WARNING: TO DO NOT USE "SPOTLESS NEW ENGLAND" First Experience: I am a very busy person and have little time to clean my home and often have to hire someone or a company to help clean. They did not do a good job with cleaning my apt. It was spotty at best... literally spotty, some spots were clean and some spots were dirty. Not to mention the cleaners were an hour late, and I did not even receive a call letting me know they would be late. If that wasn't enough, the owner Nick Dennis, was very unprofessional. When I talked to him it seemed like this was a joke or like he was doing it as a favor. Second Experience: Well, if you know me I am a man of second chances. I saw that Spotless New England was on buywithme.com and so I thought that would be a good opportunity to try it again, as several months had past I thought perhaps Nick got his stuff together. I WAS WRONG. Firstly, I tried to use my buywithme voucher however I could not get in contact with Nick again for 10 days to even schedule an apt. Finally when I did get a hold of him, I was informed that he could no longer honor the buywithme purchase and that I would receive a refund promptly. I still have not received my refund and Nick did not even apologize, offer a discount for any possible future services, or anything for the inconvenience. I highly doubt the validity of the reviews that say Nick was professional and that his workers did a good job. If you read them, they seem to be amazed at how easy it was to get in contact with him. Is receiving a reply the next day really something to be THAT impressed with? No, that should be a standard. Not to mention his workers did not speak a lick of English. Which is fine, I don't demand that everyone speaks English but I couldn't even address concerns about some objects they were cleaning and how I would like them to address cleaning certain areas. read more

After a shoulder injury, I was unable to keep up with my housework. A friend recommended Spotless New England and I was so grateful. After meeting with Nick, who is charming and very efficient, I looked forward to my house getting back to the way it used to be. My first cleaning was "spring cleaning" which included windows (I have 24 of them) and they looked like brand new when Nick and his crew were done. When I walked into my house it smelled wonderful. A subtle clean smell, not the stark disinfectant odor. I was very happy to hear that Nick uses Green products as I have allergies to many products. Nick has named his business appropriately. My house was "spotless" and I was very pleased with the work Nick and his crew had done.... right down to the little touches of the toilet paper folded into a point as they do in hotels. My personal items on top of my bureau were placed after dusting exactly as I had them. I was initially reluctant to get a housecleaner, but after caving to the wife's desires, I have no regrets whatsoever. Nick is fantastic. You expect a professional house cleaner to do a good job dusting, mopping, cleaning the bathroom, etc. These Nick does for sure. What makes Nick stand out is going beyond the basics. As mentioned by other reviewers, he is professional, courteous, punctual, reasonable, flexible, an excellent communicator, very reliable, trustworthy, and just a good friendly guy. Appointments are scheduled on Google Calendar, and we're able to transfer payments to his BoA account. Nick made several suggestions about re-organizing furniture (moving end tables, getting rid of a disgusting rug) and even made these changes (after getting approval) himself. One of his assistants made a huge effort to help move a stuck dishwasher, and made several good recommendations on plumbing issues. We're not slobs, but having lived for years intending to clean the apt but never really getting around to it, it is very nice to have a clean place (and a happy wife)! read more

I can't recommend this cleaning service highly enough. Nick and his crew are reliable and thorough, and Nick's commitment to customer satisfaction is unmatched. I really appreciate the professional way in which Nick schedules cleanings via Google calendar, and even reminds you that he's coming a day or two beforehand via text message. I was somewhat hesitant at first to let "strangers" into my apartment when I wasn't home, especially because I have a cat which I was worried might get out if the door was left open, but after I met Nick and his crew, I felt completely comfortable. And nothing has happened to change that - everything is always where it should be after a cleaning - including kitty! The one time I was slightly less than fully satisfied with a cleaning, Nick was AMAZING about rectifying the situation, sending someone back to my apartment the very next day (since I only discovered the issue when I got home late the day of the cleaning). I love the crew at Spotless New England. They are trustworthy, efficient, and their cleaning crew does a fantastic job and I have two very large furry dogs. They've been cleaning my Boston condo for close to one year, and are fantastic. I like that they use eco friendly products, and also offer a dog walking/sitter service. Gab is just the best with my two very shy rescue dogs. He is patient with Charlie, who can run and hide, and Bella , who can sometimes be yappy. I prefer that my two dogs go on solo walks with Gab, as typically, my dogs don't behave well in groups. But, because Gab is patient and understanding, he's gotten the dogs to trust him, and on occasion, Charlie and Bella will go on group walks. This is just to say Gab is wonderful with all types of dogs, not just purebreds but rescue mixed breeds as well. Several other dog walkers have refused to work with my two, only because I am very cautious on who walks my dogs, but Gab goes over and above what is needed to make sure the dogs are happy and safe. love this company and its staff!!! read more

