My mother-in-law recently moved into the facility. Very nice room. Lots of activities. Amazing staff. They are helpful. They are patient and kind. They took good care of my mother-in-law. No doubt it is a beautiful facility. The parking lot environment does not go unnoticed. What is a plus if you get beyond that is the location. It is central to shopping,services, and a multitude of activities. Residents are friendly and welcoming, each a testament to their satisfaction with the facilities. The tour (measured by the guide's enthusiasm) was obviously not high on the list of things to do that day. The virtual tour had more excitement. If giving a tour sells your facility to a potential family your heart needs to be in it. What sets Spring Gardens apart? A library, a crafts room, a theater, an ice cream bar,, a dining room? It seems cuisine are touted as being the best at all the senior living we visited. No one showed us a sample of a meal, or offered a thirst quenching beverage. We were told we could purchase a meal coupon...not the right answer for a family about to plop down several grand a month. A better demonstrated tour is in order. The tour showed sizzle...not the steak. The missing star is the "service" in setting SPRING GARDENS apart. It didn't and should have. I've demonstrated many products and services to thousands of customers in 35 years...this tour eeds to be polished and focused more on what the family member needs, rather than THIS is what we got. My son found this place for me and I must admit I had sticker shock at the cost! I have been here over a month and I must say I am totally delighted! The food is very good! The ENTIRE staff is exceptional! The whole complex is meticulously maintained, inside and out! I feel like I am living in a five star resort! My only complaint has been the ordinary coffee! I now have a Keurig coffee maker in my room and I am TOTALLY happy here! Every unit is freshly painted whenever a resident leaves! There is even an ice cream parlour! Which by the way my granddaughter really loves! She can't believe it's free! read more

Our grandmother has been loving at Spring Gardens for the past several years. Our family is deeply concerned with her level of care. Spring Gardens was sold in recent years. We have noticed a disturbing drop in the level of care provided to their members/tenants since its new owners came in. The restaurant staff is pretty inept. They let our grandmother sleep through entire meals then woke her to send her back to her room hungry. She lost at least 30 pounds she couldn't afford to lose. The staff talked certain members of this family into placing her in "hospice care". They did so by claiming this would make it easier (and cheaper) to get her a wheelchair, etc. Then they started drugging her. Morphine along with sleep medications. A deadly combo. This inept facility had her completely bed bound and drugged to the gills for six months. They told us she was "dying". We had to fight to have her safely removed from this place. Do not be fooled by the pretty entryway and eating lounge. We were fooled by this. Granny is recovering from her time at Spring Gardens. She's not dying after all. With appropriate treatment her back pain has been alleviated without any more deadly narcotics. Granny took a series of falls here. Our family wasn't notified until her latest fall. read more
