We stopped by late yesterday to get a new infielder's glove broken in and Mike helped us pick out an Outfielder's glove as well from their wide selection of options in the store. We are heading to Cary, NC on Monday for the USA National 16U Tournament and needed both gloves broken in before we leave. Mike says, no problem and will get it done for us. Highly recommend this local store for anyone that plays baseball at a high level, you will receive a high level of service from Nutmeg Sporting Goods......

They seem to do a lot of repeat business--there's always someone their greeting by name. That's really rare, but that matters to me. They carry a nice selection of current sneakers. I mostly get my Nike fix from here, since they usually have some really nice styles and color choices but they do carry other brands. I think I've gotten some New Balances here. My husband loves his New Era hats, and there's always something new he's looking for. They have an unreal selection of hats. We've picked up snap-backs, fitted hats and this one Yankee hat he had to have that has ear flaps. He wanted a specific colorway and I couldn't find it in the city but Mister Sports had it. I'll be a lifelong fan!

Mostly what you will find here are high end brands and the Rei brand is of good quality but if you're on a budget there is very little to be had here. With that said, I get a lot of use out of the clothing I purchase so it's more of a buy once cry once situation. A lot of places are moving to a smaller footprint and more online shopping. This doesn't really work well for me but it is kinda the way the world is turning. Most average size people will be able to find something here but if you are on the smaller side or for kids there is a very limited selection