With the holidays coming up and a particular busy schedule between work, school, and wedding planning, we wanted to treat ourselves with our first cleaning service. We also were hosting a party in a few days time and Nick was able to come to the house, give us a quote and schedule the service all within 48 hours. So far so good. Then the team showed up and they simply did an amazing job. The Ms. came home from work and almost squealed. For the rest of the night as she was moving around the apartment she would find a new thing (baseboards, tops of pictures, etc) that had been cleaned and which we probably haven't cleaned since we moved in (2+ yrs). They even moved the couch and cleaned behind it. The towel folding was a nice touch as well. Absolutely A+ rating. We just signed up for regular service and can't wait to have them come again. Also, a note about Nick. He is very friendly and works well with technology. Simply said, we love coming home after they have been there. They are trustworthy & meticulous! Spotless New England has been cleaning our flat in Back Bay for over a year now and they continuously meet or exceed our expectations. I give them high marks in their attention to detail. They regularly clean the chandeliers so they sparkle, they remove everything from the shelves to properly dust, and they wipe down all of the ornate moldings and wood work, even the crown molding that borders our 12 foot ceilings. Plus, my wife loves the little origami creations they make to add a nice finishing touch to the paper products. As soon as you walk in the door, it's obvious that Nick and the guys have been there. Everything shines, from the wood floors to the subway tiles in the bathrooms; they take great pride in their work. It was important to us to hire someone who respects our investments, whether it's our home or our furniture, as much as we do. Nick and the guys maintain our home like true professionals. I have never used a cleaning service before, but I contacted Nick to do a "move in" cleaning of our new house. Nick's website is very thorough and he also communicates over email, which was very helpful in settling on a price, date, and time for the cleaning. The day before the cleaning, he called to confirm the time. I was at the house a few hours before the scheduled time when he gave me a call again. He said that if I would prefer, his crew could be at my house earlier than scheduled. Earlier was much better for me, and it was incredibly helpful that he called to move the time up a bit. Mike and Sam showed up shortly thereafter and did a fantastic job on the house. They worked quickly but were very thorough, and everything smelled new and clean when they were finished. The kitchen and bathroom were especially well done (compared to their state before the cleaning). Although I've never used cleaning services before, I'm now tempted to hire Nick and his crew to clean my house regularly. They do a much better job than I do! read more

Nick and the crew from Spotless always do an incredibly thorough and professional job. His crew cleans for my family every other week and I love coming home to my house after I know they have been there. Nick always lets you know when they are coming, if they are running late, and the timeframe to expect them in. When we moved recently, he sent over a larger crew to make sure our apartment was absolutely spotless before the final walk-through. His crew had pulled out the stove to clean behind that, cleaned all the food out of the refrigerator, and wiped down the interior of all the cabinets. Nick even stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. You can't beat customer service like that! We have tried many different cleaning crews in Boston and couldn't be happier with Spotless. The staff are hard-working, polite, and accommodating. Any time I need to make a last-minute change or request, it is never any problem at all. I have already recommended them to all of my friends. I was looking for a new house cleaner to clean my apartment as the last one I had recently hired did not work out. I was a little hesitant, and not sure if I could find one I liked or trusted, but read some reviews for Spotless New England on yelp and thought I'd give Nick a call. I quickly scheduled a free consultation, and was immediately impressed by how professional and thorough he was with his initial evaluation; I was very excited to schedule the first cleaning. He came for the first cleaning yesterday and was on time with a team of professionals, and did an excellent job! My apartment looks sparkling clean, and I feel even better about it since he uses green products. I'd have to say, what impressed me the most was hearing from Nick later on in the day asking for my feedback. I can't comment on the quality of the cleaning job, because Nick never showed up for the initial appointment. It is completely unacceptable that Nick did not show up to a scheduled appointment. Perhaps he doesn't realize that his prospective clients have day jobs and take time off from their work to meet with him. The appointment was confirmed by Nick the day prior via SMS. 2 hours after the scheduled time of the appointment I received an apology via SMS. The claimed reason? Two employees called in sick earlier in the day. It is not clear why Nick could not extend the professional courtesy to notify me at the time that he would not make our appointment later in the day. I have no interest in hiring someone with this level of professionalism. For those of you who are considering his services, I would advise you to confirm your appointments with him multiple times, as he is unable to notify clients of changes to his schedule. read more

