    Great pumpkin for the win!

Affordable and fun for all ages. Great place to enjoy the fall harvest festival. Pumpkins, games, animals, food, shop and soooo much more!

So disappointed by the strawberries this year. We have been buying produce from their store for years, but the quality has gone down. Last year we bought raspberries and a little bit later both my kids started throwing up and they were the only ones to eat the raspberries. This morning we went to buy fresh strawberries and got home and they were full of baby slugs! This is only 2 pics of the 20+ we found in the berries. They were all over. Besides disgusting slugs, half the "fresh" berries had mold or dark black lines across. The other half had the white/green ends. Someone needs to do better at making sure these berries are ready to go home with customers. We will not be back.

We originally tried to go on a Sunday but it was packed! The overflow lots were completely full and we waited on the road for 20 minutes in line before pulling in. Needless to say, we came back another day (Wednesday at opening) and had a much easier time! The food options are many, but some are cash only so be prepared. We snagged some fries and lemonade as a little treat before wandering through the pumpkins. My kiddo loved the big spiders and seeing the chickens - next year we hope to check out more of the kids activities and the maze. The gift shop was so cute with lots of themed items and delicious cookies. Best part was there was no entry fee! This was our second year coming here and it's becoming a family tradition for sure.

Such a cute spot in Yakima for a fall pumpkin patch visit! I found it on Instagram. We showed up on a Sunday and it was packed! Great food options, perfect pumpkins to pick, and different activities for all ages. I'd recommend getting the squash. We got some and made perfect butternut squash soup.

Tons of fun!! We've been visiting Spooner for 20+ years. We've seen it grow. This year there is lots to experience. First off, parking is organized and plentiful. Once you make your way to the farm you'll find tons of photo ops, a huge food booth area (corn dogs, brick of fries, ice cream, shishkiberries, coffee, and more), shops, pumpkins (of course) and..... the reason for our visit......a CORN MAZE!! We brought a big group and split up inside to tackle the maze. We're very competitive. The maze was easy to follow work the map provided. The theme in 2021 was Alladin. Loved seeing all the props inside. Mazers hunt for different checkpoints inside to mark off a gem on their map. We had a great time, some yummy eats and a beautiful day!!

Picked up their berries from the farmers market in Tacoma once, had to go back every Saturday. They are delicious!

    Fun!

Lots and lots of fun. The corn maze was by far the coolest thing ever. It can take from 30 minutes to 1 hours trying to get through this maze. We did it as a family and we had a blast, your given maze gem card and what's better it's Aladdin themed! So much fun. Additional cost. $36 for 4 of us to go to rough the corn maze. This place has tons of pumpkins and all kinds of pumpkins. Lots of parking. Muddy for sure, expect the unexpected =rain Food trucks, animals, pumpkins, food, cafe, and more. There's a lot to do here.

We were on our way to Lake Tapps when we passed by Spooner Farms and saw the huge pumpkin patch they have here! We had to stop by; it's the season after all. Since we were visiting in the afternoon on a weekday it wasn't too busy, so parking was easy. Once you enter from the main highway there are signs, indicating where to park at a large gravel lot. The lot is close to the entrance. After you enter you see the large pumpkin patch area, gourds for sale and a store inside with gift items and refreshments. However, the space is larger than that. We walked around and noticed they had food stands of typical carnival food with some food trucks, a corn maze and other game areas, ideally for smaller children. It's really a nice place, especially for families. The pumpkin patch had Halloween decorations, with huge spiders in the middle of the patch. Plus, you can't beat the view of Mount Rainier in the background! They have barrels for you to use for gathering pumpkins, which they have all sizes of. Lanes were easy to walk through and the patch is pretty spacious, with a ton of photo opportunities. Even though we visited in the day we did see some people go through the corn maze, with an admission fee of $7 during the day. But the farm has a lot more activities. There was music playing in the background and saw many different games, including pumpkin sling shot and a raceway for kids for a small fee. The gourds for sale were such great deals! Many of the gourds were two for the price of one, and everything seemed to be priced at less than five bucks, including spaghetti squash! Loved how affordable everything was, especially in comparison to other farms and grocers. They also had a unique selection, of some gourds I had never seen before. I would recommend if you're in the area to visit Spooner Farms! Located right off of state route 162, it's easy to find and there are lots of fun activities for the whole family. This was a fun side trip while we were in the area; I'm glad we visited.

Doesn't get much cuter than this.

The Good- A TON of pumpkins and assorted gourds to choose from, all sizes and shapes. Play areas for kids, food, games, corn maze, animals, free parking, decent prices for pumpkins. Lots of sanitizer around and yes, masks were mandatory. The Bad- Lots of mud. Could use some more wood chips to put down, especially by the bathrooms. Food, drink vendors were steep prices also. You have the venue and you can negotiate with them for lower prices if you wanted. The Ugly I know COVID has impacted business, but 10$ for an adult for the corn maze, and 8$ for kids??? An Adult is considered 13+?? That's insane. Shouldn't cost me 50$ to go through a corn maze with the family. 8$ per adult and 3-4$ for a kid is much more reasonable. The Skinny- Despite the higher prices, a good time for the family is to be had with a visit here. Big enough to fit a ton of people.

    Raspberries and blueberries.

    Are dogs allowed?

    No sorry.

Is there an entry fee to this patch?

No there is not but I dare you to leave without buying any of their tasty, Seasonal, fun offerings?! They have been our go to the last two years for Fall.

Is there good phone connection there? I have T-mobile if that matters.

Yes. Works well. I have T-Mobile also.

The ground is flat and walkable, though I will say the bathrooms are less than ideal: a bit hard to find and all port o potties (they were clean though!). Everyone was very nice and helpful, and the cost to attend and enjoy so many activities is affordable. We went home with a few bulbs in a pot from the nursery, and enjoyed checking out the cute store.

The farm is easy to find. Just follow the directions to the Puyallup stand and the U-pick field is right across the street. There's an outhouse behind the stand if you need a restroom. Otherwise, head straight to the U-pick area, where there's plenty of parking. The check-in is at a small white tent, where they provide cardboard boxes for picking. I went on a Saturday morning. They opened at 9 AM and charged $4.10 per pound. What I really like about this farm is how organized it is. Staff will direct you to a specific row of plants, and you'll use a flag to mark where you stopped picking. It was easy to find plenty of ripe strawberries and we filled two boxes quickly. It's hard to judge the weight by sight, but each box was probably about 7.5 pounds, since the total came to around $60. Two key tips: 1. Check their Facebook page for up-to-date hours and availability, since they change with the weather. 2. Bring cash or a personal check because they don't accept credit cards.
