The reason I'm writing this review is because of an uncomfortable checkout experience. While we were waiting in line to weigh our strawberries, we noticed the staff member at the scale zeroing out the container for the customers ahead of us so they wouldn't be charged for the basket/box itself. She even explained it out loud, which we thought was considerate. However, when it was our turn, she did not zero out the scale. We didn't say anything at the time and assumed maybe it was an honest mistake. What felt disheartening was that immediately after we paid and stepped aside, she zeroed out the scale again for the customer right behind us. My friends, who are of Hispanic ancestry, felt very uncomfortable and singled out by the interaction. I don't want to accuse anyone of racism or say this was intentional, because I don't know that. But I do think it's worth sharing because these kinds of small differences in treatment can really affect how people feel in a space. Our overall experience was okay, but that checkout interaction left a bad impression.

We stumbled across it recently, and it was honestly one of the best random adventures we've had in a long time. We were back within 2 days with the rest of the fam to keep the fun in the sun going. I couldn't believe how much there was to do for the price! If you arrive before noon, it's just $5 for a day pass ($10 after noon), and the kids can easily spend hours there. Animals to pet (both in enclosures and free roaming!) Berry picking (bring a bucket!) Nature trail Multiple play areas Bounce house Water features to cool off in What really made it special, though, was the owner. She is one of the kindest people we've met. She even keeps clean swimsuits and towels in the shop that families can borrow for free if their little ones unexpectedly want to play in the water. Finding the farm was pretty easy and there is plenty of parking. I believe we got a little bit of a discounted group rate for our tickets, but even without the discount it's a fair price for all that is offered here. Our field trip guide was great (and patient) with a group of rambunctious 4/5 year olds. We were able to tour the whole farm and ended with a fun educational moment featuring floating pumpkins. The kids had a blast here - hard not to, as this patch is mostly just for kids! There's a really fun playground area with lots to do. Outside of that there are also animals to see and pet - they even took out some kittens for the kids to pet (and they're up for adoption!) There's also an indoor play spot with a corn pit, slide, excavation station, etc. And of course they have wagon rides around the patch which was a hit! They also have a little food stand with concession type food that smelled good, along with pies, donuts, and a coffee stand. Overall this was a great first trip here and we would definitely return with the family considering how kid-friendly it is!

I also bought some decorative mini pumpkins I painted in a style like Kusama Yayoi and surprisingly it took the pumpkins about 8 months before they rotted so I had an awesome little decoration for a long time! Fast Forward a year later, we had a surprise arrival and brought her to the pumpkin patch when she was about 7 weeks old. We didn't get any pumpkins this time around but still enjoyed some fresh air and taking a few photos and grabbing some fresh produce. The patch is only about 15 minutes from our home so we will likely be doing every year!