Nick and his team have been cleaning our 2 floor (2 bed, 2 full bath) condo in Cambridge for about a year now. (We originally did it to ease some stress during wedding planning....) Here we are, 5 months post-nuptials and we cannot let them go! Nick's team has been very efficient and helpful while they've been cleaning. While there have been a few blips in service not being spectacular (understandable), whenever I've brought an issue to their attention, it has been remedied on their next visit. I also love that this is a local business, not a huge organization (ahem, Merry Maids) with a reputation for rapid staff turnover. Notably, the team is also *great* with our golden retriever. The dog always seems happy as can be after a cleaning day (they even put his toys in his toy box). WOW!!! We just got home after having Spotless NE clean our house this morning...and all we can say is WOW. Our 2 bedroom condo is amazingly clean! Nick stopped by our house about we b4 the first cleaning and walked us through each room of our condo to see if there was anything special we needed cleaned. He told us what his team typically does and since its more than we usually do I was happy! He emailed us a quote the next day and week booked a once monthly cleaning. Two members of Nick's team came to clean our condo, Cannan & Marlo. They were really friendly and did a very very thorough job. My husband was here for the first hour or so and was very impressed at the job they did. Also i LOVE that Nick communicate via text & email invites. I just moved to Boston. I asked my daughter regarding house cleaning service and she told told me, i know you, Mom, I will find you the best in Boston. She declined to recommend her own cleaning lady. She recommended Spotless New England. I had cleaning service for over 30 years, it always started well and then started sliding. However, i noticed Nick, the owner of Spotless New England is unique, he trains his workers in house and on the job. This is hands on management. I rarely see such working ethics striving to be the best he can be. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He goes work with his crew to teach, to watch their performance. I have hired Nick Dennis/Spotless New England to clean our rental condo in Provincetown and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Nick is a really nice guy and has been extremely responsive and accommodating when we get extra bookings. One of our Airbnb reviews explicitly mentions that the place appears to be professionally cleaned. The option to take care of the laundry is a nice perk. Other cleaning companies I had contacted either required renting linens from them or contracting with a laundry service. Moreover, they charged extra to strip and make the beds while Spotless New England's price is all inclusive. The option to pay through the Venmo app has worked great for me as it further accommodates last minute bookings. Spotless New England has been consistently flexible, reliable and professional. My non-profit organization occupies three brownstones, which involves a lot of cleaning, but Nick and his team have been doing a great job taking on this large task. They are super friendly and easy to work with as well as very reliable. Nick has been very flexible in scheduling and open to any of my suggestions or changes. They are professional and good at what they do! I love that they use green cleaning products and even clean spots or notice dust/dirt in areas I wouldn't have found. My place of business is looking world's better from the way it looked when they first started. Nick and his teams have been cleaning my condo in the South End every other week for almost two years. PROS: they schedule the visit and send me a meeting maker, text the day before coming to remind me, always show up, flexible with the schedule when necessary, and clean well. Nick is easy to reach and responds to your requests. CONS: They almost always leave my balcony light on and the bathroom trash cans are usually put back in a different locations. i find these to be minor issues. I've had 3 different cleaners and Spotless is by far the best. They really differentiate themselves with their flexibility, communication and consistent quality. read more

I have been a client of Spotless NE for almost 5 months now, and they have always pleased us. They do a great job cleaning our apartment every week. Best of all, Nick the owner is easy to get in touch with, and he sends you a reminder/confirmation text message a day before each cleaning. The team always came right on the dot, and if there were any delays I'd be informed about it, which is great!
