We were in Ukiah for some business. After we finished, we wanted to watch the Notre Dame versus Clemson ACC championship game. We were looking for a place with a TV screen, lots of air (because of COVID), and some good beer and ciders. Sports Attic 2 is a fun place to go with friends. Not only that, it's the first bar that I've been to that is animal friendly. If you bring your animal, it needs to be able to be on good behavior. There were a couple of dogs that were very cool, and even a parakeet bird. Sports Attic 2 is community minded. When it's not Covid time, the business helps teams in the area (basketball, volleyball, and even cheerleaders). There are lots of things to do when it's not Covid time inside the building. There is a dart room, a movie room, and a bar that is handcrafted out of beautiful wood. There is even a sports mural in progress by local artist Lonnie Lopez. Now for you competitive beer drinkers you can earn a T-shirt, and even a leather letterman's jacket, by drinking beer in their Beer-A-Thalon. You and your friends can compete with each other. In fact, I met someone who as wearing a letterman's jacket that he earned there. WARNING: You have to drink a lot of beer to win a letterman's jacket! We enjoyed our time at Sports Attic 2. They're going to be building more outside covered space for these Covid times. So, you can grab some friends, and your friendly pet, and go on down to have some suds, and start earning a t-shirt.

Stopped by here on what I thought would be a busy Sunday to catch a football game. The bartender on duty was Tracy, she was extremely friendly...appeared to know most of the people already at the bar, but did not shy away from talking to us as the newcomers. They have a few beers on tap, as well as in bottles... I noticed a sign that said that they have mixed drinks with vodka and tequila, always a plus if you're not a beer big drinker. Their food menu seemed to be more of bar bites than an actual full menu but mostly every sounded good, we didnt try anything off that menu this time around, but possibly next te we will. From the outside this place looks a little small, but when you go inside there's plenty of seating at the bar as well as tables & as a bonus they have "movie theater" like seating with its own tv in a side room. I was hoping that the outside was doggy friendly, but it didnt seem to look like it was, nor did i ask, but plenty of tables out there with a tv as well. But as signs clearly state, NO SMOKING. Stop by & check it out. It doesnt matter where u sit, you'll have a great view!

Great spot to watch games and enjoy happy hour

Great happy hour specials on drinks and food. Some good selection of beers, including local Mendocino beers. Great atmosphere to watch live sporting events. There is some bar food available also. Only suggestion is to increase the type of food optiona available.

Always Trust the Gift Shop Lady. Always…read more We had just conquered the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse--which apparently requires climbing three flights of "not-quite-normal" stairs. After a morning canoe down the Big River and those stairs, we turned into ravenously hungry people. We asked the gift shop lady for food recommendations. Without skipping a beat, she said: "Patterson's Pub! If you get there before 2:00 PM, you can get brunch!" Challenge accepted. We took our appetites straight to Mendocino's main drag. They had a tented patio in the sunny-but-stubbornly-windy Mendocino air, but we opted for the interior. Good choice. It has the ultimate "Authentic Irish Pub" starter pack: Cool and dark? Check. Crisp draft beers? Check. Full bar? Check. The SF Giants game playing on multiple screens? Check and check. We successfully beat the 2:00 PM brunch buzzer, and the specials menu looked to good to pass up! Lobster Wontons (Pub Special): Gone in a literal flash. Blink and you missed them. Crabcakes Benedict (Pub Special): Hands down, the best this diner has ever had. The hollandaise sauce (which they kindly served on the side per request) was a lemony deliciousness! The Comfort Food Crew: The rest of the party ordered clam chowder (Boston), garlic bread, and a fried cod sammy with thin-cut fries. All around lip-smacking! The Liquid Refreshment: Paired it all with a half-pint of Scrimshaw Pilsner (shoutout to local Fort Bragg brewing). It hit the spot and paired perfectly with the crabcakes benedict! The "Too Spicy" Drama: We did hit one minor speed bump. One of the dishes turned out to be a bit too spicy for one of our sensitive diners (not me). The waitstaff deserve a medal here. They went out of their way to try and "de-spice" the meal. While my companion's tastebuds were past the point of return, the staff's effort and sweetness were noticed and much appreciated! . Excellent customer service. The Verdict: A wonderful, perfect meal for a weekend getaway in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. We will absolutely be back. Let this be a lesson to you all: always ask a local!

