Pros: Activities: This place is packed with all types of things to do. There are several animals you can pet (Goats, Llamas, chickens, Cow, pony's and many more. There's a train that goes around the whole farm (included in your admission) and you can ride it as much as you want. They have several spots throughout the facility to reserve for birthday parties . There a HUGE mound of sand for the kids to have fun and a big playground. Plenty of places to take great photos! Location: I dread the words "It's off 1960" because this stretch of road has horrible traffic and some spots are not the best areas to be around but this spot is an excellent location. For all my golf folks, Tour 18 is right across the street ‍ Cons: Price: For a family of four (includes a 16 month old) we paid $80.00 plus food for animals for a total of $89.00. I know everything has gone up recently but I was a little blown away by this price. I would've expected a little more animals to pet or even some outdoor games to make up for this amount. Parking: Get here early or you will be parking in the "additional" parking spot which is a mowed field. Nothing against a mowed field but it isnt close so be ready to walk a little. Overall we will come back again this year since our kids had a blast!! If you're in the area give this farm a try.

They do have quite a few animals to admire and feed, pony rides, a train, playground areas for kids, a duck pond, a mountain of sand. As far as the animals go, they have llamas, sheep, goats, horses, cows, turtles, rabbits, chickens, ducks, pigs, and a donkey. You can go into a few of the pens to feed the animals. Others you can only feed from the outside. Some of the animals you can't feed. They specify all the rules at the front desk. We came strictly for the farm animals since our 14-month-old daughter has never met any. She's too young for playgrounds or sand mountains so we really only viewed the animals and took a train ride. Good thing she was free. If you're paying for a whole family to visit, you might as well spend a few hours here. Make sure you bring hats, water, sunblock. There wasn't a lot of shade (by the animal pens, at least) so it was HOT. Fairly large parking lot but it fills up. We barely found a spot. All the employees were really friendly and helpful.

Parking was free and there was plenty of space in the lot. Getting out wasn't bad at all either. Like what other reviews have stated, the tickets are not cheap ($45 after tax). And honestly, even as an adult, my friends and I had a blast- just channel your inner child and go on those rides! But if you're already set on going to numerous special attractions, just get the whole package online. As for food, I know Dewberry Farm has the snack pack available for $15.99 and that covers kettlecorn, lemonade, a cookie, and a snowcone. And honestly, that's pretty worth it because a kettlecorn bag itself was 10.99- it was very yummy btw, my friends and I almost killed the whole bag in one sitting. This is the second year we've come here in May to pick blueberries and blackberries. One of the…read moreworkers said that blueberry season is really a short 4-6 weeks time frame while blackberries are most of the summer. This year 2025, the blueberries are sweet but on the smaller side. The blackberries were not as good as some of them are tart or even sour as some seem to start fermenting? However in 2023 the blackberries were soooo sweet and juicy that even my husband liked them and he usually doesn't like blackberries. Maybe this year just wasn't good for blackberries. :/ The busket (basket bucket) is $1.50 and berries are usually $8-10 per lb but they ran a Memorial Day weekend promo for $4 a lb. We filled up our busket about 2/3 of the way for 2.7 lbs or $11 in blackberries and blueberries! Cheaper than Costco! Although it is a 45 min drive for us. Giant sunflowers were available too but all the wildflowers were picked already. Things to bring: Busket - if you already have one! Sunscreen - protect your skin! Hat - it's sunny! Water and a refill of water - it's HOT and you easily drink through 2 water bottles, plus if you use any to clean your pickings. neck towel / fan - nice to have I would also consider looking for a parking spot in the shade, usually to the left by the Farm Funland. I also put up our cars sunshade which helps too. This time, my 4 yo said her car seat wasn't that hot (whereas she will usually complain if it is), so i think jt worked! We only spent about 1.5 hours though from 1030-12noon, as it was getting really hot and the kiddo was over it. Overall, fun experience and some good berries but do come prepared for the heat!

The farm placed a small 8x11 inch sign near the entrance of a open field that read "pumpkin patch parking". Needless to say, we didn't see the sign until 3 U-turns. The entrance fee was $10, but it should have been more like $3. The grass was overgrown and sadly the grounds were upkeep. Per a friend, in previous years the farm provided a small train around the farm for the kids to ride, but this year nothing. The small playground was messy with lots of dirt on the toys and trash in the enclosed area. The staff was unfriendly and very rude at times. They provided horseback rides and the kids were able to do this, but the staff again very rude to the kids. It was like the kids were bothering them (why work at the farm if you don't like kids). The pumpkins ranged from $5-40 dollars and this was totally over priced since the size of the pumpkins we very small and you can purchase a better pumpkin from the local grocery store large and less expensive. They had a Halloween trail with lots of dirty plastic hands and feet. It was NOT frightening or scary at all and our 6-8 years olds ask why did the farm drop hands everywhere. Buyer beware and save your money, time and your kids from a horrible experience.

