Just follow the directions to the Puyallup stand and the U-pick field is right across the street. There's an outhouse behind the stand if you need a restroom. Otherwise, head straight to the U-pick area, where there's plenty of parking. The check-in is at a small white tent, where they provide cardboard boxes for picking. I went on a Saturday morning. They opened at 9 AM and charged $4.10 per pound. What I really like about this farm is how organized it is. Staff will direct you to a specific row of plants, and you'll use a flag to mark where you stopped picking. It was easy to find plenty of ripe strawberries and we filled two boxes quickly. It's hard to judge the weight by sight, but each box was probably about 7.5 pounds, since the total came to around $60. Two key tips: 1. Check their Facebook page for up-to-date hours and availability, since they change with the weather. 2. Bring cash or a personal check because they don't accept credit cards.

It should be noted that there are still some beautiful decorations and photo ops throughout the property. And, the homemade fudge was still a highlight. But, even those things were a bit tainted by the hordes of people and aforementioned prices. If we visit next year, we will definitely try to choose a time that is not as busy - so we can really enjoy what this patch once offered us - a fun, relaxed day of pumpkin hunting and classic treats. Pro-Tip: Avoid this patch on weekend afternoons in October, unless you (and your group) have an abundance of time and patience.

But, after unsuccessfully trying to contact them and a drive-by their location, I conclude they're out-of-business. Back when we lived in Auburn, several years ago, Agrishop was our go-to. So we called upon them again for this repair. Luckily, they fit us in, quickly picked the machine, did the repair with a full service and we had it back a few days later - and for a very competitive price! I had specified that all belts should be replaced; but, the tech found the deck belt to be brand new and recommended against replacing it - he saved me $$! And let me say this: every person we talked to, including the very fine gentleman who picked up and delivered the machine, were all very professional, kind, considerate and helpful. Agrishop did a great job, at a great price, they even saved me money, and the turn-around was quick, easy and effortless on my part. I'd give 'em 10-stars if I could!
