before for my migraines. When my OB/GYN found out that I have migraines and asked for a recommendation for a good neurology clinic for her to refer her patients to (as many women who suffer from endometriosis, as I do, also suffer from migraines), I was very quick to recommend Rockwood Neurology.

I try my utmost to be as loving, kind, patient, caring and useful with him him as I possibly can. Often I am exhausted and physically uncomfortable for my dedication. He has been diagnosed at the Spokane Mann-Grandstaff Hospital as having "dementia, confusion and Alzheimer's dementia." He is frequently quite angry and exceptionally violent for no reason whatsoever with ME. He has choked me, hit me many times causing bruises including on the head, shoved me, torn the phone away from me when I was calling 911, told me he "hopes I'll be run over by a car," etc. I have called spokane City Police to our home 4 times in the past 6 months and they have refused to do anything to really protect ME. They have taken HIM to the hospital a couple of times for treatment at the ER. Please know that I am 5'2" AND WEIGHT BETWEEN 93-104 LBS. My veteran is 5'8" and weighs 170 lbs. He becomes upset with me for no reason and refuses for long periods to eat or drink fluids to worry and spite me. He is on medication but it does not really help his issues. I cannot put him into a nursing home, extended care or assisted living for financial reasons, and because he is so combative and regularly angry and uncooperative. I am AFRAID of him and believe my life is in jeopardy whenever I am around him which is nearly CONSTANTLY because I am epileptic and do not drive, and have no way to escape him. I have no friends or family resources to turn to. Recently, when I was with my husband at the Spokane VA Hospital for his treatment for insect bites, I saw a poster with phone numbers on it. The caption read, " No Partner Deserves to Be Hit." It had a VA Hospital Phone Number on it, which I called the next day, leaving a message. The next Day VA Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinator of the Spokane VA Hospital, HEATHER HESSE phoned me. With all of my heart, I deeply and sincerely wish she WOULD NOT HAVE. In all of my 78 years, I have not encountered a counselor/social worker who was so terse, cold, completely lacking in empathy, uncompassionate, argumentative, hostile, and unhelpful as MS. HEATHER HESSE !!!!! For the sake of ANY client she may have a chance to interact with, she should NOT be working as a counselor/social worker and ESPECIALLY NOT a "Domestic Violence Prevention Coordinator" at a VA hospital !!!! She hurt me so badly that I cried.....something she handled with complete disgust. Furthermore, as a former law student who was required to extensively study domestic violence and work with domestic violence victims in providing for their needs, Ms. Heather Hesse's ignorance of these issues was, to me , absolutely appalling !!!!! Clearly, she just wants to collect her (sizeable) paycheck, and totally NOTHING else.

Everyone at MWOS was great from the moment we checked in. The receptionist was very friendly and discreet when it was needed. My nurse, Cathy, was awesome She took great care of me, again explaining everything she was doing and why. I needed some special assistance at one point before going in for surgery and she handled it professionally and, again, with discretion. She also took care to include my husband in all conversations as did everyone who talked to me before surgery. The nurse who took care of me in recovery was great! I think her name is Wendy. Made sure I was comfortable and coming out of it well. The nurse who wheeled me out to the car whose name I didn't catch was also very friendly and made sure I was moving correctly when getting into our Jeep. Everyone here was awesome! I highly recommend NWOS and Dr. Moss. I have not had one bad experience there with anyone and am looking forward to having my right hip done there as soon as I can.

I came for a consultation about an injury. I needed a doctors note to validate my time off request…read moreat work. The Doctor said she usually only gives those for school. I explained I needed it for my sick time request and she said to wait in the lobby. I proceeded to wait thirty minutes and had to request the two line note three times before they handed it to me. The nurse who took my vitals threw my arms around like i was a toy or something. They also ordered an xray when we already has an MRI. They also didn't offer to validate our parking but did for all other patients we witnessed checking in. I'm really confused and bewildered by the way I was treated. I also need to get a second opinion because she treated my obvious issues in the scans as non problematic. If you have a choice go somewhere else. people are just paychecks to this clinic.

My doctor referred me here to see if they could have a different outlook on the pain management. My first appointment we arrived early as requested by the staff. I filled out a few pieces of paper then waited an hour to see the doctor. Not reading any of the paperwork I filled he starts asking me questions I've already written for him. I see the doctor for less than 2 minutes, he hands me a cup to pee in and says "I'll see you in 3 weeks" My second appointment we arrive early, and again wait an hour to see the doctor. Dr. G enters the room and starts talking about headaches. I said, "I'm not here for headaches I'm here for facial pain." He starts talking about taking over my pain management from my PCP. I asked, "what are you going to do to help with the pain?" Dr. G suggests that we put a nerve blocker in my temple where the nerve comes out of our skull. It won't work because the trigeminal nerve was cut at my brain stem! Why is he offering an invasive procedure that wouldn't even work? Did this "qualified" doctor even read my extensive paperwork? I can tell he didn't read up on my case, even though it's my second visit. He wanted to take me off my anti seizure meds!!! Um, he's not a neurologist and shouldn't be trying to play as one. I got angry and explained a nerve blocker won't work because the nerve was cut at my brain stem. He gets up an proceeds to walk out. No care, no empathy, no compassion. Upon leaving I ask the staff if there is a more senior doctor, or one well equipped to take my case on. The staff explains he is the senior doc on staff. This is very sad and scary for those who need help and are in pain. And, have to deal with arrogant, pompous doctors. Do not waste your time or money here.

The whole operation was first class. Another huge positive: If you pay the bill on the day of service, you get a 44% discount. Even for those with health insurance, if you have a big deductible, you are better off paying cash, getting the discount, and submitting the bills later to your insurance for reimbursement, if you meet the deductible. They have signs all over about how they are changing healthcare model. Usually I am skeptical of such claims. But in the case of Rockwood, if this is the future of heathcare....bring it on.

After paying faithfully every month for over a year, I worked the balance down to $47.00. I missed one payment. They sent me a notice. I paid it immediately. The next week I got a notice from a collection agency. Rockwood will put you in collection over $47 and do so if you are one day late. They are very quick to turn things over to collection agencies. Rockwood Clinic is the worst.