So once a year for two weeks,Russian River Brewing becomes the beer mecca on the planet-for two…read moreweeks they release their triple IPA Pliny The Younger. People come from from all over the planet to fly in for a chance to be able to taste this amazing brew each year and this year,I decided to join them and go out to try and get my hands on Pliny The Younger. The release this year was from March 20th 2026 to April 2nd 2026. So 1st thing we had to do was decide which location we wanted to go to-They have a downtown Santa Rosa location and a much bigger location located in Windsor. I decided to go to Windsor because I was told the parking lot was much bigger and the dining area has a larger capacity-not sure if that's true but was good enough for me. We left Sacramento a bit after 6am and we arrived in Windsor around 830am. When we arrived, there was already a line of probably around 75-100 people. So we just grabbed our spot in line and we waited until they opened up the dining area at 11am-Hoping to get seated in the first wave. We were told before we went out there that if we were lucky the wait would be from 2-3 hours and if we were unlucky it could be up to 6 hours. Well I can really explain it but the somehow the time flew by-not sure if it was the people we were in line with, who were all in the best of moods or if it was just the anticipation of doing something really fun. They were true pros the way they had the line setup-totally organized and they even have heat-lamps out there to keep everyone warm, while we waited. Well today was our lucky day because my buddy and I got seated in the first wave. The dining area was really big with so many table options, multiple rooms for seating available and they even had a bar area and an area where you could sit around a fireplace-like area. The wait staff was really awesome at this restaurant-each person working was even nicer than the next. How it works during Younger release event is like this. -They give you a wristband with 3 numbered pull tabs on it that allows each customer to get 3 pours and then at the end of their meal we are allowed to buy 3 bottles of the highly coveted release Pliny The Younger. The price point for these beers were $6.75 for each pour and around $13.00 for each take home bottle. While I was there I also had a taste of Blind Pig and Tempo Change-those were like $1.25 each for a tasting of those two beers. One thing I didn't quite have a scope of before going to this event in person was the high quality of food offered at Russian River Brewing. I made a double mistake of eating while I was in line and also making plans to eat at another place after this event. So I missed out on really diving into their pretty impressive offerings of food.I will for sure be doing that on my next visit-they had darn near everything you would expect a brewery to offer and it all looked so delicious. Well let's talk about why I was here-Pliny The Younger. I am 100% an IPA fan-it's always my beer of choice-So Pliny the Younger being a Triple IPA-I knew I was going to enjoy it.This beer historically is rated near 100 every year and this years release didn't disappoint. It was the smoothest triple I've ever had the pleasure of drinking and I've had more than a few in my day. This was the best Triple IPA I've ever had. Final thought-Was the experience worth it and would I do it again? Yes & Yes-my only regret is that I didn't do this many years ago when I first heard about it.I do plan on making this an annual pilgrimage.

They have the best selection of beers on tap, from local to Belgian styles, there's something for everyone. The service is fast and friendly with a lot of personality in each server. The food is usually great with typical American style choices, like burgers, wraps, fries, and great appetizers. This time I got the pulled pork sandwich with some barbecue sauce and my brothers. Got the kale salad with bacon. Both were very good. So many great beers, but if I had to choose one, it would be mind circus, hazy IPA. They have a normal dining area with table tops or booth seating, as well as a dog-friendly dining area near the bar that's also indoors. Outside, they allow drinks, but no food. Also a great place to bring your dog if you have one. Don't forget to check out the merch store before you leave for some clothes and beer for the road.

Had breakfast one day. I didn't get any pictures. But I had the chilaquiles with steak. There wasn't a lot of steak and the spicy potatoes were average. Also for me there was too much of the sprinkled cheese. Came back before leaving around lunch time and I had the grilled fish sandwich. It was ok. Not a ton of fish on the sandwich. For the area I'm sure the local probably love it. But for me it was a place to eat while I was in town. I won't be too hard on it, because if I was to go back I'd probably come again if I didn't feel like cooking.
