My experience with the Closet Factory in St. Louis was great from start to finish. I knew I wanted to transform a good sized office (connected to the bedroom) into a large dressing room. I went into the project having no sense of what the cost might be. I worked with Kris as my designer. On her first visit she took some measurements and was able to give me a rough minimum cost. She was very transparent on pricing and the scheduling (at the time I finalized design they were scheduling installations at least 90 days out). I was pretty particular on some of the things I knew I wanted/didn't want. We went through MANY design iterations and Kris was always happy to make the adjustments. She was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to give some great ideas and also quickly identify limitations and things to consider when I was posing ideas. She was also able to give me a good ballpark on cost to make certain changes, which was really helpful in choosing which direction to go. I didn't want lots of adjustable holes to show, so Kris took the time to help me measure out exactly where rods and shelves should be placed. After the long awaited install dates came around, things went pretty quickly. Peter did the install and I can tell he spent time making sure everything was level and installed correctly. The install was scheduled for three days. Things were moving quickly enough that Peter was able to complete the install in just two days (and stayed a little late to get it done that second day). He always made sure to clean up before he left. Kris stopped by both days to make sure things were going as expected. I damaged a piece the first day stepping where I shouldn't have, and Peter was out later the same week to fix it which was faster than I expected! Things to consider - get lots of drawers even though they're pricey. You can never have too many drawers. The upgraded shaker style drawers, gold rods, and crown molding were 100% worth it in my opinion. So was purchasing quality hardware. I purchased my own and gave it to the team to use during fabrication. I also got 24" depth units so the clothes would not extend beyond the wall shelves. Most don't opt for this, but I wanted a really clean look and had the space to do it. Overall I would certainly recommend Closet Factory if you're looking at a closet makeover. Seem to have problems with them following up on business. I've been trying for six months to get a quote on a couple of projects and call the sales rep and get no response. I did get her to come out again, three months ago and said no I apologize. I'll get back to you in a couple of weeks that was three months ago. So I called again last week Tuesday still haven't gotten a response so I guess it's time to move on. Good luck with them if your project isn't worth more than $5000. They're likely not to spend time with you Even if in the past like I did I spent $10,000. read more

I purchased a home in Ocean Isle Beach that had single rows of standard wire-coated shelving in the primary bedroom. The closet itself is massive but the space was not being fully utilized. I met with Steve from the Wilmington, NC location 3 weeks prior to our move, so my order was placed and installation was scheduled for soon after our move-in date. Our installers, Alex & Bentley, were friendly and professional. They arrived on time and their work was complete in less than 3 hours. They left the area in perfect condition. She came to my home and we talked about what I wanted and offered up options to create my vision and boy did she create! She would check in with us along the way and even personally came by our home, the same day the closet was installed, to make sure we were completely happy. The installer Dustin did an incredible job. He was very professional and his attention to detail is like no other. One area of the closet actually has the back exposed to the rest of the room and he made it look like a beautiful wall. Dustin left the area free of any debris from the installation process, it was completely clean. We could not be more pleased with The Closet Factory! I purchased a closet organizing system from The Closet Factory through Home Depot. I had just painted my ceiling a few days before the install. My ceiling is dirty! I also repeatedly stated I needed hanging space because I didn't need a lot of shelves due to the size of the closet. I explained I didn't want shelves above the hanging items because I needed hanging space. They never asked how long was my longest item for the short hanging or the long hanging. I got shelves AND my clothes on both long & short bars are on the floor or completely covering the hangers below, which could result in damage to my clothes. I have to move the shelves that I DIDN'T WANT, to make room for my tops, dresses & coats. I spent a lot of money and I don't have the results I sought! I paid for shelves I didn't need and I have to purchase rods to accommodate my needs. I am so disgusted with The Closet Factory's design. read more

The St. Louis Closet Factory company is absolutely AMAZING! My first project with them was our kitchen pantry. I love it so much that I show it to people when they come over to my house. Everything is organized and has a place. Next we had Closet Factory do both of my daughters closets. The difference was incredible! They have a place for everything and it doesn't get cluttered. I just hired them again to design and build out a system for our master bedroom closet.
