I really don't understand the great reviews. My husband and I ate there and although they only charged us for the salad bar (or lack there of) and we didn't even eat salad just a bowl of the super salty seafood bisque and bland Italian Wedding soup. We ordered seafood, I ordered the shrimp flowers and my husband ordered the haddock. His haddock was worse than rubber and my shrimp were so over cooked that they tasted awful! If you really want quality go to the Collegeville diner (which was not great when they switched owners buy has gotten better) or brookside diner in Pottstown. Why pay for food that is going to be overcooked and either bland or super salty?? read more

First visit last week to give it a try after hearing feedback from other locals. It's a notch above the Limerick Diner, which would be one star. Service was fine and attentive but the food and atmosphere are no better than average. Most Seniors probably go for the senior plates that include the soup and salad bar (average at best). Tried the seafood bisque which was very thick and somewhat fishy; not a true bisque. Italian wedding soup was salty. No comparison to the other diners in Pottstown and Collegeville. Will not go back. But be sure to visit the artist studios across the street which are open one day a month. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night with my husband and toddler. We were seated right away and the service was quick and friendly. This place has comfort food executed well with an atmosphere that feels like it's been the same for 40 years! I got the chicken croquettes, my husband got chicken fried steak (his go to diner order), and we got Mac & cheese for the little one. Our meals came with soup & salad bar and by the time our entrees arrived(very quickly I can say) I was already pretty full. We ended up taking dessert and half our meals home. You won't leave here hungry! The food was tasty and hot. Just what you want on a rainy night. Hey, I'm game for anywhere that considers Mac & cheese a vegetable. Happy dining! read more

It is what it should be. Sick to the basics and you can't go wrong. It is also a big space so there is rarely a wait even at the busiest times. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later on the weekends when you really NEED diner food. read more

If you're looking for a decent place to pop in and have breakfast, this mom and pop joint fits the bill. The restaurant is dated and looks a little dingy, but is obviously cleaned often. Clientele seems to be predominantly middle-aged and over local folks, which is just fine by us. Service was just fine, nothing to write home about there. After posting on the Diners facebook page I recieved a repsonse form them as posted below. "I assure you that the "boss"/cook/owner did not run his finger through your omelette. He would have gladly made you another omelette or anything else if requested. It is not our style to seek revenge on customers. The server did not conv...ey the proper information to you either. You should not have had to pay for your omelette- she was instructed by the owner to have it removed. She was also instructed to explain that the spanish omelette is made with cheddar cheese (yellow and melted inside) and salsa (which can sometimes be a little watery). My sincere apology for the misunderstanding. I will gladly refund you the cost of the spanish omelette and give you a gift certificate for another meal. I can leave these items at the diner with the hostess. Or you can call the diner and leave your name and address and I will mail it to you. Again, I am very sorry for the misunderstanding. Heather, Owner" I politely rejected the offer for myself however I did ask that the offer be extended to the next Veteran or active person serving in the United States Armed Forces. Dead average. Stopped for breakfast on Mother's day 2013 so some of the issues I will relate may be due to large mother's day crowd. This restaurant has a mix of booths and tables but most of the tables are sized for large groups. So ask for a booth or expect to wait during busy times. Two of the omelets were described as very cheesy and very good. A western omelet was just OK. And the eggs and bacon were so-so. The noise level was fairly high until the crowd cleared somewhat. Considering the crowd the waitress did a good job. During the long wait for a seat, I did observe a lot of chumminess with customers. It appears they get many regulars. Restrooms were fairly clean considering the large crowd. There is plenty of parking. read more

Stopped here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The prices were great and the selection was wide. The wait staff is very attentive. I enjoyed my broccoli and cheese omelette with bacon and hash browns. I was a nice large serving. I like Annamarie's but it gets very crowded and it's a small tight space. Been here twice this week. 1st time had soup and salad bar was awesome. Grape leaves were excellent, loved the beets and chick peas.. with 3 soups for 7.99 it's impossible to beat. 2 days later we came back for eggs Benedict. Delicious and cheap. Great classic diner! read more

We live nearby and usually have breakfast/dinner a few times per month. The breakfast is solid, nothing spectacular, but very good diner fare. Dinner is also very solid, with some excellent specials (roasted chicken and Mediterranean Halibut are stand outs). Most dinner entrees include the soup and salad bar, once again solid, with a choice of three soups, bread and crackers, and a smaller but nicely appointed salad bar (along with pasta salads, cole slaw ect.) The coffee is good and they have a very nice selection of dessert pies. The wait staff has always been very friendly. There is very rarely a wait and there are lots of tables, and prices are very reasonable (for 3 to have breakfast cost usually runs around $20). Overall, a good choice if you like a no-nonsense diner. read more

The salad bar was OK. I ordered the meatloaf and my partner ordered the quesadilla. When the the meal came to the table I was confused I thought that they brought me the liver. It seemed that the cook grilled it to warm it up. The meat was the most dry thing that I very tasted. The waitress seem surprised when I sent it back. They did remove the charge for the meat load but did charge me for the salad bar and baked potato. I don't believe that i will be dining here again. read more

We drove all the way to Royersford to try Annamarie's on July 5. We were very disappointed they were closed. Someone walking by suggested Spring-Ford diner and my disappointment about missing breakfast at Annamarie's faded. We shared the meat lovers omelet and blueberry pancakes. I don't like battered fries at all, prefer regular fries but forgot to ask what they served when ordering. As I was leaving I saw that some people had regular looking fries on their plate. Do they serve two different kinds of fries? If so, I think customers should be told that when ordering. read more
