I am not sure it had ever been cleaned since it rolled off the lot. It had stains all over the cloth seats, stains on the ceiling, and the plastic had been sitting in the sun and caked with grime. We got a quote from Ryan and he were very competitive with their rates. He really takes pride in detailing and had different strategies for dealing with different stains. He used his steamer and extractor on the seats and plastic. All I can say is wow, I can't believe how he got all the stains out and completely rejuvenated the plastic and interior. I should have taken before and after photos. The car looks brand new inside and I think it added $2000 in value if I went to resell it in this condition vs what I purchased it. I did what I could to clean up the mess, but believe me when I say that it was a MESS. I found Sonny's through Yelp and Ryan was so quick to respond and he set up an appointment with me ASAP. I scheduled a full interior and exterior detail with a carpet shampoo and heat extraction for the floor and seats. He was so friendly and professional and was also very patient with me while I confirmed some things with the resident manager of my building. The morning of my appointment, Ryan arrived at my apartment complex and we talked a bit about what he was going to do. The smell of the shoyu pork was still very strong and you could see the remnants of my attempt at cleaning. He explained the plan and it included deodorizing the ac system, too. Awesome. I left my key with him and he got to work. About 3 hours later, Ryan informed me that he was finished with the car. He showed me a picture he took of the spill area before cleaning. In the span of 3 days between the spill and detail, it had started to mold. Horrible! Now, it's like the shoyu pork incident never happened! What a relief! Ryan and his wife did a fantastic job! Without me even asking, they cleaned my engine bay, did my wheels, and carefully hosed down the exterior. They even let us borrow a car for the day while they had mine, which they absolutely did not have to do. We have had both of our family vehicles ceremic'd by Ryan. Just recently, we took one of them in for a touch up after one year - as he offers a 9-year warranty. We're very pleased with their quality of service and the ease of care the ceramic offers. We just spray with water in the early morning before the sun hits it, run a few microfiber towels over it to get the dirt off, then one wooly mammoth towel dries the whole car. Hit the wheels with some brushes & rinse with the garden hose. That's it- 15 minutes.

A couple of years ago, I had a mishap in my previous car where some tubeless tire sealant from a bicycle exploded onto my headliner: white latex-y substance dried on the black headliner. After searching the reviews, I set up an appointment with Joey. He took one look at my car and was like I won't be able to get that out. He could have left it at that but he offered me a detailer protip which worked out very well. Didn't charge me a thing. I knew he was an honest guy from that exchange. I bought a new car a few months later in 2024 so I knew that I wanted Joey to ceramic coat it. I chose the mid-tier Ceramic Pro package. The price was fine and totally in line with other detailers on Oahu. Set up the appointment by sending a message on his website. Joey responded promptly. Super easy. On the day of the appointment, I dropped off my car. Since he needed it for the day, I told him I'd just drop it off while I take the rail back to my side of town. He gave me a ride to the station. It was awesome. Later that day, he says the car is ready but I couldn't make it back that day so I picked it up the next morning. It looked mint. Very sleek, slippery to touch so I knew hydrophobic properties of the ceramic were good. In order to maintain the warranty for Ceramic Pro, you have to do annual follow up sort of maintenance details/washes. That's what I did today in Aug 2025. I contacted Joey and set up an appointment. I dropped off the car and he said he'd be done in 1.5-2hrs. He finished in an hour. The car looks great. Zero complaints. Joey is a solid detailer. The maintenance detail was priced decently for Oahu. No issues there either. I asked if he could do a quick vacuum on the interior which he obliged w/ the cleaning of my weathertech floor mats! He said he topped off the ceramic coating but, to be honest, I can't tell. The car feels slippery to the touch but it always does when clean. The ceramic pro brand ceramic coating held up really well after a year. PROTIP FOR THOSE WHO WILL DROP OFF THEIR CAR AND UBER BACK: Joey *had* a location in Ewa Gentry that still pops up as the *first* search result in the Uber app, so make sure you select the Kapolei location. May seem like a no brainer but I made that mistake TWO TIMES.
