Over the past year of working with Kayla there have been consistent changes to her prices without notification, consistent attempts to nickel and dime an extra dollar out of us. She charges for every single dish she loads to every single thing she folds. When our normal cleaning went up by $100 out of nowhere a few weeks ago we inquired to why that was and she informed us that we are now paying a $20 Venmo transaction fee in addition to all these other charges to the same stuff she's been doing for a year. She did not notify us before she raised her prices either. When my family decided to terminate services with her, she referenced a contract that says she needs 30 day notice before ending. A few weeks ago we gave her notice that her rising prices were not something we can continue to do and she said she understood and then this week informed us that she needs an additional 30 days of payment to terminate the contract. When we asked her to at least clean if we have to pay $1000 (2 cleanings) can you at least do the cleaning. She refused stating after we complained about the prices she doesn't feel comfortable working for us. So she's got VERY thin skin. Words cannot express how dishonest this person is. It's really nice that she has a spreadsheet and she itemize all the things she has done which makes her come off as incredibly professional, but what it actually has shown itself to be incredibly dishonest, deceitful, & shady practices. As a business owner myself and having a family that has multiple businesses, we are very familiar with the nuances of entrepreneurship, but we are also big believers in honesty and transparency and this person does not uphold that in anyway. Recently we have found that she has been posting photos of our home (master bath and messy kitchen) on yelp and Google without any consent or permission. Legally, this is called Unauthorized invasion of privacy. This is grossly illegal. Good thing we have a lawyer in the family and will probably be dealing with her accordingly. ***update: She continues to lie in response to my review. This person is continuously disgusting and I'm sure she's gonna just continue to get this review removed. Remember good & honest people don't go around calling themselves a "good & honest person", they just are!

We asked Doug to use a fragrance free product and he gave us the advice that the fragrance free product might not pick up the trapped oils as well, but he did what we asked. Then he called. He felt the carpet really didn't look as good as it could, even though it started out very dirty. So he started twice as long, went through and cleaned it again with a regular cleaner that had a degreaser in it. He left the air movers over the weekend and there wasn't any odor when we opened for business. I know this carpet probably needs to be replaced, but if I can hold off doing that for another year with Doug's help that'll be great for us! Thanks for your fastidious work!

Kerry arrived 5 minutes early and completed the job in a very timely manner. I had a few areas on the stairs where the carpet was stretched and he fixed those areas for me. The carpet on the stairs looks so good now. I was so pleased with the cleaning and the fixing of the carpet on my stairs. Kerry's price was so reasonable that I made my tip much larger than I would have otherwise.

Very, very poor workmanship. I was told by Kerry that he could install 3/4 inch red oak floors on…read moretop of my concrete slab on my main floor. He told us that the entire process should take no longer than 3-4 weeks. Following are just a few of the issues we have had: Issue 1. Kerry told us that he was going to use Grade 2 unfinished Red Oak. We were told that the only difference was that Grade 2 had a few more "knot holes" in it, but he would only use the best pieces to try to eliminate the knot holes from our finished floor and that if there were pieces with a few small know holes that he would install them along the outer edges of the rooms where they can be covered by furniture and he would fill them with a wood filler. He told us that after he sanded and polyurethaned the floors, you would not even notice the knot holes. -RESULTS. He did not place the pieces with the knot holes along the edges of the room. Instead, they are all over the middle of our floors. In addition, he did not use a wood filler that could take a stain and he used the wrong color wood filler. Therefore after he sanded and polyurethane the floors, there are more than 100 holes that have been filled with this wood filler and as a result there are are a 100+ holes who's colors do not match the rest of the wood floor. They stand out like a sore thumb. Issue 2. Kerry "floated" the concrete floors, as you should prior to starting the gluing process. However, he used the WRONG GLUE, when he put down these hardwood floors on the concrete. He used a glue specific to engineered wood floors, a product called Roberts 1407. Written on the back side of the 4 gallon container of 1407 are the words "do not use on hardwood floors or engineered floors over 1/2 inch thick". RESULTS- After 3 weeks of being glued, my floors are already starting to come up and buckle. I contacted a company that specializes in re-installing and gluing hardwood floors. They identified 16 different spots in this new floor that need to be re-glued using the correct glue. I also called Roberts, the manufacturer of the 1407 product. They told me that my contractor had used the WRONG glue on this concrete slab, and that due to moisture concerns associated with concrete slab homes, Kerry should have used a Product called Roberts 1540. Like the 1407 product, the 1540 product comes in 4 gallon buckets. However, the 1504 product is $100 MORE per 4 gallon bucket. Kerry claims he used up to 10 buckets of glue on this floor. Therefore, it would have cost him $1,000 more to use the correct glue. Issue 3. We contracted Kerry to do 4 rooms of hardwood floors; a kitchen, a middle room connecting the kitchen to the main den, the main den, and an office space. RESULT- Kerry only laid hardwood in 3 of the 4 rooms. The 4th room is sitting and waiting for him to put in the hardwood floors. Issue 4. Poor Workmanship. Kerry was suppose to lay a thin layer of wood filler on the floors prior to him sanding and putting on the polyurethane. He did that. However, when he sanded he did NOT get all the wood filler off the wood and polyurethaned over it. There are spots in this new floor where the top layer of the floor does NOT show off the hardwood, but rather the discolored wood filler. In addition, you can see sanding and buffing marks all over this new floor. I have had 3 different hardwood flooring companies come out in the last 2 weeks, and all made the same negative remarks about the sanding/buffing marks. Issue 4. No Responses from calls and texts by myself to Kerry for over 2 weeks. My wife and I left our home for 2 days while Kerry was suppose to put on the coats of polyurethane. When we came back from our stay in a hotel, we were appalled at the appearance of these new floors. We had hardwood in our old home and knew what the finished product should look like. I told Kerry of our disappointment. My wife was especially mad and told Kerry in no uncertain terms was this job acceptable. Kerry said he wanted to fix it and make us happy. Over the next few days Kerry and my wife texted each other. My wife was so distraught with her new wood floors and Kerry's non-responsiveness that she told him that she was through dealing with him and that he would have to deal directly with me in order to reconcile this situation. That was over 2 weeks ago. Since that time, my wife has had NO oven or refrigerator in her kitchen because Kerry removed them to polyurethane the floors AND I have left repeated messages and texts for Kerry to call me to resolve these above issues. He has not called me as of Friday August 19th and this job, quoted to take 4 weeks, is still not finished in week 9. Description of work: Tear out old flooring and install new 3/4 inch red oak hardwood floors in approximate area of 1100 square ft.
