Put an email address to receive the digital copy and when I opened that copy it was the full length photo not the cropped version ready to be submitted for online passport renewal . Went back to the store and I was told to get the cropped version it was $6 and I would put it on a USB stick . But the in-store advertisement shows to small passport photos and gree digital copy. I don't see how they can advertise that when they send you is a copy of the original almost full body length photo and not the one that has been cropped for passport use. ​ read more

I came back to Walgreens when the Kroger pharmacy decided to no longer accept GoodRx. I think it has been ~6 months until issues started popping up here. I had ordered several prescriptions, picked them up and tossed the bag into our little storage box here at the house for "when needed". Today, I needed one of the new scripts; but it wasn't in the bag! Turns out, one of my medications was replaced by someone else's prescription; and it wasn't even ours! Thankfully, after being allowed to speak to the pharmacy manager, my prescription was filled. And yes, their errors were reported to the Texas State Board of Pharmacies. read more

Long story, stick with me. Daughter in college a still used her ADD meds. Got a 90 day prescription from the doctor. Sent RX to Walgreens to be filled. Walgreens calls and says the insurance company dIsallows the 90 day supply and only allows a 30. Ok, what are my options. No other options given from the pharmacy. 30 day supply is $400+ less insurance of $100. $324 for 30 days. I remember the Good Rx app. Pull it up and a show the pharmacist. Total 30 day supply for $120. Dang! Pharmacist comment, "you can't use good Rx and file on your insurance." Really! Who cares for $200 savings. I leave. My wife asks me if they could give us the full 90 since we used Good Rx instead of insurance. I didn't think of that. She gets 5 stars. I call back to Walgreens. Yes. They could have filled the full 90 day supply earlier. Since they have already filled the smaller amount they can't re-run it for the additional 60. I have to go back to the doctor for another prescription. Come on! Why do I have to figure this out. You should have given me that option up front. read more

If they tell you your prescription is not available yet, you need to specifically ask them to check their inventory. I waited four days, daily bneing told my medication hadn't been delivered from the warehouse. When I stopped by to check in person, I got upset ehwn I learned that they don't actually check stock on some medications. Literally, they don't go look on the shelf. I waited four days for a medication that was in stock all along. Finding a new pharmacy that knows how to look on the shelves before making customers do without medications. read more

This is strictly for the pharmacy now that they outsource the majority of their prescriptions to be delivered to them. I hurt my back and urgent care called in 3 medications to alleviate the pain until I could get to the doctor. My dr called in all my prescriptions to the Tom Thumb down the street everything was ready in 2 hours. Meanwhile Walgreens still hadn't filled mine from the previous day. The pharmacy is so unreliable. I telephoned yesterday to request my prescriptions to be filled. They assured me they would be ready first thing in the morning. I arrive this morning at 10am and they are not ready! What more does a person have to do to get , not exceptional customer service, but just the required minimum. If a business can not preform a simple request, how can one expect them to come through when it might be an emergency. This isn't the first time this pharmacy has failed in this department. Short Summary: Walgreens sold me a scrips for $100, that I latter tried to use the GoodRX coupon that reduces the price to $40. And when I tried to use the GoodRX coupon, they hem and hawed in the hopes that I could not get the refund. My doctor called in 4 prescriptions on 12/21/2021 at the Walgreens # 03820 - 2140 East Campbell Road, Richardson,TX) I picked it up all 4 scrips that day and one of the four scrips was nearly $100, 3 times more than the price the doctor stated during the consult. These days, it's hard to get the doctors office staff on the phone directly, so I did not telephone the doctors office to further discuss the price. A few days latter -12/23/2021- I receive by snail mail some printed GoodRX coupons from the doctors office. Sure enough the same scrip mentioned above costing $100 without a coupon is sold for $40 using a GoodRx coupon. On 12/24/2021 I return to the same WG's (WG # 03820 - 2140 E Campbell, corner of Campbell and Jupiter roads) with the un-opened still stapled bag with the receipt still attached. This time I have the GoodRx coupon in hand.The young man says - 'Yes you can use that GoodRX coupon for an exchange today and I can help you with that, but it's lunch time please step back'. Once my hands were off the counter a barricade drops. Good thing my fingers weren't on the counter. Funny that, I've not known ANY pharmacy to outright close for lunch at all. I move on with my life. Fast forward to 1/3/2022. Back in town I return to the same WG. Now Sammy (guy) the pharmacy tech says 'Sorry can't help you with the exchange using the GoodRx coupon since the date of the transaction date is longer than 1 week, you see it's no longer in our queue.' I ask to speak with the manager, and I am told the same story. In short - no refund, exchange or reduction in the $100 scrip with coupon in hand. Trust me - we don't exchange pleasantries. So going forward Walgreens - 'I WILL NEVER USE YOU AGAIN FOR ANYTHING'. Doubt my resolve, don't hold your breath. So for all those here in Yelp cyberspace with great reviews for this particular walgreens, take note- I don't know what scrips they are giving to you for a fantastic review of this place. For the record: 1. ALL the other scrips picked up by myself on 12/21/2021 at the register were inexpensive. They cost within a couple of pennies of the GoodRX coupon price, but on Dec 21st I did not have on my person any GoodRx coupons. This brings me to my next point. 2. If Walgreens can sell me 3 of the 4 prescriptions at nearly the coupon price - without coupon in hand- then why has walgreens charged nearly 3 times the amount for the 4th prescription without a coupon. Said another way, you could sell THAT scrip to me for the $40 GoodRx price with a coupon, but instead charged me nearly $100 for the same prescription without a coupon. We all know you still made a profit! 3. Don't get me started about the inepitude of that particular walgreens staff. Maybe because I'm a wimpy dude from Southern California, but I cannot stand the tap water in Richardson. It has some sort of metallic old flavor to it that I cannot enjoy. So while I'd usually drink out of the tap at home, I just cannot when I visit here for business. Therefore I must make my trek out to some sort of store in order to buy bottled water. And Walgreens has been my go-to place. $4 for a 24 pack of water was my savior. And I was able to pick up a couple of energy drinks, too. But there was little selection (looked like they'd been cleaned out of a lot of items), so my choices were limited. It was funny when the checker asked for my zip code as I was paying to enter into her computer. She just kind of looked at me and said "not from around here, are you?" Nope, afraid not. read more

