Was in a lot of pain and could not put pressure on my foot for weeks due to the broken bones and torn ligaments. Was certain I would not be able to walk normally again. Dr. Gonzalez read my MRI and said it was bad, but not that bad. To speed up recovery, he suggested a PRP procedure once the road rash subsided. Wish I tried the PRP a couple weeks sooner. Could have saved at least 2 weeks of very limited mobility and painkillers. Shorty after the procedure, I went from relying on a knee scooter or CAM boot every day to wearing regular sneakers. He explained the PRP is rich in stem cells which speed up the healing process, decrease pain, and reduce scarring. Highly recommended.

I came in with a herniated disc and a lot of pain, and I'm incredibly grateful to Arthur, Rowgie, Diego, Carolina and Billy for helping get me back on my feet. Doctor Menkin…read more Dr. Menkin is the absolute best and most caring and competent physician I've ever had during my 17 year old ordeal with a severe spinal injury. I had a 15 hour long spinal reconstruction surgery that was to be performed at JFK where Doctor Menkin found me a specialist who could repair my spine, a surgery that I had so much fear and trepidation to because another incompetent pain management doctor told me it could paralyze me and I'd be better off taking meds for the rest of my life! Who on earth would want to be on medication their entire lives rather than getting a successful surgery that could heal them? Doctor Menkin eased my anxiety and located the only specialist in New Jersey who was even capable of this treatment which required several spinal fusions and the team actually sewed my spine together once it was fused completely repairing the advanced and severe scoliosis that was a result of a horrific fall in a concrete porch. I was visually disfigured and in so much pain I couldn't think straight for 17 years and the insurance kept repeatedly denying my surgery despite the ongoing persistence from both Doctors Menkin and Dr. Conti my surgeon who are both colleagues. I wrote a terrible inaccurate review of Dr. Menkin when the truth was that I was in unbearable pain and unable to procure the surgery for two years. I'm happy to say that Doctor Menkin Never gave up on me!. Also the surgery was a Complete success and went the way exactly as doctor Menkin told me about, again easing my anxiety and duress. Now my spine is straight and I am completely out of back pain forever! But I have an old and very painful knee injury from a sports injury and before I even saw the orthopedic surgeon who is performing the surgery Doctor Menkin assessed my swollen excruciating knee and told me that most likely the meniscus was the cause and the cartridge was most likely worn down causing me horrific pain and arthritis. He was absolutely correct! This is exactly what my MRI revealed! I'm walking around nine in bone with an epic tear in the meniscus which is extremely painful. Unfortunately while awaiting the surgery I had a fall due to my condition called Drop Foot a neurological condition most likely caused by Lyme disease because I never had any such condition before until very sick with Lyme disease and trying to manage an entire host of heinous symptoms that were undiagnosed for decades until I finally got diagnosed in 2019 when I got reinfected with another Lyme tick. This is when I was at my worst and luckily found doctor Menkin who I credit with saving my life. His ample knowledge of the disease as it being an autoimmune disease and his thorough understanding of its many physical and neuropsychiatric symptoms helped me to get the right treatment and he stayed with me for six years now until I beat the disease and am now in remission which I never thought possible after being bedridden with the spinal injury for four years, four very long years that made my life seem unworthy of living even though I am a vibrant, beautiful, highly educated and accomplished woman, the pain from my spinal and knee injury along with the pervasive persistent disturbing and sick feeling that Lyme disease causes I just couldn't bare it any longer and prayed every day for my pain to subside and for all of the surgery I needed to survive so that I could return to the same healthy and vivacious woman that I am. I can't tell you how many times I just broke down and cried to Doctor Menkin who always helped me to get through it! For years and years he helped me from the kindness of his heart because I believe that he really cares for me, more than any doctor I've ever had. While resting, like I mentioned I had another fall due to Drop Foot and tripping over myself and tore the meniscus in my left knee and injured it so badly that now I need a double knee replacement that is scheduled for April.is probably be dead if it weren't for doctor Menkin!
