I was told to have a seat by the entrance door where customers were dropping off their dogs for the day. A man brought in his 2 Border Collies who immediately turned right and started to snap at our dog who barked back. Nothing was said to the owner of the Collies. He then dropped off some cookies and gifts to the staff and left. Still waiting patiently when a pug and a Doberman arrived and came up to our dog who again barked back. The woman who had the Pug came and apologized and she stuck her hand out close to our dogs nose and she tried to nip at her but did not bite. A few minutes later one of the staff approached me and I was told they would not take her as she showed signs of aggression. Mind you she was in unfamiliar settings with a lot of activity close by- how would most dogs respond? That was it, no evaluation, just an assumption of aggressive behavior. I guess it's all our dog's fault- not the the dogs of the regular clients. Did not even get an I'm sorry from the staff. We had this same dog board there overnight for a week one year ago- no problem. Condescending and rude behavior by the staff and clearly unprofessional. Moral of the story - be like Skippy the nerd and bring cookies! Will not be coming back and would not recommend! Merry Christmas!

But after a quick conversation with Sam who advised me not to, I was convinced to do the work with his help. Sam ALWAYS have solutions to different behaviors, that actually WORK. She's now able to find "place" and calm down when people come in, and is so much easier to walk. Training isn't cheap- but it's so worth it! We are going to do some group training soon, and on Sundays you can rent out the entire center so your pup can play and enjoy the equipment. The staff is so wonderful and they just love the dogs. Anyone who loves their animals know how precious every year is, there are way too few anyway without illness and injury cutting time shorter. Our lil Roo was only 6 years old when he was diagnosed and given a short life expectancy of 7-8 years total. Roo had developed both congestive heart as well as pancreatitis. Banfield Regular veterinary monitoring, preventative care along with low fat, digestive aid food and medicine not only keeps Roo going it also has given him not just years but quality of life. We really appreciate being able to go to PetSmart for all our babies needs; veterinary care, prescription food, treats and grooming, coats, silly costumes and yes, socks to sew onto his PJ's to make feet pajamas!

There was very little turnover and the store was always clean and everyone was great. Then, they decided to make a change and it has been all downhill since. There has been a complete turnover in their team members, the store is frequently filthy and understocked and twice they have closed earlier than their own posted hours. I'll assume the new GM is tasked with running the store into the ground and making sure the customer base is eroded...because no other explanation makes sense!