Let me start by saying that I have lived in this neighborhood in the same address for 24 years. I came to this location to get a prescription filled tonight. I arrived at 15 minutes before closure of the pharmacy. By the time I got someone's attention it was 14 minutes until closure. He said that he they did not have enough time to fill my 30 pills prescription because the process would take longer than that. Never mind the fact that they don't have anyone else waiting to receive a prescription. They instructed me to go to a 24 hour pharmacy nearby. I then went to the store Manager who then said and I quote I've never worked the pharmacy so I don't know how to answer you. A decent, clean store that is close to home. It would be easy to pick them apart about the small things but when you need photos in an hour or cough meds in a hurry there is no better place. Easy in and out. This location sells wine too. When the lines get more than three customers they call in an additional cashier. Most waits are caused by customers buying cigarettes and not seeing their particular size or style. "Don't you have 100s"? "Got any Kool Filter Kings"? Parking lot has ample space and is well lit. I like the Balance Rewards program Walgreens offers, and while I'm waiting for my scrips to be filled(if I didn't order ahead), I always check out the seasonal candy and new nail polishes:) The Walgreens ap has recently become way more user friendly, and you can pretty much use it to refill your prescriptions, check the dates your scrips are good through, how many you have left, and you can see the scrips that are outdated. This is a pretty powerful tool for people who have to keep up with multiple doctors and multiple prescriptions. read more

I got great customer service at the Walgreen's pharmacy. A woman at the window told me how much my medication was, which shocked me. I asked about a discount and she took the initiative to look up a discount program on her phone, which saved me $100!!! Of course was thrilled. As Walgreens go, it's pretty good. Pharmacy drive-thru is fairly quick and easy, although it would be nice at critical times to open up the 2nd lane so traffic doesn't back up and block the entrance/exit to Campbell. Every time I've been there, the 2nd lane is purposefully blocked by an overturned shopping cart. read more

This is actually a review for the Salvation Army Red Kettle at this Walgreen's location. The gentleman who runs this kettle is fantastic. He beautifully sings Christmas carols at his post and you can hear the wonderful melodies as you wait in line to check out. While anyone who volunteers their time for such a worthwhile cause is a special person, this gentleman goes way above and beyond. It was awesome to see everyone smiling as they came through the front door during a fairly busy lunch hour rush. He definitely made my wait in line an enjoyable experience and I will be sure to have a donation ready every time I stop by Walgreens. read more

This particular location is to be avoided at all costs. They will have 8 people in line and 1 cashier and no one stocking the shelves bothers to come ease the rush. In fact, on my most recent visit, an employee was doing price checks on one register and would not open it to ring anyone up. The store manager walked right by me and 2 other customers without so much as a "Hello" or "How many I help you", not seeming to mind the crowd of people waiting to be rang up. I just wanted to put in a good word for the pharmacy! I delayed going to the dr until late the other nite and by the time I got there I knew they would be closing. I pulled in drive thru to just ask where the nearest 24 hr store was. The young man insisted that they were open for 5 more minutes and he would get it filled.... "Don't move we will take care of you it's okay." It was just great! Today at 3:00, I called this specific Walgreens. After a waiting period, I was connected with a pharmacist. I asked the pharmacist if the store had typhoid vaccinations. He replied yes. I asked if the Walgreens allowed walk in appointments to administer the vaccines. He said yes. After 15 minutes I arrived at the store location. I went to the pharmacy and asked for a typhoid vaccination. The pharmacist replied that they had typhoid vaccinations in stock, however that they did not have anyone licensed to deliver the vaccination. I asked why they stated that they had walk in vaccinations only 15 minutes ago. The pharmacist seemed apologetic, however did not have a suitable reason other than sorry. Also, while waiting in line, another lady heard of this predicament, and told me that similar situations had occurred with her and that certain people answering calls were not qualified and sometimes had no idea what they were talking about.
