I had no pain in my knee; however, I was in lots of pain from the muscle strain. Shortly there after I had my right hip replaced. Once I was up and running, I started with this terrible pain running down the left side of my leg. I went to my surgeon; they first took a CT of the knee to be sure I did no damage, then an MRI of my hip to see if I did any damage to the replacement I had in 2006. Nothing. Both in great shape! So now, I go to my friends at THE RIGHT CHOICE PHYSICAL THERAPY. I brought in my MRI report. They had been working on me to help with the pain. Well, treatment changed! She answered all my questions throughout treatment and gave me sheets with the exercises,( number of reps and sets to do for each one) that I use when exercising. During my last appointment we reviewed my exercise routine, answered more questions (I have a lot of those), and discussed expected progress. The therapist let me know if I have questions about my progress, I can always call. I appreciate that level of health care. I have been to another local PT group for knee treatment and I much prefer Sport & Spine on Cowesett Ave. The front desk staff are friendly and the therapists personable and knowledgeable. I would prefer to try aquatic therapy because I'm in so much pain from walking and they offer that service. So I've only been for my initial appointment and the young lady that helped me was very kind and very sweet. She seemed knowledgeable about my surgery and what would be required to prepare for it and to recover from it.