We filled both buckets with mostly ripe delicious strawberries. The kids still need to refine their picking skills. We then got snow cones, brisket and sausage. The kids played and had cotton candy. This was an extremely fun 3 hour activity. I was surprised to find so many delicious ripe strawberries this late in the season. In the end we spent a little over $100. The snow cones were super delicious- actual shaved ice. There are amazing photo ops and I took beautiful pictures of my kiddos. There are several fun pockets and experiences on this farm and it's very kid friendly. As a mom, I'm always having heart attacks because kids love to do crazy stuff, but here I felt very relaxed. Next time I would have them wear mud boots (our tennis are caked with mud). The strawberry fields weren't extremely muddy, but there were pockets of mud out there. We are eating the strawberries and my toddlers are thrilled and proud because they collected them. I just need to get a jam recipe to make this day last a few months. It was about 78 degrees outside, felt like 82, and with some cloudiness it was tolerable though still definitely sweaty. I would recommend bringing hiking boots or rain boots as footwear, the grass was very dewy in the morning and our feet were soaked in water after tramping on the grass for about 15 minutes. The energy at the farm was infectious! Coming from inside the loop, we are starved for nature. The welcoming vibe and natural surroundings really made it feel like a wonderful nature getaway only 45 minutes from the bustling city. The workers were smiling and relaxed, and gave us friendly advice. You can bring your own buckets but they also provide a cute cardboard box that can hold 10 lbs of berries, for 3 dollars. I would say the box is quite worth it--it has a little wire hanger on the top so you can carry it with you as you pick and the farm people suggested bringing it back in the future. They said that others have returned with boxes from 2019! We had a bit of confusion initially with the parking. There is no drive way and you drive across grass to park at the small makeshift lot, marked by cones. Pay attention to road signs on Binford road however it is pretty straightforward and should not be a huge issue. The farm is not large and you can walk from the entrance to the last blackberry field in about 15 minutes. It is easy to search the fields for ripe berries. The workers suggested where to find berries as well. As of 6/7, I saw lots of red berries but only 2-3 flowers. Although the farm put up a notice saying they are picked out for tomorrow, I would say you could probably eke out a few more weekends of blackberries, seeing the abundance of red berries. The Berry quality is amazing!! The drupes are huge and juicy. Some berries are quite large. They are extremely sweet and delicious. We initially only planned on picking a pound or two, but picking is so much fun that we ended up with 4 lbs. with entry fee being 3 dollars, basket being 3 dollars, and the fruit being 7 dollars for a lb, I'd say it is a decent deal for a few hours of decompressing in nature plus high quality, juicy fruit that is incredibly fresh and sweet. We observed abundant insect life, including lots of interesting spiders and green heteropterans. I studied entomology in college and it felt like an insect field trip honestly. We will be back for fig and grape season!!! If you're looking for a fun way to get hands on and pull yourself away from your phone this summer, Neal's berry farm is the spot!

I had no idea that this farm existed until recently. The original owner's of Neal's Restaurant in Spring decided to get out of the restaurant business in 2009 and went into the farming business. The purpose of my visit was to pick blackberries. Farm admission is $2 for those 2 years and up. You have to pay $2 for a blackberry/fruit picking box, and you can bring it back the next time you visit. If you plan to cut vegetables and flowers, you'll need to bring your own scissors. Also don't forget to bring mosquito repellant. I barely saw any mosquitos but I got bitten. There were a lot of blackberries to pick, and they tasted good. You can even buy a plant to take home and grow yourself. You can cut as many zinnias that will fit in a solo cup for $3. I got kale, eggplant and zucchini too. I'm sad I missed peach season and fig season is coming up. There's a sink to wash your hand and a port-a-potty. The parking area was over grass, and it was organized. The people I encountered were friendly, but they are strict about closing time. The only reason why I didn't give this place an extra star was b/c there weren't activities like you would find at other farms and a picnic area (I saw tables so maybe it was closed off b/c of the pandemic.) Overall I had a great time and would highly recommend it.
