I don't normally write reviews, but I feel taken advantage of by XPro Cleans and want to warn…read moreothers. I'll break my feedback into three parts: upcharges, scheduling, and quality. Upcharges Like another reviewer, I called XPro Cleans to schedule a move-in/move-out cleaning and was upfront and clear about what I needed. Somehow that was interpreted as a "deep clean", and they quoted me that price. Of course when the XPro crew showed up to find an empty apartment they realized their error. What I wanted was move-in/move-out service, so when XPro called to say they were going to charge me more I agreed to pay the difference, but it is disingenuous at best to quote a lower price to get the work scheduled and then not accept the consequences of your own mistake. "Deep clean" is not a standardized term. I described what I needed, and XPro Cleans essentially applied the wrong label and wanted me to cover for their mistake. Much worse, however, was their insistence that the place was dirtier than expected and needed extra cleaning that I would have to pay for (separate from the above price increase). During the initial scheduling call with XPro I was asked to rate how dirty the property was on a scale of 1-10. I don't know what kind of mess the supposedly professional XPro cleaners would consider a 10 (I imagine something like a hoarder's house), so I said it was about a 5 thinking I was being very conservative by overstating how dirty the place was. I know this will only come across as "he-said, she-said" in an online review, but the truth is I have been doing this almost 20 years and the apartment was left in one of the cleanest conditions I have ever seen after a move-out. There was barely even any dust. To insist that the place was so dirty it needed extra cleaning is borderline fraud. The icing on the cake was that after receiving my "final" invoice for the cleaning service after the work had been completed, I got yet another "final-final" upcharge. When I called to ask what this could possibly be for, I was told they had miscalculated the extra cleaning fee based on the original deep clean price instead of the price for the move-in/move-out cleaning, as if that should even matter. If anything, the extra cleaning fee should have been reduced if I was already upgrading from a deep clean to the supposedly more comprehensive move-in/move-out clean. All told this felt like, at best, a series of mistakes by XPro that they refused to accept responsibility for or, at worst, intentional deception. Scheduling I had originally accepted scheduling this cleaning for the end of the day, but asked to be fit into the schedule earlier if at all possible. The morning-of, I received a call at approximately 8:55am that the cleaning crew could be there between 9-10am. I rushed over to the apartment, prepared to meet the cleaners, with (unfortunately) my four-month old in tow. By 10am no one had showed up, so I called and was told they would be there at 11am. At 11am I called again and was told I would receive a call back with an ETA. At 11:45am I called again and was told it would be another two hours before someone was there. At 1pm I called again and was told the cleaning crew was "8 minutes" away. The cleaners did not arrive until after 1:30pm. I had to continually rearrange my whole day, while caring for a four-month-old, based on the misinformation I kept receiving. If punctuality matters to you, be warned. Service Quality The cleaning was fine, but only just fine. I ended up having to wipe down a few things myself after the XPro crew left, they used some of my supplies, and I even had to park and un-park their vehicle for them because they couldn't do it themselves! For the price, and especially after all the upcharges, this was just unacceptable. Summary This wasn't just a string of innocent mistakes. Other reviews suggest similar issues, pointing to a pattern. Regardless of whether XPro Cleans is just disorganized or outright dishonest, I won't be using them again and I suggest others avoid them as well.

This sounds like a good idea, but he changed the day of the cleaning without checking that I was actually available. I emailed him to clarify and change the day to something that worked for both of us. The first time, I altered my schedule to be there. The 2nd time, he never responded to emails asking to change the day/time, except finally in a text message the day before to say that he was too busy doing a new estimate. However, after being robbed by one of the cleaners, I needed to share this review. In the past, I've generally been happy with the cleanings, though there have been minor issues here and there. The quality of the cleaning often depends on who Eni sends, as some cleaners are better than others. On occasion, I've had to point out areas that weren't up to par. I also had one incident where one of the cleaners left my home unlocked while I was on vacation and accidentally took my keys. The keys were returned to my lockbox the next day, but my home remained unlocked until I returned. Eni apologized, and we agreed not to have that cleaner return to my home. While she was kind, I couldn't risk that happening again. What prompted me to write this review, however, was a robbery. This past weekend was my birthday, and I had several birthday cards (one still sealed in an envelope) in a pile on my dining room buffet. When I returned home, I noticed the pile was missing. Normally, if there are papers in the house, the cleaners either clean around them or neatly stack them without moving them. I asked Eni to check with the cleaners (one of whom was new and had never cleaned my home before) to see where the cards had gone. I was told they were placed in a cabinet on the shelf--something they shouldn't have done in the first place. I checked, and sure enough they were where they said they were but the sealed card had been opened, the money was gone, and a card that previously contained a gift card was missing the gift card. I called Eni immediately and expressed how upset I was. She was very apologetic, told me she had fired the cleaner who took the money, and offered to send me the amount that was stolen (which she did through Venmo). However, after this experience, I felt that I could no longer trust her service. The fact that Eni doesn't seem to properly vet the people she hires makes it impossible for me to continue using her services. I can't risk having someone like that in my home again.
