This I went to Spotlight lashes & nails in Rancho Cucamonga because my regular lash tech had no same-day openings. The front desk employee ( turned out to be the manager) was very sweet, which I appreciated. I showed the lash tech Jessica a reference photo and clearly asked for a volume/wispy set. She assured me she could do it, but the final result was sparse and looked nothing like the inspo photo I provided. I asked for more fullness during the appointment and was told it was done, but there was no visible difference. Her technique was poor and there was a mirror check but due to all the tape I had on my bottom lashes. I was barely able to even open my eyes. When I left, the lashes were completely stuck together and unbrushable. I did said they looked "OK" at the end of the appointment because I felt uncomfortable, but they were objectively not what I asked for. I waited 45 minutes in my car to see if the reasoning behind the clumping was because the bonding solution was in fully dry yet, but that wasn't the case. I decided to go back and try to find a solution to this issue, the same tech Jessica offered to "fix" them. Due to her lack of knowledge during removal, she caused an abrasion on my eye as the solution was burning my eyes. They were persistent on having a different lash tech service me as the manager even agreed with me that it was a terrible job. I decided to take my refund and spend it elsewhere because NEVER will I EVER step foot in that salon again. For the cherry on top I ended up going to urgent care the next day and due to the carelessness of the employee I had to go to urgent care for treatment, turns out I had an abrasion on my left eye. I ended up going to a different lash studio my friend recommended, where I had a significantly better experience and got the exact volume/wispy set I originally wanted with no damage. Bottom line: Kind staff does not excuse unsafe technique. Causing an eye injury is unacceptable. I do not recommend this salon for lash extensions. Save your money, and more importantly, your eyes. I have urgent care documentation and photos if the owner would like to discuss. read more

This was my first time going to this salon. I chose this place because it is extremely close to my place of employment. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it. I set up an appointment for the sugar scrub pedicure but what I received was a very, very basic pedicure. It seemed to be the first pedicure for my technician as well. She gave me a menu which said I receive a complimentary beverage with my service. So I picked one. Never received it. Not sure she even understood what a margarita was when I told her I would have one. There was no sugar scrub portion of the sugar scrub pedicure. In fact, she didn't even buff my toes. And when I asked, she just looked confused and nodded her head. I thought maybe she was going to just charge me for the basic pedicure since that is what I received. However, when I went to pay I was in fact charge for service that I did not receive. :-( read more

Came to Spotlight Lashes and Nail Salon as a first-time client because I'm always searching for a really good pedicure spot. I'm an every-two-weeks kind of girl when it comes to pedicures, and after my last favorite salon gave me a nail infection that took over a year to heal, I'm extra particular now about cleanliness and quality. I got an acrylic fill and a pedicure. Ty did my fill and was absolutely amazing. Super pleasant, knew exactly what they were doing, and honestly the only reason I would even consider coming back. Unfortunately, my pedicure experience with Nina was the complete opposite. She was friendly at first and upsold me from the #3 package to the next option up for an additional $10, which I didn't mind because I genuinely enjoy being pampered and expected better service for the price. Considering the pedicure alone was already over $55 before extras like gel, I expected a quality experience. Instead, it felt like she was rushing through everything on a timer. I noticed she wasn't pushing back my cuticles properly and wasn't even working near the nail bed, just going side to side on the edges of the nail. Then I realized she wasn't cutting my cuticles at all. I hadn't had a pedicure in over 4 weeks, so I definitely knew there was dead skin buildup. When I pointed it out and told her I just wanted to downgrade back to the basic package because I wasn't happy with the service, she seemed visibly upset. Only after I called it out did she actually start properly cutting my cuticles and removing dead skin. Then she had the audacity to point at the dead skin and say, "Look at all this dead skin," and I responded, "I know, that's why I told you to slow down." She also seemed irritated when I asked for regular polish instead of gel polish on my toes. Her attitude completely changed after that, and she didn't even finish my pedicure herself -- she had someone else finish polishing my toes. Even Ty apologized on her behalf because of how rude she came across during the appointment. To top it off, the massage was literally about 1 minute per leg -- yes, I timed it because I always do. If 2 minutes total is considered standard for a basic pedicure here, that's disappointing. Needless to say, I'll continue my search for a quality pedicure spot. 0/5 for the pedicure experience with Nina. 5/5 for Ty and the acrylic fill. read more

One star is too generous. I had a truly awful experience here and will never return. From the moment I walked in and signed in with the red-haired girl at the front desk (who was nice), I was made to feel uncomfortable. She let my nail tech, Michelle, know I had arrived. When Michelle looked at me, I smiled and waved -- and she gave me the dirtiest look. I mentioned this to the front desk, and she brushed it off, saying, "That's just how she is." I should have trusted my gut and left then. I went in for a full set Gel-X French manicure and specifically asked for a nude color that would not be see-through and told her I do not like pink tones. She completely ignored that, pulled out the exact colors I said I didn't like, and when I politely said no, she walked away and left me standing there. Still trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, I stayed. But as she did my nails, I showed her a photo of how I like my French tips thicker. She kept doing them thin anyway. When I reminded her of the picture and asked her to please make them thicker, she got an attitude, told me I should have told her earlier (I did), and then said she would never do my nails again -- right in front of another client. Completely unprofessional. At that point, I told her to remove them because I was uncomfortable and didn't appreciate being treated that way. She removed the gel from only one hand, leaving me with unfinished nails and still had the nerve to try to charge me nearly $80. I refused. After going back and forth, they finally lowered it to $57 -- which is still way too much considering I left with one bare hand and a horrible experience. Now I have to go pay another $30-$40 to have them done right somewhere else. Do yourself a favor: skip this place and go somewhere you'll be respected and treated like a paying customer. read more

Horrible place with horrible service. My wife got her nails done here and it resulted in an infection. The lady who did her nails kept messing up the design, shape and color. She then inspected and saw there was missing spots of color on her nails and one nail wasn't even finished completely. They asked her to call back the next day to make a new appointment but then the next day she got an infection. She went in to try to get her money back and the manager said she didn't care about her nails or infection, and that the store had insurance to handle that stuff and turned her away. Businesses should not treat customers in this way. Very disappointing and a little angry about how they treated her. read more

Updating because when I did go here they only offered card not cash. Very disappointing I had no cash on me and wasn't informed until after I got my nails AND toes done. A service easily over $100. I only had enough cash on me to leave a tip. They wanted us to use the ATM machine which I said absolutely not am not going to waste an extra $5 to pull out money. I had to ask if they accepted Zelle she said yes. Very unprofessional they should've stated at the beginning of service they were not taking card and offered Zelle as a parent method rather than making everyone use their ATM machine. Because of this I would not be returning very unprofessional. read more
